It makes sense that they need to see the original but I just wouldn't send it. I can't wait on updating my SS card until it's possible going into the office in person again.

Today I became an American Citizen ❤ The journey hasn't been easy and it has been filled with plenty of USCIS mistakes and delays, im thankful to now be done with all of it. No more deadlines to meet. Good luck to everybody here! 

I had my Citizenship interview today 11/12/2020 and I was approved!! 😁😁 Unfortunately the oath ceremony had to be scheduled for another day due to their computer system being down. I'm just relieved to have it over and done with. Oath ceremony is scheduled for November 19 ❤

I wouldn't send my original naturalization certificate 😳

You need to bring the original marriage certificate and his original birth certificate. Also with either of you have been married previously, you'll need to bring originals of those divorce papers as well. 

I have my interview coming up as well - I will bring originals along with a full copy of the packet I submitted. Good luck!

When was this? Because it's basically stating in the letter that due to COVID only translators and attorneys are allowed to come with

I forgot to update in here - I received a letter from the USCIS about 2 weeks ago - My Citizenship interview is scheduled for November 12 😊

I was wondering if owning a firearm - of course legally - would affect me being considered for citizenship?

Does anybody have any experience or knowledge on this? 

I'm currently awaiting my citizenship interview in the state of NJ but of course it has been slowed down due to everything going on.

It was changed from May to June after my biometrics 😩

1 week since my Biometrics appointment now. Case is still being reviewed, no new update. I always get impatient after the biometrics lol I want my interview to be scheduled too 😡😂

My case status was changed to "We reviewed your biometrics" and estimated processing time has been changed to June 2020 🙄

Yea sorry, that's what I meant lol it would probably stress me out more if he was in the room with me 😂😂😂 but if he can stay in the waiting room I'll definitely bring him

Just had my biometrics appointment this morning. Excited to see when I'll be scheduled for my interview Estimated processing time is as of right now May 2020 so we'll see!

Then you should receive yours soon enough! Did you provide them with your email and such for the USCIS account? That's how I'm getting my updates

Well, I sent it out on 12/20 and per their logs they received the application on 12/23. So it took about 11 days? I guess it would depend on how you sent the application to USCIS.

Just received NOA1 in the mail today. Official notice day is 12/27/2019. Now I'm just waiting on my Biometrics letter

I wanted to add for the spreadsheet that I applied via paper application and I applied under the 3 year rule. My field office is Mount Laurel, NJ.

My Biometrics appointment has been scheduled for 01/17/2020. Estimated processing time for my application is May 2020.

Still awaiting NOA1 in the mail. This is all information from USCIS account
