haha trust me I know how you feel! You can find a detailed sheet of people waiting for their interview and who had an interview, also a link to a thread where people are awaiting for interviews or people who got interview dates.. whenever I see this updated I call the NVC.. lol
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/543013-may-2015-interviews/
Just keep trying sometimes it takes weeks or months for other people, it depends on the country I believe. I waited a little over two weeks for mine.. I found out my interview date by calling (friday) and got my email of the interview date on Monday/Tuesday
Hope you get yours soon!

since you are a CR1 visa, you will wait for the NVC to coordinate with the embassy regarding your interview date... only for K1 visas as far as I know schedules their own appointment. You will either wait for NVC to email you that they have set a schedule for you or you can keep calling them to see if there's any update.

Yeah, it's understandable that you wouldn't have much since you don't live in the same country and don't have children or joint property. BTW, don't worry about not having a big wedding. My husband and I got married at a courthouse in plainclothes and had our "reception" at Jack in the Box. We don't even have rings. We just had 2 crappy cellphone photos of the ceremony and that was good enough for our GC interviewer.
I think you'll be okay as long as you've got all the evidence you can think of. I know how it feels to be paranoid and stressed all the time about it... and I came out the other side wishing I hadn't worried so much. Try to let yourself relax!
thank you so so much. it feels like we have the same scenario! Our reception was a breakfast at a cute diner near where we live.
thank you to you and J&ana!

So you have tax returns, 10+ photos, and lots of IM logs? Sounds good to me, although I'm not an expert and haven't done the CR1 process (we did K1 fiance visa). For my husband's K1 interview all we had was my travel itinerary emails from visits, chat logs, and 4 photos. For the green card interview we had joint tax returns, 6 photos, a joint bank account, and joint insurance (the last 2 you wouldn't have anyway since you don't live in the same country). Got easily approved for both. Hope that helps!
thank you for your advice! yes, a tax return though it's MFS.. We don't have joint accounts yet as we only got married October last year 2014 then I went home after two weeks.. He doesn't send me money or anything yet as I never had the need to ask for money from him since I work and have savings of my own.
I really hope what I have is enough. I thought I can handle the pressure but as the date gets closer, I feel like I'm a child who just ate a ton of chocolates. My brain is currently on hyper mode.

Hi guys,
This question may sound a little dumb but I just registered here today. How do I post a question? Topic? etc etc?
Thanks!
Hi
Go to Forums (Upper Left), then click on the topic your question is related to, then Press the button Start New Topic found on the right (blue button)
Hope that helps.

thank you sir. I might do that too with my husband. That's a really good tip!
If you don't mind me asking sir, normally what questions did you and your wife practice?
Goodluck sir with your wife's interview! I hope to hear her experience!

Hi!
My interview is in a month, and I am worried as I have been reading several posts and threads regarding what people show to the Consuls..
Just a little background.
I am applying for a CR1 visa, our marriage was at a courthouse, no pictures were taken but a video. It was an informal one as we both were never the type to actual have our lives in front of a camera. Especially my husband who doesn't like pictures at all. If you were to look at his facebook, he has really limited number of pictures. What I did with the I-130 was take screenshots of the actual ceremony.
We aren't planning to have a church wedding, as much as how other women love to plan these things, I seriously am not one of them. Ever since I was young, I would even hide behind the tallest girls in class pictures (if I can). We are planning to have a reception where we can celebrate with family but that's when I go back to the US.
Last March, my husband visited me here in the Philippines and we didn't have a ton of pictures taken together, maybe I can count the pictures less than 20. It's with my family members, my dog, when we go out. That visit was mostly spent to bond with my immediate family.
What I do have a ton of are fb messages, skype logs (we talk on skype hours everyday), steam messages (app chat when you have a gaming account from valve as we both are gamers). Few screenshots of skype calls, he also stated on his latest tax filing that we are married.
To be honest, we eloped (technically not eloped as both of our parents knew, my parents were on facetime as it was happening and his parents were there) and kept it a secret to other people, though they already know now that I am back here in my country. (when I was in the US we decided to marry as we decided that we are in for the long run and want to start our life together as soon as we can) we were looking at K1 process before, but both of us agreed that CR1 would be the best route for us so he can visit me here while waiting and I can get my affairs in order and spend time with my family before I literally leave and might not come back in a few years.
Sorry for the long post, but it scares me that a lot of people/couples love taking pictures of them together and we don't fall under that category. :\ Just wanted to know if they base it a lot on that...
I just want to be with him soon.

hi I am very new to this and I'm quite confused, how do I find if my package is in the Embassy?
my case complete was March 30, 2015. My status on CEAC is ready.
-
I hope someone can confirm this And thanks again hank!
Thank you too sir hank! I'll try my luck and try to email USEM since they reply fast hopefully this can clear the issue..
The long line is somewhat traumatizing. Lol. I had to fall in line from 10am and finished at 7pm.. Hence the whole idea of doing it again is not something I'm looking forward to.

I have the same thing. I think i read that post too so i tried to called NBI last week and they said its the norm for married women. If it was single there wont be any Husbands last name on the paper.
The NBI clearance I have passed the NVC stage, but I found a thread that sir Hank (helpful vj member) says to use, Married Name, then for AKA/Other Names would be Your maiden name.
This is for embassy interviews as I've seen 1 or 2 people asked for an NBI clearance under our married names. :\
Another long day for me again :\
-
from reading USEM reviews, there were cases that they were required for a married name, will I be needing one again? or did the NBI clearance layout change?
It indicated there my husband's name and last name too. but at the top where it says family name I am still using my maiden name.
please tell me how to go about it thank you.

But do i get NOA2 when NVC receives it or when NVC is done evaluating it and ready to send to embassy?
Here's a link of the flow chart since you're K1: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow
I believe number 5 it states:
*Two weeks after you receive the NOA2 you can contact the NVC to see if they have received your approved I-129F. You can contact them at 603 334-0700.
When you get your case number from NVC, you can track the status on the ceac website: https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/
You will see if it's sent or received by your embassy.
But of course you can wait for other vj members who are k1 applicants maybe they have a better answer since they have more experience
-
Noa2 means the second notice of action.. USCIS sends it and it means your petition has been approved. Your first sent your I-129f to USCiS right I believe it is the same as a cr1 noa2.
-
Whole thread dedicated to it here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/543013-may-2015-interviews/page-26#entry7573177
Seems a lot of delays this month.
Chart they are keeping shows no interviews schedule for any embassy since late March
Noticed you're in the chart already....
i just got too excited after CC but yeah I do hope they can start scheduling again
-
lol its a little bit expensive for me to call NVC as often as you did. btw am the beneficiary and here in the Philippines. I'll ask my fiance to call again two days from now.
I use google voice on the pc/laptop and it's totally free.
-
does this apply to CR1 too? case complete March 30, and still waiting for an interview date.. when do we get our date NVC.. whennnnn...????
-
No one knows for sure. It can takes weeks or months. Just have to have patience at this point.
okay thank you! it just gets frustrating sometimes.
-
I really wish we can all have our interview dates soon
-
Hi Everyone, my case got completed March 30, but I still am awaiting for an interview date.. how long should I wait for the USEM to schedule an interview?
thank you.
-
10 momths ?!?

no, only my sister is the joint sponsor and she still has an income well over the poverty guidelines for a household of 3 (including me).
if there's no need to have her wife sign, my sister needs to send me her W-2's? or 1099?
how will she now fill up her total income for 2014 (part 13 on the AOS form) if it was filed jointly?
-
What you send to NVC has no relationship to what you bring to USEM for the interview, two separate processes, two separate sets of requirements. Link above to the embassy instructions letter for the immigrant visa is what you should follow for the embassy process.
copy that sir. I have informed my husband and my sister (co-sponsor/joint sponsor) that I have to submit a new set of AOS forms, however there is now and update to my sister's status and I don't know what to ask from her...
her last ITR which is 2013 indicated that she was filing as MFS but now for 2014 her and her wife has decided to file MFJ.. it was something I promised her, not to involve my sister-in-law with the AOS.. will the CO ask for an I864a from the wife?
-
Hmm it said on the link that Greenbaum post that
9. I-864 Affidavit of Support Form along with past 3 year U.S tax returns (or transcripts) and any other financial documents required.
That is my question exactly because were organizing papers that will be sent out for AOS / IV if we should make 2 copies of everything so i tried to ask NVC and USem here in manila they both said that i dont need to bring it because all forms that will be sent to NVC is going to be in the USem too, unless theres some changes on the documents?
Ty for that, it actually makes more sense if we only need it if an updated form is requested.. I might just do that and wait for the emails from NVC then.. Ty
