I would ... it is very annoying for sure.    I would follow up with a phone call and get them to confirm the address they have on record.    I think the problem is, the department that handles the processing of the GC isn't being updated with your address.

As already stated the visa expired upon entry.  There is an I-551 stamp in your wife's  passport, this is a green card stamp valid for 1 year.

As for your green card it is obvious that USCIS has not been sending your GC to your current address

You should be able to call them and ask about the status of the card.

You do not need to request the SS card it was requested already through USCIS after your wife entered the USA.    It may have been sent to the wrong address as well ... contact SSA.

My wife finally made it to the USA on 9/8/17.  Thanks to everyone that assisted us in making it through this long arduous process.  Thankful that it's over and that we get to begin our lives together!!

I do have a couple questions that maybe someone can answer.

I recently had a change in residence.  All of our paperwork has my old address.  What do I need to do to change the address?  Will the green card come automatically to my old address?  What next?

Thanks a million for your continued support guys!

    Have an awesome day,

Very important to make sure you have the CFO Seminar sticker in the Philippine passport.  Your wife will not be allowed to travel to the U.S. without proof of attending the seminar. You can purchase the flight but Philippine authorities will not allow her to travel without proof of attending the seminar.  What is a real pain in the butt is having to register for the seminar online and trying to find an available date.  Last year you had to sign up at least four months in advance for this mandatory class.  This caused me to cancel flight arrangements and lose money over a sticker.

Your best shot is try and have the expired passport sent via 2go. They are pretty reliable. Again, I am not sure it is required but baring a wait to answer a 221(g) you don't have a lot of choices at this time. As far as the CEMAR is concerned go to the MAIN HQ for PSA and requesting the document can be the best thing as they are a little quicker than their satellite locations. It sounds like you guys are not losing anytime thinking about this and getting into action. I commend you for your fortitude. Don't lose hope.

Do follow the embassy instructions letter for what is required, along with the email you received from the embassy.

The embassy refers to the CENOMAR as that is what you apply for at PSA (was NSO), if married they will issue the Advisory of Marriage /  CEMAR.

Don't know if copies of the expired passport will make the embassy happy.  Can the expired one be acquired?

Q1. She applies for a CENOMAR and she will receive a CEMAR since she is married now.
Q2. Copies of pages are fine as well as not having the expired passport.

You'll get a 221(g) after the interview for missing documents. Once submitted they will issue the visa baring any major problems.

    Good luck

Here is a link for you   http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/immigrant-visa-application.html   There is a link to the embassy instructions letter here, use this for your checklist for the interview.

Also you will need the medical at SLEC, there is a link to there under the USEM tab at the top.

And if your wife has not completed CFO there is a link under the USEM tab also.

    Hope this helps.

St. Luke's Medical Center Extension Clinic (SLEC), the Embassy's accredited panel physician, will begin charging a new medical examination fee of Php 16,042.50 for most immigrant visa applicants effective October 1, 2016. The medical fee increase is based on mandatory gonorrhea testing for all immigrant visa applicants 15 years of age and older as instructed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Please bear with me if this info is buried elsewhere on this site. My fiancee was late getting her passport due to missing voter registration ID, and she just picked up her passport Friday afternoon, completed her D-160 online and went to the bank to pay for the visa application.
My question is this: what is the current fee for the medical exam at St. Luke's? I have looked many places online and come up with figures from $245 to as high as $330. I don't want her to be short handed in cash when it's time for her exam.
      Help? Anyone from the Philippines?

For the Philippines after case completes it takes about a week for the file to reach the embassy in Manila. You will receive an email giving you a go signal to call and schedule for an interview.
Make sure your wife gets her medical done at SLEC at least a week before the interview date. If all goes well, pay your immigrant fee online and the visa will be shipped to her house
in less than 5 days after the interview. All Filipino moving overseas are required to do a seminar at CFO and you need to get stamped/sticker on her passport AFTER getting the CR-1 visa, the immigration
officer in the Philippines would be looking at it before allowing her to leave the country.

    To sum up:
    1) Wait for the email from Manila Embassy
    2) Schedule an interview
    3) Get her medical at St Luke Extension clinic (SLEC)
    4) Bring the result to the interview along with all your paperwork
    5) Upon approval, pay the immigrant fee online and wait for the visa
    6) Go to CFO for the one day seminar and stamp
    7) POE
Estimated time, I would say 3 weeks to complete everything if not less.

I can speak for our case only.  We received "case complete" email on April 10, 2017.  5 days later, we received an email from our consulate (Taipei) with an interview date of May 2, 2017.  Since my wife's medical exam results wouldn't be ready until a day after the scheduled interview date, I contacted the consualte.  They then gave us a new interview date of May 8th...........All things considered, it was pretty fast.

BTW, my wife arrives in USA later THIS AFTERNOON!!!!!

I think you mean June 29, 2016 for your priority date but it matters not for CR-1 anyway.

Once your case is conplete at the NVC it is forwarded to the overseas embassy and the beneficiary is given an interview date and must arrange the medical exam. How long you have to wait for an interview depends on how busy the local embassy is. Typically it is around 6 weeks but some have to wait several months (UAE is one example and I think India and possibly Jamaica have longer waits too).

I have to say after I had case complete in October last year everything went very fast - case complete was October 20, interview was December 6 and I moved here on December 19. And it went fast with so much to do - packing, finishing work, saying goodbye to friends and family. It flew by. So she will be home with you before you know what's what.

Toby and Quennie reacted to kcrb in How long was YOUR case at NVC?
My case was at the NVC for 11 weeks. Just got case closed on March 1st.

    Scan date was 12/9/16
    Supervisor review was 1/27/17
    Case Closed 3/1/17
    Interview 4/27/17

Keep calling them for updates. After the initial 60 days they will forward the case to a supervisor and it will be completed within 6 more weeks. The NVC is extremely backlogged at the moment.
