It's the perfect place for this conversation because this is a huge problem in the U.S. Exploiting immigrants through labor and taxes is not only a crime - not to mention welfare fraud - it's part of the moral decay of this country. This vile woman needs to be turned into U.S. Immigration, the Internal Revenue Service, the state tax agents, the state and federal departments of health and human services, the local and state licensing authorities, and the state board that regulates cosmetology licensing (or the state professional boards of registration, if you have one). You can take this woman down - and you should!
Immigrants need to be helped, not exploited. Message me and I'll tell you exactly how to right the wrongs. Keep the faith - she doesn't represent most of us. However, the problem is real and widespread. Send me a message.

    Hi,
Yeah i sent them an email and my paperwork is still at the mercy of NVC. I filed for a CR1, which now is a IR1 because of all the waiting. K1's can automatically schedule appointments. Unfortunately I can't, otherwise i screw myself over...(possible longer waits at the NVC). Thanks for the advice

    Hi everyone,

Quick update: I got a letter from my senator that stated that the NVC received my IV invoice in april. No other update about my DS260 which i turned in May 4th & put in supervisor review june 16th (supervisor review is pretty much BS)., i decided to call and talk to a supervisor and use that letter as leverage. I was able to get through to a supervisor and I got him to check my documents, and to clarify everything I asked himi If i had a case complete. He confirmed saying that I did and all i had to do is wait for an appointment date from the embassy. Thank krishna, buddha and the creator. I have a freaking case complete.

So our process is taking forever and like everyone else said, "Patience, patience, understanding and lots of creativity". So I would suggest that you need to ask her and yourself if both are willing to practice patience and what can be done to ease the tension of waiting. Really put everything out there, write down questions to ask her, have a great heart to heart on the phone or skype.
In the meantime I would say that you two should start projects together. Read a book out loud to each other, watch tv shows together or alone and discuss after watching. Watch your favorite youtube videos together, learn how to cook (have her send you a recipe, buy the food, have her read you the instructions, this way you can cook her some yummy food! Pick up new hobbies, hell even do yoga together. Also get out and get involved in activities or things you like to do, these experiences will be great & awesome topics to share in a skype conversation. A relationship is about sharing and enhancing eachothers lives. I hope your process is quicker then mine.
If the wait is unbearable you can always try to make a short "surprise" visit to show how much you love her.

    Hello Guys!
    How is everyone doing?
My husband and I have decided to spend an extended period of time together while we wait for this to clear. We might even choose to move elsewhere if my work permits, but we are looking into that.
ANYWAY!!! This seems rather quiet except for the hold I am in. I am curious as to how your cases are moving... let us know!

On Tuesday I got an email from USCIS:

On February 3, 2015, we sent your case, Receipt Number LINxxxxxxx, to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing.

Does this mean I will have a case number when I call NVC or will it still take more weeks? Did anyone else receive a similar notice?

Well, take it day by day. Im depressed. I been married for a year and were Guatemalan. I understand. Things are hard. Being away aint easy. Hopefully things will get better. I told my husband "If we get denied I am moving to guatemala in a flash and sell tacos on the street for life, just to be with you". And thats life. I am thankful to have someone waiting with me. I love that man.
