Hi guys! I did not get an email or a text but I checked my uscis account this morning and found my interview notice with today’s date on it!
    Applied: September 8th, 2020
Biometrics reuse letter: February 17th, 2021
    Interview letter: June 7th, 2021
    Interview: July 12th, 2021
I applied in NYC but moved to California on January 1st, 2021. Filed the address change and apparently it went through because they scheduled me in Los Angeles. Good luck to everybody!

Husband’s oath ceremony was yesterday morning. We are officially done with the immigration process!!!
We are gathering the documents to apply for his US passport now.

I have to say, I’ve been with visa journey since I first started the process to file for his visa to come here after our wedding nearly 6 years ago. This site has been so helpful that I never needed an attorney to get through this process.
Thank you visa journey and everyone on here.

I wish everyone in here a quick closure to your cases and a “happily ever after” for each of you.

Yes. I saw the status changed 13 days after the interview (24 of May) that the Oath ceremony letter was sent, and I checked the Dicuments section and saw that my Oath ceremony was scheduled for 15 of June. I didn’t get the physical letter it until yesterday (3 of June).

Hello everyone! Done my Oath Taking today.  15 months after my application last March 2020.
It was a long wait but worth it.  Good luck to all of you!

For what it's worth, I agree with NorthSouth. I expect that the website completion time estimate is of limited value.

That is correct. I got my Citizenship in 2017. I am following this topic for a friend who submitted his application in September 2020 (I think it was 9/18/2020).

Finally see some update.  Got text this morning that they have taken action.  Then, check the site and I have my interview scheduled on July.  However, on the estimated time completion it was changed from 7 mos to 14 mos.  Not accurate but nevertheless, I'm glad to finally see an interview date.

Seems like no action was taken. I connected with an immigration officer and they think it was triggered by some documents I uploaded. I have uploaded documents before too but never received that email for it.

I finally had my oath ceremony, so I'm a US citizen now. It was painless and very quick with all of the Covid-19 restrictions. So, so glad to be finally done, it feels kind of surreal. The N-400 process took around 8 months, which I know is "short" compared to some people's timelines.

    Hang in there everyone!

My husband passed his interview today!!!
He was asked 6 questions and then asked to read a sentence, write the answer, etc...same as everyone here has already mentioned.

I did send with him the latest copy of our auto loan statement, mortgage statement and tax. The officer did ask if he had any loan statements so husband showed the papers. The office just glanced over them and said ok. Officer also asked where my husband currently works so it could be updated in the file, along with the address.

My husband was making chit chat with the officer so it broke any tension between them.

The Officer said the Oath should be in about a month. He also mentioned husband would receive a letter in the mail that he will need to bring with him to the oath along with the paper that the officer gave him that says he was approved.

so happy this process is finally almost over. The oath part is the cherry on top!

good luck to everyone still waiting. Stay positive you’re time is coming!

(I should mention I had made my own flash cards with the civic questions so he used that to study. I would quiz him when we were in the car)

Yes, it was at 101 W Ida B Wells building.
Before I could ask about same day oath, I was told that my case is being referred to be recommended for approval. And once approved, I would be getting a letter about my oath ceremony date.

    Update:
Just came back from my interview today. The officer handling the interview was very friendly and talkative after we got into his office.
First thing he asked for was for my passport and green card. Then he took a photo and fingerprint to verify my identity. Then he asked me to verify my information (full name, date of birth, and weight). Asked me if I've travelled anywhere recently (I last travelled to Puerto Rico just before the start of the pandemic last year).

He looked at my files and talked about my application. He joked that I was using my wife's discount to apply for naturalization (3 years mark) so I didn't have wait for 5 years.
Then we proceeded with the civics questions:
When is the last day you can send in federal income tax forms? What stops one branch of government from becoming too powerful? Who signs bills to become laws? We elect a President for how many years? There were 13 original states. Name three When was the declaration of Independence adopted? He stopped after 6 since I answered all correctly and asked me to read the written question: Where is the "White House located". Next, he cleared the iPad and showed a blank screen with paper lines and asked me to write the answer to that question and he dictated "The White House is located in Washington, D.C." He didn't give the punctuations, but that's what I put down and he was very impressed.

Last, he asked all the yes/no qualification questions.

After that iPad screen showed my name, DOB, etc and if I wanted to change my name. I answered No and signed on the iPad.
The iPad cleared again and then it showed the Naturalization Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America and I signed on the iPad.
Last he did ask if I had any new documents that I wanted to update (he didn't ask for anything specific). I was prepared and gave him an updated tax transcript, updated bank account statement, beneficiary statement, and most recent utilities bills.

He explained that I had passed and gave me N-642 form that stated that I passed the civics test and "Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval". That I should be receiving a letter from USCIS within 30 days.

We got home and just as I was writing this update, I checked on USCIS site and it showed that my status was updated with "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled" notice and that I should expect the letter to be sent within 30 days.

    Almost there....

One final (hopefully) update on my wife’s naturalization process. We were notified yesterday that an action had been taken on her case and when we logged into her USCIS account, we saw a N-445 that her naturalization ceremony has been scheduled for June 16 in Grand Rapids, MI. So happy this process is finally coming to the end of the road!

    (1) submitted N-400 application online - 9/20/20 (with I-751 still pending)
    (2) notified that biometrics would be reused from I-751 application - 10/28/20
    (3) received notice in USCIS account that interview had been scheduled in Detroit - 3/8/21
    (4) had N-400 & I-751 combo interview in Detroit - 4/14/21 (both applications approved)*also received notice 2 days later in USCIS account that I-751 had been officially approved, but she would not receive a 10 year green card since her N-400 application had been approved and she had been placed in line for naturalization ceremony.
    (5) received notification that naturalization ceremony has been scheduled - 5/7/21
    (6) scheduled to have naturalization ceremony in Grand Rapids (with name change) - 6/16/21

Update - everything went well and my husband is now a US citizen!

His appointment was for 10:10 AM at the Lawrence, MA office.  I dropped him off a few minutes before 10 and he went through security without any issues.  He waited until about 10:15 and then got called back.  The interview was super quick, and only lasted about 10 minutes!  He got the first 6 questions right on the test, so didn't have to do the last 4. The officer asked him a couple questions about his job, my job, and where we live.  Then he ran through all the questions confirming he's not committed any crimes, has never been arrested, etc.  He didn't ask to see any of the evidence we brought, just asked for my husband's green card.  No one ever even asked him for his appointment letter, not even security at the entrance to the building, which surprised me.

The IO told him that he had been approved and he could take the oath in a few minutes.  Then, USCIS had to throw us for one final loop - the printer they use to print the naturalization certificates was broken!  So they took him to another waiting room for like ~40 minutes while they tried to fix it.  He said it felt like something out of a sitcom, a room full of people who have taken off from work and driven hours out of their way for a 10 minute interview just to be foiled by a broken printer, and the backlog of waiting people is getting larger and larger and more and more staffers are crowding around this broken printer trying to figure out what's wrong.  Eventually they fixed it and he took the oath and was outside at about 11:30.  So if you were at the Lawrence office today and things were running about an hour behind, that's why 😛

Now we're home celebrating being done with USCIS forever - feels good!
