  1. :wow: That is nice! Last year when at NAIA my wife had to pay P200 at the Travel Tax counter before we could check in with the airline, we were in the Phils 3 months.

I guess they base it on the length of your stay? Not really sure, just guessing. I only stayed there for a little over 2 weeks

  2. UPDATE:

I did not need to pay Php 200 at all at NAIA, I just handed my passport and greencard at the travel tax section/area.. they just handed me a certificate.

I didn't really need to pay anything at the airport. :D

  3. Terminal fees are included in your airfare, there are NO booths anymore.

Yes you only need to pay the P200 exemption fee ... booth is at the front of the terminal

    Thank you!

  4. Where do you pay the exempt tax. Last time we were there 2 weeks and my wife was forced to pay the whole travel tax amount.

I called NAIA and if you have a green card and have stayed in the PH for less than a year, they will issue an certificate to exempt you. Did your wife have a green card at the time she left?

If so that would be something I need to prepare, that's a little silly if the airport is inconsistent..

  5. How long have your been in the Philippines. Only a couple weeks/months, then no. You will have to pay a P200 waiver fee for the travel tax, get this done before you check-in with the airlines. Your USC husband does not pay travel tax. Were you there under 6 months? Then no ECC fee either.

thank you! I only stayed here for 2 1/2 weeks. So I guess I only need to pay the 200 fee? What about the terminal fees at NAIA?

Thanks. The Honolulu Field Office is small, so hopefully it will get done sooner than later. We'll see!

Sorry OP...did not mean to "hi-jack" your thread!

    and no worries!

  6. Hi, I was wondering if we need to pay travel tax when leaving NAIA, we got our tickets from Asiana Airlines..

My husband is a US Citizen and I am a greencard holder.. I did pay travel tax last year but I don't remember if this time he needs to pay it as well.

and is there any other fees we need to prepare? Does the airport accept USD? I always pay in PHP and didn't really have dollars until I do a stopover.

thank you so much for the help!

  7. Hi!

I arrived here in the US July last year, and I am a holder of a conditional greencard.

My question is, we are visiting this October, and it's 20 days exact. I believe that it is still within the days a foreigner can stay in PH without having to get a visa?

Another question is, my sister went to PH last year, she wasn't aware of having to get a sticker, and her stay got extended as the immigrations didn't let her leave the country. But she had a work visa and not a green card.

My question is, do I need to do anything/attend something to be able to leave the philippines? Or is my CFO sticker on my passport is good enough? Immigrations won't stop me?

    thank you in advance!

  8. Hi,

so the first time I got my greencard, USCIS literally got my name wrong, for example, and this is not my real name, The name on the card should be:

    First Name: Ma. Theresa Sophia

    Middle Name: Perez

    Last Name: Van Gogh

    It appeared as:

    First Name: Ma

    Middle Name: T

    Last Name Van Gogh

On my part, it felt like they didn't take some time to actually make sure the card was correct, but I guess I was not an isolated case so I can't complain.. So I had it corrected. Took the biometrics again and filed the right paperwork.

I do have my ssn and It was only missing one letter because my name was too long and they do recognize I have my name correct in their files.

As time passed, the status for the replacing of my greencard was something like it was approved and the benefit or whatever will be mailed to me. That was the status.

I got tired of bringing my passport all the time so I decided to apply for a state ID. On that day, they denied my request to get one, the lady was nice enough to explain that my name on the USCIS system was still the wrongly spelled one so their computer wasn't letting them input the name on my passport, visa and ssn.

My concern is, as soon as I got home, the USCIS status for my greencard replacement changed to, green card is in production.

Now this worried me, since on the same day, PennDOT checked my name was still wrong on the Immigration database, and the production of my greencard start, will this mean THEY STILL HAVE NOT CORRECTED my name?

I called the USCIS hotline and the operator said she cannot check my info as she didn't have the authority to do so.

Does anyone have the same situation? Or has anyone had their greencard corrected for the nth time?

I am worried since I couldn't even get a state ID, i can't even get a driver's license until I have the greencard sorted out.

  9. Hello, I am a US citizen and I am in the process to file I-130 for my wife. What should I submit as proof of our bona fide marriage, we have been married for a month and we don't have any kids, bank accounts, nor joint property. What should I submit?

My wife applied for a visa twice and was denied would that affect the case or her interview at the embassy?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

when my husband filed for our I-130 we were only less than a month married.. so what we sent were, marriage certificate, some pictures during the ceremony, pictures of us together, boarding passes, plane tickets, fb, skype and other chat logs that showed constant communication and shows some long term plans.. doesn't need to be exactly showing long term plans but just to show that you two stayed in touch even apart.. 2 affidavits, one from my sister and one from his mom.. the main evidence really is the marriage certificate and the others are good supporting evidences.

    goodluck! :)

getting denied twice for a tourist visa won't affect her case because she probably was denied due to not having strong ties (just assuming you can correct me) so they are preventing tourists from trying to immigrate illegally. it is completely separate and won't affect at all. sorry I am bad at explaining. :D
