  1. That is just gross....What an eejit. Since it seems to help with stress and post partum depression, I wonder if he offered some to Brooke Sheilds, after all she was just don the hall having her own child, and what a slap in the face to Tom, to want a nice peaceful birthing experience for Katie(moron) and have to be just feet from the same woman he insulted publicly. There is justice after all!

  2. Hi,

My Fiance (US Citizen) and I (Canadian Citizen here on TN VISA) are getting married next month in Wisconsin. We plan on starting the K-3 Process immediately after and would like to know where to start. Is the K-3 Guide accurate? Is this EVERYTHING required in the I-130 package? When can I file for an I-765 (Application For Employment Authorization)? I will need to continue working while in the US.

Also, my two sons are in my custody. What type of application will my fiance (soon to be wife!) have to make for them to become Permanent Residents? Do we have to do the I-130 for each of them also?

Thanks again... ANY and ALL input would be appreciated!

I wouldnt know very much about your particular situation, but I think I would ring the USCIS and or visit thier website, I have found the site helpful in finding which forms to file and when, then of course you will meet all sorts of lovely people on here willing to help! You have started in the right direction, good luck on your journey!

  3. What a situation! First I sympathize with all who are going thru this process, you included....wait your not going thru this, your looking for the easy way out. There is no easy way out. He has a SS card but from somebody that doesnt exist? Hmmm that doesnt seem right. I'm sure he would miss his kids, just as my daughter misses her father, just as I miss the children we should be having right now but cant because we are apart! There are so many people here that are trying to make a life for themselves, juggling two households and such , oh yeah and we are doing it all the while being seperated from our spouses, no one said it would be easy, but we are doing it. Face the music, the longer you wait the harder it will be and the consequences may be worse. Sorry but just as I would say to anyone else looking for a shortcut----BACK OF THE LINE PAL.

  4. Ok once you bring them home and get you know what out of your system what do you first plan on doing with them? I think if he gets here by summer time i will take him around town and go to the store get some chicken, fruit and drinks and go out to the wilderness and do some serious fishing. What about you guys?

Hopefully t wont be too much longer before we are together again! Then maybe some serious R&R after all this paperwork  Lots of family time! ;)

  5. it was a lawyer who work at a law firm, just an average everyday lawyer, i guess

i already have a account online and everything. and yes u can schedule an appointment online with a customer service rep

I would say to wait the 60 days especially if you have copies of any and all documents you have previously sent informing them of the mistake, emails etc. When they get to your case and notify you then you can show them again the mistake as well as documentation that you tried to correct the error. If you are able to schedule an appointment with your local office then that may be an avenue you might want to persue as well, tho I am not sure how much good it would do. Good luck and I hope things work out for you.

  6. The I-130 is filed before the I-129F, if that is what you are asking. There is very little to file initially with the I-130. Did you have a look in the Guides at the top of the page to make sure you filed everything that is required? If not they will send you an RFE for whatever is missing. Are you sticking with the I-130 on its own for the CR-1 visa or are you also going to be filing the I-129F for the K-3?

No actually that wasnt what I was asking, that much I was able to get right...ha ha. But someone had told me that because myhusband had overstayed his visa (5 months) That we would be rejected and directed to file more paperwork that would lift a ban on him before refiling. Thanks for the help Aussiewench :)

  7. We filed our I-130 and are going to send our K-3 this week, but after having a conversation with someone about our situation I am under the impression that we are now doing this wrong. Heres the situation... My husband came to the states on a visa waver, we were told that after we got married he could stay as long as we were filing for his residency, due to some extreme hardships(financially) and such we were unable to file straight away, during this time my husband had overstayed his visa. We had talked with a customer service rep at USCIS and she told us that he should have to leave the country because he was over his visa and we hadnt filed...blah blah blah. Shortly there after we found out he didnt have to actually leave. Now we are living apart and filing the forms we were directed to file, my question is, did I file the proper form when I filed the I-130. I am now under the impression that we will have alot ore paperwork and that I filed the wrong one first. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. :help:

Praying every day that we get thru this mess and missing my husband more than ever. (L)

  8. Hi sowens, I too am in the same place, having sent the I-130 at the end of March and gotten the first NOA. I'm now assembling the I-129F and waiting for my husband in Toronto to sign and date his G325a bios. It's a bit overwhelming, but if you've already done the I-130, the next round is fairly similar and less stressful. So just do the paperwork and stay calm, because it will be awhile before he can join you.

My question to more experienced people is this: where's the information on what my husband (and sowen's) will need for the U.S. Consolate interview? How can we prepare in advance, especially if he never had vaccinations except for travel? He was born in the Azores Islands and kids were not routinely vaccinated there. What about health and police records? Many thanks.

Hi jersey girl, thanks, we will be sending off our I-129f, my husband sent his G325a's in the post and I am currently waiting on them, as soon as I get them its round 2 for us. I know its gonna be some time, I'm just very impatient, LOL. Anyways, I have found alot of useful inof on the guides tab on this page, and yer wan was right about the embassy websites, you can find some info there. Since we are at the same stage in this process good luck to you and your husband! :D

  9. Congratulations on starting your journey! Now that you have the NOA1 you can submit the I-129F.

Thanks Meddy and Desperate, I appreciate the help, also on the bottom of the form it says that additional info needs to be sent to Cali service center, are they changing my service location?

I-130's sent to Nebraska & Texas are forwarded to California to be processed!!......as only Vermont & California are now the only 2 service centers that process the I-130

I wasnt sure about that, thanks again for all your help!

  10. We got our NOA for our I-130. The form says recieved 4-3-06 and notice date is 4-5-06. So my question is now can I file for the I-129f? And if and when that is approved whats the next step? Will my husband be able to join me here in the States? So many questions, my appologies, I just dont want to mess anything up! Thank you to those who have been responding to my questions and thanks in advance to those who respond to this one.

  11. Am I doing things properly? When my husband and I got married we were told all the proper forms to fill out, and then were told that we didnt need so many forms, that all we needed to do was to file the I-130 and once it was accepted we could file the K-3. I know its alot to ask, but we just want to be together and the fastest possible route is the one we wanna take. Being new to this I am just curious if we have filed properly.

I sent the I-130 and am waiting on the NOA so i can file the K-3. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to VJ , follow these steps on the link below and good luck on your journey.

Thanks alot, it really helps to be able to talk to someone who is going thru the same stuff we are and that can show you what you need to have. Did it seem to take very long? We are goping to be together soon, but were not sure what kind of time frame this may take, some people seem to get things done alot faster.
