  1. Received my Passport card on Saturday, and due to some delays ( with Arkansas USPS Distribution center) I received my passport book today.... waiting for NC. Thanks to all Of you here on this topic thread. My journey is OVER!!!! No more waiting and asking myself when I’m getting approved or getting this or that. The Waiting Game is OVER! Bye!

  2. Has anyone tracked their PP shipment and seen this feed on USPS tracking status?  “Your package is moving within the USPS network and is on track to be delivered the expected delivery date. It is currently in transit to the next facility.” It’s hasn’t changed since I’m day when it was shipped fro Arkansas.

I have a funny reason the PP may not get to me tomorrow and as shown on the USPS tracker.

  3. Guys if anyone can pls help me on this ..... my PP was approved on Friday around 11pm. I called the call center on Monday and they said it’s being prepared to be shipped that same day and they gave me the tracking number. I was only able to track when it left Arkansas but now all I see on the tracker “ it’s in the USPS system “.
How long does it take for USPS take to deliver Passport priority mails? I have read stories of people getting their mails missed up ..... I hope I won’t fall in that.

    thanks!

My application has been stuck there since July 7. And the funny thing is that they went into phase one on August 17 :)

Yep. That center was setup purposely to Prioritize the PP application and renewal process of our military men and women , their spouses and children. So my guess is they’ll finish with every backlog that has military on it before they move down to civilians. That’s my thought.

  5. GOOD NEWS! So couple of minutes after pouring my frustrations out about how this process doesn’t seem to end for me today, I checked my case status it said my Notice of oath ceremony has been mailed. I didn’t get to to see the date at the moment so I called the 1-800.... number and the rep told me I have been scheduled for July 21st at 9am at the Chicago USCIS Office (Ida B Wells).  I had to Waive the name change i initially requested in order to get this done faster. I didn’t want to wait any longer for a judicial oath swearing for a name change. I can always do that after my first passport expires and I want to do a renewal, by then all this craziness and unending wait will be over.

Hi..... did you get a text msg , email or it showed up on your account? I am a Chicago filer too I did my interview on March 5th. Waiting for my oath ceremony. This is now frustrating!  But I can’t complain since Chicago is moving at least.

I am waiting for an oath and changing name too! And I am also in Illinois, but my service Center is in St. Louis, MO. I think I will have to do my oath in an Illinois Courthouse though. How did you learn that your local courthouse is not allowing oath ceremonies until July 15? Do you think this apply to all courthouses in the state? I am getting anxious knowing there are ceremonies happening in St. Louis and I am being left behind. :(

I live In Chicago so my  oath swearing will in the Northern Illinois Court district which is located at downtown Chicago.  If you live in southern Illinois or close to St. Louis , then your oath swearing will be in the southern Illinois court district ( they haven’t set any date for start civic events like naturalizations)

Friends, did anyone from Chicago get scheduled for the oath ceremony letter?

I’m from Chicago and I don’t have my oath ceremony notice yet. I had my interview on March 5th and was scheduled for oath swearing on March 30th. I am still waiting for a new notice. I know someone I in Chicago who had his interview on March 2nd. and scheduled oath swearing on March 24th, he was sent a new notice for June 22nd oath ceremony.
In my situation I’m changing my name (adding a middle name) so I doubt if i will get a notice anytime soon. I really want to vote this year.

Ok y'all! After congratulating those who received a call from USCIS office, I went to check mine on their website, just in case!

Lo and behold, they had reschedule me for the oath ceremony for Tuesday June 30th! At 11:30am!

Glad this lengthy process is almost done!!

Hi ..... please if I may ask, did you request for name name change ??? I was scheduled for oath swearing on March 30th. But it was rescheduled for the obvious reason. I see schedules trickling in for Chicago filers but I feel because I requested for a name change I may not be lucky to get my schedule soon since I have to swear in court.

Small ceremonies will be scheduled for OATH!

To help slow the spread of COVID-19, we’ve temporarily suspended in-person services at our offices until on or after June 4. We’ll work towards reopening our offices with your safety & the safety of our workforce in mind. We will automatically reschedule naturalization ceremonies and will send you notice by mail.

In certain limited situations, we may be able to perform small ceremonies for a limited number of applicants, when possible & all appropriate precautions can be taken. To read more about our operations during this time, visit: www.uscis.gov/coronavirus

Great news!!! But this is good news to administrative oath ceremonies and not for judicial (change of name) oath ceremonies which I’m part of ☹️.

The uscis has extended the office reopening to June 4th. So any oath swearing or interview won’t be scheduled until on or after June 4th.
