Becca, I understand completely how frustrated this makes you, however, as most said here the snail mail wont hold it up too much, I sent ours regular post and havent heard any updates and then got a second RFE, I rang USCIS and they told me to send the second one back anyways else it may look like we abandoned the petition. They did recieve our first RFE but have still yet to update it, but the officer on the phone did confirm reciept even tho its not updated, so if you have any doubts , try to ring them. Its a long hard journey, I myslef have trouble being patient. Good luck and a speedy journey to you hon. HUGS

Hi everyone, we just recieved our email saying we were approved and that the case was going to the NVC. Can anyone tell me about how long our case will be at the NVC before it is forwarded to Dublin? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you Simple, I have been trying to be as patient as I can, and hopefully I have done well enough at it.LOL Is the NVC process very long? Will the keep our file for a long time before they send it to the Dublin embassy? I have been trying to search timelines to find out, but no luck. Thank you again!

Hi everyone, I usually post on K-3 forum but since it was our I-130 that was approved I assumed this would be the appropriate forum. I am so happy at the moment I am in tears. I have rang my husband and mum in law to let them know the good news. They sent the email today but it was approved yesterday, I thought to have done pretty well up until now, but I have to admit I have had a ton of help from everyone here on VJ, I want to thank you all sooooo much for the help! Oh and dont worry , I will have tons of questions to come, such as how much longer till the interview, what other forms will we be needing any other steps I should be taking, etc. I am sooo on cloud nine right now, but my fingers wont come un-crossed as I am still hoping and praying for all my fellow VJ's. Thanks again everyone. HUGS

Khattak, I am in the same boat as you, I got my first RFE on the 3rd of July and sent it right back, no email or update on the website that they recieved it, however I got my second RFE on the 15th and I rang the USCIS yesterday, they told me that they had recieved my first RFE and posted it to our app. The second one was sent yesterday. We will just have to be patient and hope they get moving soon. Good luck!

Very true, I knew she couldnt help and I wasnt really expecting any help, just a bit of politeness from her I guess. Maybe that was a bit too much to ask, I am sure they are getting tons of calls from people that are very aggravated. Bottom line is, there isnt anything we can do but wait it out. Hopefully everyone will get some good news soon.
Sowens,
I had nearly the same conversation yesterday with NBC. I was flat out told by the rep that "she could only tell me what they put on the computer screen." When I spoke with her supervisor, I got the same response. They informed me that they had 6 months to process my application. I asked why we were told 60-90 days on their website and on the forms I have received? She said she could give me no other information and nearly hung up on me after telling me not to call back until September. I kept my cool, but I did call my congressman's office to complain. I have already signed a form to allow the congressman's office to get involved. When I talked to the immigration specialist there, he was very nice and very apologetic. He also has the sound of disgust in his voice when I told him about the "answers" and treatment I had received. He actually said, "We've been trying to get these call centers to be more informative and trying to streamline things. I'm sorry, but it's obviously not working." At that point, he said to give him a few more days and he would do some investigating. I may be grasping at straws...but.....
Hang in there!
Good luck Mrs. Whizz. I guess my point to this whole rant is that she could have at least been a little nice....maybe I should have been more clear in her tone when I first posted. Considering all that we go thru I think a bit of decency isnt too much to ask. I am sure they are aware of how stressful this can be. Good luck again at getting some progress Mrs. Whizz. let me know what your congressman says.

It wasnt the fact that she said sorry, if she had said that she was sorry in a nice way and that that she wished she could help or someting of that nature, then i wouldnt have such animosity for her, it was the snide way she said it, like a sorry but the timelines no longer count, deal with it attitude. I am not the type of person that would just get angry at someone for telling me something I didnt wanna hear, but she was just so rude in her way of saying it.
As far as the time difference in our filing, our plan was not to live in the US, we had originaly decided to live in my husbands country but due to certain circumstances we were forced to stay and that is why we hadnt filed until recently.

OK so I have no patience, I have already established that in my rants, but dayum, I havent recieved anything stating that USCIS had recieved my RFE and I sent it back on the 5th, so I rang USCIS to find out any info I could, coz they had sent me like many others here a second RFE. The rep told me she didnt understand why I was sent another identical form and asked me to hold for an officer.....again on hold for another half hour the officer came on and finally told me that my RFE was recieved on the 13th. I still have yet to recieve confirmation(email or updated touch) but thats life. She told me she didnt know why I got a second one but to fill it out and send it back anyways else it may look as if I have abandonded the case. Then she proceeded to tell me how sorry she was that it was taking so long and that with all the IMBRA ####### the timeline of 60-90 days no longer applies, that they will approve it as soon as they can......#######? I sooo wanted to use Mr. Deans word at her....she was a complete and utter first class chop##@*.
Hopefully this will all start moving soon.....we will have to keep fingers crossed and praying extra hard. Good luck to everyone.

It seems like it's taking forever. And I think timesnap is right, they have been at March 5th for a very long time and it doesnt seem to be speeding up anytime soon. Good luck!

Congrats and good luck at the interview!!!

OK so now I am completely confused. So many people have stated that they sent thier RFE's back and are waiting to hears from thier prosepctive service centers, CSC,VSC,etc. Yet on my RFE it clearly stated to send it back to Lee's Summit Mo. So thats where I sent it, was I wrong in doing that? Should I have sent it somewhere else? I still havent recieved anything indicating that they recieved it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
