Congrats on the visa!!!

ON #11 of the I-134 it asks if I intend to or not intend to support my husband.
How should I answer this, I seen on the example form the way they answered was N/A (K-1 visa process for permanent resident).
Should I answer the same only changing it to K-3? Its very crazy because as my husband I would deffinitley support him. I mean come on, however I dont wanna answer it in a way that would jeopardize our outcome.
Anyone? Thanks in advance.
Sherry
Oh and also, my co sponsor has really bad writing, is it ok for me to fill the form out and have them sign it? it does have a place at the bottom that says to sign if filled out by someone else, but wasnt sure if it would be ok for the petitioner to be the one filling it out. Thanks all

Too funny

Thanks Mrs Whizz and the same to you. I agree, I dont wanna waste the money and have to turn around to do AOS, it would be much easier to just allow us to transfer to a local office. Hope things go well for you Mrs. Whizz

Congrats on the interview!!

Thanks Marsha, we will ring them as soon as he gets here! Thanks Rob, but my K-3 is already at the embassy and it looks like it may me about 2 months before the I-130 gets there. We sent packet # back today and scheduled the medical for thursday so hopefully they will send packet 4 for an interview soon. I have heard that Dublin is one of the faster embassy's to get an interview with so with any luck we wont have to wait too long. Thanks again for the help.

Colleen, dont feel guilty not one bit. We did the court house wedding and are planning on having our marriage blessed in the church when Niall comes home. We dressed nice but not overly dressed and then went to dinner. I looked at it this way, I still took my vows in front of GOD and he knows we meant them!
Do what feels right for you!

Thanks Buttons! It just seems so crazy to have to travel all the way back when all the papers are here in the states. Ah well guess we cant have our cake and eat it too! Thanks again

I am so sorry Tracy! Everytime I see another approval I get all excited hoping that it is yours, I understand how you feel, I know its hard being seperated and that this all looks hopeless, just know that your friends are here to support you and if you need anything at all feel free to pm me or email me! I am praying for you every day and wishing you and Luis back together soon! Chin up hon, it will happen soon, and as I said before, keep calling USCIS, call them till they are sick of you, call them till they personally walk your petition (approved ofcourse) to NVC themselves! Whatever it takes! As I said before and I think that others will agree, we are here for you!
Always

We have filed our I-130 and our K-3, both have been approved and obviously the K-3 is moving faster. We noticed alot of people go back for the I-130 interviews, my question is, since he would already be here is there some way that we could get our I-130 transfered to our local office and do an interview here? Wouldnt it be the same as an AOS? We would have already paid all the fees etc. If not , can some of you who have been thru this process give your experiences? Thanks in advance, and best of luck to all going thru the journey.

Tracy have you rang the USCIS office that is processing your case? At this stage I would keep ringing them, ask to speak to an officer, what ever it takes. Good luck, I am praying for you....(((((HUGS))))))

Rob, as Aussie has more experience her advice is very sound, someone told me the same thing about the I-134, however I rang the embassy in Dublin and they said that they would accept a joint sponsor. I would ring the embassy and explain the situation, they may work with you or accept the JS. Good Luck!

Hi all, we got packet 3 in the mail and just had a few quick questions.......First, there are 2 I-156 forms, does Niall fill them both out or is one intended for me, and second on the form it asks if he has ever violated a visa or been removed etc. He did overstay his VW but not more than 180 days. Do we check yes as it was a violation? He wasnt removed he left on his own accord. We just dont want to make a mistake and tick the wrong box. We are going to explain the situation to the consular officer. Thanks in advance.
Oh yeah also we have our medical for this thursday, Niall is gonna post back our packet this afternoon and hopefully we will hear about an interview soon!!!!! Yay!!! I am soooo excited that things are moving along!
Hope everyone is well!

Awwww thanks Collen, I appreciate it! I looked as all over and didnt see anything myself. I assumed I just couldnt find it or I overlooked it.
Niall's B-day is the 18th. I would love to have him back then, I told him if he got the visa at or around then he should at least stay to celebrate with his family as it may be months till we can get back over. We can always have our own when he comes home. I do have a bottle of champagne for us (his mom bought it for us when we got married)!
As far as lost with out you, I soooo know where your coming from... I have done almost everything as far as this process has gone, but thats in part coz I like to take charge and it keeps me busy, Niall has been working his behind off trying to save so we will be comfortable until his work authorization comes thru. So its been a 50/50 deal. I cant complain, hes been so great, I am completely impatient and he has kept me sane.
Thanks again Collen, I'll keep you updated!

Hmmmmmm.....I got the analogy and its one I have even thought of to myself, so I can totally see where your coming from Uling. However, given the past 5 years I can understand why our country has to scrutinize all applicants......Its just sad that it has to be this way.
Completely sympathizing with you Shonie......I am anxious for you myslef. Hope the day comes soon that you post on here that your hubby is coming home soon!

So I-864 is used for Cr-1/Ir-1 while I-134 is used for K-3?

That seems to be the info I was given, also check with the embassy about the I-134. I have seen some ppl say that certain embassies do not allow a joint sponsor for the K-3. They will let you know for sure if you ring them and ask. Good Luck!!
