  1. Well I assume we'll be cheering for the same team come June - I just posted the World Cup tv schedule

It seems so, the only team I would pull for is out of it now, and even tho I am not a Spurs fan I do like Robinson, what a keeper!

  2. Someone mentioned a chocolate dish from Brazil I think in a earlier post, it sounded very nice, was it you Lisz? If so would you mind elaborating. I love to cook and I'm always looking for something new to try.

Nice...Thanks for this list of times!

  4. I suggest that crowing as much as possible would be fun

Not a good Idea with my husband, tho I sooooooo wanted to, he gave me such a rough way to go all season , and I fell like I finally showed him, but I wouldnt crow coz it would cause an arguement and well I love him to d@mn much to argue. I just want to do a happy dance tho :dance::dance:

Heh, true, there's no point in getting into a serious argument over football. I have the opposite problem - my wife couldn't care less. I wanted to dance around gleefully when we won the Scottish title and the Huns didn't even finish second, but it would be a waste of time :)

It truely was a great season for Celtic

  5. Never been to CDG, but I have flown Delta......I will never use Delta again....as far as CDG, well I am kinda wierd I guess I love airports....going to differnt ones and comparing, I just love to visit new places and fly, so I would try it once, but as so many people have said so many negative comments I would also tend to head thier advice.

  7. What a day, my fave team wins today with our leading striker Henry pulling off a hat trick for the win. This ensures our place in the champions league next year as it placed Arsenal 4th over Spurs, heres the problem, 10 Spurs players came down with food poisoning last night which very well may have cost them the game today. (if they would have won they would be fourth and given the garaunteed spot in the champions league) My Husband is a huge Spurs fan and as such he absolutely hates Arsenal, literally with a passion. I wanna be happy for my team but yet I feel bad for my husbands team (he doesnt believe its genuine) I fell like a traitor for feeling bad for his team as it wasnt thier fault and I cant quite enjoy our victory.....RRRRRRRR this is driving me mad. Just needed a good rant sorry to all those who dont like the sport.

  8. We had a civil cremony since it was a bit short notice , but when my hubby gets back we will have a church ceremony and invite our friends and family, my plan is to, instead of having a guest book attendant hand people a pen to sign a book that will be put away, we are gonna have someone take polaroids of the guests and then have the guests write thier best wishes and names in the book beside thier pics, this will give us a coffee table book/photoalbum to remember our day and it will ensure that every guest has thier picture made on our day.

  9. I'm glad to hear such positive comments about the South as I'll be making my home there - southISH I guess, NC..

The only place I spent time before was SoCal, right on the beach at Venice, which i did love - tho living right on top of LA was good in many ways, it was also very dirty.

The people that I met (big Brit expat community in Santa Monica if you're every down that way) were all really nice tho.

I'm happy to hear so many of you think the South is such a nice place to live

Hi Jaylen, I'm in NC and I can tell you it has its positive side as well as drawbacks just like anywhere, but since your thinking of coming this way I will tell you positive...he he.. I am from the Charlotte area and its really nice coz your just a few hours from the beach and just a few hours from the mountains, lots of history and really neat things to do, ie; Biltmore Estates (my MIL from Ireland loved it) Old Salem, were also close to Charleston SC (2 1/2 hrs) in which I feel is one of the most beautiful towns in the US. I tend to hear people say that our unemployment is high, but to be honest, if you cant find a job here its due to laziness in my opinion, I have lived here for 20+ years and nobody in my family has had issues finding work. If your coming to NC let me just say WELCOME and I really hope you enjoy it.

    Sherry :)

    Aww thanks!

I'm gonna be in a small town called Lenoir (kinda just outside it actually) and it'll be a BIG change from where I live now which is just outside my nation's capital! :D

    (That's London btw  )

I *am* looking forward to less noise and traffic, and huge crowds - which at times is rather wearing - the main downside for me - until I can drive - is lack of public transport - oh and the 'local' mall is a bit smaller than Im used to but once I learn to drive Im sure that will give me a longer range :)

The scenery there tho is wonderful, so MANY trees and open spaces which is great and some breautiful mountians not too far away with breathtaking views and trails :)

Ahhhh Lenoir is a nice area, I am about 20 minutes from there, and I know what ya mean that mall is small, tho much bigger than the one in my town. The better ones are in Charlotte, and you can also get a bit of European chocolate at the Charlotte mall. You'll be out and driving in no time and you will find all the good shops, and if ya need help, I dont mind telling ya where they are...ha ha! Best of luck to ya!

  10. My 10 year reunion was last year, I didnt go, I see some people I went to school with but only keep in touch with like 3, ours decided they were gonna do a very formal sit down dinner at $100 a person. I never cared to pay $2.00 to eat lunch with these people, there was no way I was gonna pay $100 for dinner. And we had plenty of those chop thingys you all are always mentioning...LMAO

  15. TRISHA YEARWOOD - Walkaway Joe

Don't leave me in the corner

'Cos I just wanna go home

Don't lock me in the darkness

'Cos I just wanna go home

Spent my life working on the land

Trying for something in my own

Oh, I just aint't worth it

    There's nothing in return

You can't take it with you when you go

    The Catch- 25 years?

    Indeed. A Masterpiece.

Your the air that I breathe

your the sun when it breaks thru the clouds

    your all that I need

    Indeed. A Masterpiece.

And I wonder do you wonder

While you're sleeping with your #######

    That sharing beds with history

    Is like a-licking running sores

    Forty shades of green yeah

    Sixty shades of red

    Heroes going cheap these days

Price; a bullet in the head

    Boomtown Rats- Banana Republic

  17. well now ain't that just the happiest little song!

    jk.

I am going to look it up on iTunes see what the music is like-I have heard of Blue October , but that song is not ringing a bell.

LOL I told ya it sounds very bad but I love to listen to it, I like the fellas voice and the beat to the song! Actually I havent heard of the group so I am interested in what else they have. I'm not a fan of heavy grungy type rock but I like some. My hubby says I'm a ballad hag and a light rocker!LOL
