Nakai & Vic got a reaction from C-ma'am in HELP!!! My wife's friend being treated like a SLAVE!!!
If he is always around when she is on the phone, how is she able to relay all this horrible information too your wife? I think maybe your wife should spend less time on the phone talking about a lot of nothing with this lady and more time with her own situation. You guys really dont know what is going on in this couples relationship so maybe you should not get involved, this situation sounds fishy and you dont want her spewing all that mess to your wife. Misery loves company.

How do you know he treated her bad, because thats what she said? How about she is just trying to do what a lot do and that is to get a green card, how do you know she didnt use the first guy just to get here and now she is hooking up with this guy cause the first guy found out about her plans and cut her off? This happened to my brother, and by the time he got her here on the K1 she had already found some one with a little more money so when she got here she told him she changed her mind and that she met someone else. Then should tried to pull that VAWA mess on him so she could stay.

Within 2 months of arriving your husband divorced you due to infidelity, you have little evidence to show your marriage was entered into in good faith, your husband has evidence to show the marriage was a fraud, you did not file for removal of conditions, you have new man with whom you want to get married before the expiration of your GC for reasons of maintaining the GC only (your words), you have not kept abreast of immigration laws, you think your husband's sponsorship is going to extend to this 2nd marriage which would supposedly take place "just in the nick of time", and you believe you are not out-of-status.
I think you and your new man will have a better start by the both of you moving to Thailand. No GC needed there!

Im sorry but this is not her brother... Her brother would not mess up his sister and nephews chances with her husband for his own gain, this is her man. Be very careful OP with these people you obviously have no ideal of whom you are dealing with. Get these people out of your home as soon as possible, I am with dhweels "do not allow yourself to be threatened in your home" also be sure she does not have your personal info i.e. social security number, or bank info.

Good point. Yes the May expansion is massive. Hopefully FBI and USCIS can resolve the background check bottlenecks as well before then.
The May program is where the parents who gave birth here are forgiven whatever their age. If you snuck in illegally and then had a child in last 5 years and maintained continuous residence, then you are forgiven. Affidavits may be used in lieu of evidence of continuous presence so there may be some people trying to manipulate the program.
Of course, DACA form seems to be missing all those I-485 questions about the past including public funds and there is no I-864 equivalent where they need a relative to Joint Sponsor surety.
DACA #2 and now #3 May will mean a massive new influx of border crossing who will wait in anticipated of DACA #4. Now everyone knows that we just have a 5 year cat and mouse game after which you are forgiven. 2 mean 3. 3 mean 4. You can google for some LE opinions on this. The effect is anticipated and they will be increasing presence to try to offset.
Looks like this thread is banished to the General immigration basement to avoid it being read. Just like all the other threads that question DACA effect on legal immigration benefits.

@hiswifey08 I understand that you may genuinely think you are helping us by letting us know how quickly your application was processed. However, I must aware you of the situation regarding expedited petitions for petitions in which the Beneficiary's country is the Philipines.

All of these petitions are expedited, due to a relief measure enacted by USCIS after the Typhoons. These applications take days to weeks to approved. However, if you are a non-filipino waiting at Texas Service Center (who services the entire east coast of the USA), you are looking at a wait of 5.5-7 months minimum.
It is safe to say this is incredibly frustrating for all of us facing (or having gone through) this incredibly daunting and seemingly unnecessary long wait time.
We do not mean to come across as brash, rude, or impolite, but if you could imagine what it feels like to be in our shoes. Sat here watching others get to be with their honey's SO much sooner than us, you can begin to understand the pain and frustration we experience every single day.

    ---------------------------------------------------
"Filipino nationals in the United States should visit www.uscis.gov to learn about a series of existing relief measures that may be available to them if requested. These relief measures include:
A change or extension of nonimmigrant status for an individual currently in the United States, even when the request is filed after the authorized period of admission has expired; An extension of certain grants of parole made by USCIS; An extension of certain grants of advance parole, and expedited processing of advance parole requests; Expedited adjudication and approval, where possible, of requests for off-campus employment authorization for F-1 students experiencing severe economic hardship; Expedited processing of immigrant petitions for immediate relatives of U.S. citizens; [ (spousal and fiance visas fall here! ] Expedited adjudication of employment authorization applications, where appropriate; and Assistance to LPRs stranded overseas without immigration or travel documents, such as Permanent Resident Cards (Green Cards). USCIS and the Department of State will coordinate on these matters when the LPR is stranded in a place that has no local USCIS office." source: http://www.uscis.gov/news/uscis-extends-relief-measures-filipino-typhoon-victims

Op you and this kind of foolishness is the reason why Nigerians have such a hard time when they are in fact legit. Do you really think that people are so blind not to see right through your plan from the beginning? What you have done is fraud and you will be in a lot of trouble if this is found out. They scrutinized Nigerians and others from high fraud countries very carefully. Meeting someone on facebook and applying for a student visa in order to get around going through the process the correct way will not work. Your fiance needs to return to Nigeria if he is in fact not going to school and follow the process legally. If he in fact remains here illegally, then what, he can not work and will always have to look over his shoulder what kind of life is that????

As a US Citizen the government needs to be more transparent with the process. If "no visas are available" for single women, poor people, etc they need to say it rather than have people pay the $160 fee to apply knowing they have no chance of getting approved.
People who fall into "rejectable" status based on their application should be rejected right away before they even pay the fee and waste their time and money.

So I called TSC today which is my first call in months, and the lady tells me at least another 2 months to hear anything about our case, well I filed June 30th 2014 and got my NOA1 first week of July 2014. I ask her to transfer me to a Tier 2 and she ask me what did I need to ask them? I said I want to be transfferd to a tier 2 please to ask what is going on with my case. She proceeds to tell me that they will only give me the same information that she gave me, I said fine let them give me that please transfer me. What the heck is going on, now they are the gate keepers??????
I get that this is a long process but can you be honest with me about it don't piss on me and tell me its raining!!!! She says that TSC is a little behind and that they are just processing apps from May 6th what the hell correct me if I'm wrong weren't they doing those back in October 2014? All I am saying is this give people straight answers! i am contacting my State Rep in the morning, this is ridiculous!

I for one agree, if everyone continues to just sit back and take the process the way it is, nothing will ever change. We are over 5 months and still waiting, I just returned from a month visit and still have yet to hear anything from USCIS. I would have stayed longer but was only allowed 30 days at a time on a tourist visa. Unlike most I have the ability to make frequent trips but I would love for my fiance to be able to visit me here while we wait out this long process. They should at least issue a tourist visa while we wait on the process, just my opinion. The process is broken and needs to be fixed. I've seen people waiting over a year to be reunited and in my opinion that's unacceptable. I think signing a petition is at least a step in the right direction. You cant complain if you don't make an effort to do something about it.

I personally don't think anyone applications should be placed over another for any reason. I think all applications should be processed in the order they are received, period. I understand that some countries have had some issues and people may or may not being living on the streets, thats an issue in every country for one reason or another. I still think that no application should be processed any faster.
