    Guys,

You can sign up for informed mail delivery from USPS https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action instead of waiting for the mail and checking, USPS images what is coming in the mail to you. Saves a lot of time and waiting. At least we know what mail piece is coming, specially since this case transferred thing from USCIS.

wait for NVC to receive your case then it will be forward to VN Embassy, You can start gathering the i134 documents and have your fiancée forward it to you and also wait for Packet 3 letter https://vn.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/40/K-Instruction.pdf, and start completing the DS-160 form after u get the HCM case number from NVC. Once fees are paid for DS 160 then start your medical exam appointment and register http://www.ustraveldocs.com/vn/index.html?firstTime=No

You should be getting NOA1 tomorrow or Saturday. The latest would be next Monday. If it doesn't arrive by then usual time would be 2 weeks after check is cashed.

We brought tax returns, medical, photos, bank accounts statements, Passport, driver license, I-94. Our CO didn't look at half the stuff just photos and bank accounts in our joint names. It is always better to be prepared and bring more than needed and copies just in case u need to reference back to any documents.

I think u need to really understand the process and difference between a k1 and cr1. K1s marry within 90 days of your fiancée in the USA. Cr1s are when u marry abroad. U can't file for AOS if u are not married. That's the k1 requirement whitin 90 days of he or she arrival in the USA.

We arrived about 15min prior to our appt then had to go through security check points. Show our IDs and our appointment letter. Brought more than enough documents with me. We then proceeded to the check in area where a lady scanned our letter and waited for our names to be called they will call your wife's name. I had a friend come to translate but they CO asked me if I spoke my native language and I said yes so she let me translate for my wife. After that we sat down in the CO's room and she began to look at our paperwork and began asking questions to me and my wife.
Some of the questions are going to be different for everybody. She asked me where I work what are my hrs, the address, where did I live before moving, who was I living with, was there anyone attending my wedding, what does my wife do for work, the place she works at, where does she attend school, how did we meet, where did we go for vacation, do we have bank accounts together, how does my wife get paid from her employer, how does she get to school and work, what are the names of her parents and siblings, who went on vacation with us, how many times have I been back to visit my wife before she came here on k1 visa, has my wife traveled outside the USA since being here, has her family ever been to the USA to visit, when did we get serious during our relationship, the other questions were strictly from the AOS section of your application.
Is she a member of any church organization, has she ever been arrested, does she give money to terrorist, has she been involved in any illegal activity or gotten money from any groups, does she like the communist part, what countries are communist nations, has she been involved in any human trafficking or prostitution. Word of advice study the questions on your AOS application and know how u met and fell in love. What we went through was a lot of questions and was similar to when she got her K1 interview. So guys be prepared and provide documents showing how both of u handle your banking, who's on the lease, bills, and know both of your schedules of the day. It also depends on the CO if they feel your answers are sufficient enough for them. We provided about 30 pics but she didn't even ask for them. I had my lease agreements showing both our names, cell phone bill, bank accounts etc. Also bring your ID passport her passport or state ID card, ssn, my US citizenship document. I pretty much laid out my whole process for u guys so good luck to rest of your interviews and pray. ?
