My dad I485 was approved yesterday, and green card is in production, without interview.

Waiting on mom now, I130 was approved two weeks ago

The I-485 determines whether she is admissible and eligible to adjust status in the US. In other words, the I-485 determines if she can get her green card here without having to go to her home country and get it at the Embassy. 

 

USCIS tends to waive AOS interviews for parents of US citizens. My mother got her EAD 90 days within filing and green card in the mail within 6 months. Did you submit the I-693 Medical?

Yes I submitted i130-i485 all together with all the required paperwork.

6 months seems very fast nowadays to be approved

My mom's i130 has been approved. 

What does that mean? I'm confused. 

I filed concurrently i485. 

Does that mean she won't need an interview?

My dad AOS package, received January19th, received his biometrics appointment Saturday April3rd, 2021, for an appointment April 23rd.

My mom has the same date , but did not receive it yet

That is crazy wait time.. I hope they process our case faster once we have the biometrics taken... is there anyway to check whats happening ?

Did someone got their biometric letter ?

Package sent for my mother sponsored by me USC January 14th, 2021. Checks was cashed March 3rd, 2021

My dad package was sent the same day, checks was cashed February 4th, 2021. 1  month difference for 2 packages sent and received the same day...

Mine was filed in january, and still have not received any NOA

I sent two application , january 18th, one of them had cash checks. the other not yet

Called yesterday to apply for expedited service. can someone clear my doubt on that? I called and he took my credit card, $60.00 and he said my card will be charged only if it is approved for expedited. When should I expect my card to be charged, and why would they not approve it ?

Applied 01/13 at USPS office. Money order still not cashed, and status "not found", more than 2 weeks passed. I called and they told me they cannot do anything, they did not receive it yet. how long does it take for them to receive the apps once it's done at the usps office ?

Regarding the I864 - part 3 - should I select "i am sponsoring the following family members immigrating at the same" or should I select only sponsoring the principal immigrant?

I am asking this because I am filing 1AOS parents (or can I file jointly?)

Their visa is valid until June 2021, I will apply for AOS and ask for AP and wait until they receive their AP just to be safe and not have any trouble.

No.  When you select that you are planning to AOS, then USCIS holds on to the I-130 after approval instead of sending it to the NVC.  You have to fill out and submit the I-485 for your parents, along with I-864, I-131, I-765 and I-944.  That last might not be required next year if the new administration cancels it or drops their defence of the lawsuits.  Also, the fees for I-485.

 

 

good to know... I have to fillout AOS paperwork and mail it or I can do do that online too ?

I assume you filed the I-130 online.  That petition does not require the I-864.  I-864 is needed when you file the I-485.

 

But I am also filing the I485 automatically because they are in the US so it is an ajustement of status.  i am guessing it is automatically generated when I select that they are already in the US

So what is better ? To renew their visa now, and still apply for AOS at the same time ?

The time line is so thin, i am not sure what to do.

Or, apply for AOS now and just wait until they receive their AP.. that simple

Hello everybody!

I will sponsor my parents, they are here on an investor visa for the past 5 years. their visa is ending in june 2021, I will file next month.

But 2 questions :

- I do the process online, and I filled out everything, and for some reason I did not see anywhere the I864. This is not applicable anymore ?

- I will apply for travel permits, if they are out of the country while their travel permit is approved, can they re-enter with it, if I mail it to them ? Just wondering, because they might have to be in and out for business purposes

It means RED FLAG , and the officer must investigate at the time of interview. At least, that was what the officer told me
