Jamy2014 got a reaction from MadeForEachOther_ in I-751 May 2017 Filers
Surprise, surprise!
This morning I got my usual text message update and first I wasn't paying attention to it, since I expected the same old story. BUT: it said "we have taken an action...". So I logged in my USCIS account and it said "Card is produced". YEAH! 4 months under the 19 months estimated process time of CSC. The case status USCIS page still does show "case received" but logging into "My USCIS" seems to be updated sooner. However, I don't care....I'll wait now for the GC in the mail...I might call to confirm...
Timeline:
05/03/2017 I-751 delivered CSC
08/14/2018 GC will be produced and emailed!

The exact same thing happened to us, except I saw last week the card was produced. I was actually worried when I got this email today that something had changed, but logging in again showed as of August 3rd card has been mailed. So hopefully we see the card soon! We got transferred to VSC a couple weeks ago.

Actually, from what I've read from others, what will happen is your green card application and your citizenship application will combine into ONE interview. Also, combining your applications doesn't make it take longer. The opposite is true. Let's say your local office takes a year to process N-400's. If you applied for that in May, 2018, for example, you'd likely have your citizenship interview by May 2019. IF you'd waited for your green card approval to apply for citizenship, you'd still be waiting to apply, and that year-long wait would still be in front of you. In my opinion, since citizenship is actually your goal, it's not really relevant when your green card gets approved. You may have to get the stamp in your passport; you may get the 18 month extension letter people are beginning to get in the mail, but overall, you're sitting in a better position to get your citizenship sooner. Los Angeles is a long wait for interviews; that's why we applied already instead of waiting for the green card approval. You may see it completely differently, but I think you made the correct decision, for what it's worth.
Congratulations!!

You have to make an infopass appointment with your local field office to get a stamp into your passport as an extension of the extension. Some field offices make the stamp valid for another 6 months, some for another 12 months. We CSC filer probably are in desperate need of the 12 months one.

Jamy2014 reacted to nywestq in Case Was Received At My Local Office
Just got in from my Infopass and the immigration officer was very nice. NYC FIELD OFFICE
So she explained to me the CRI-89 Receipt Number from the biometrics is actually what we should track as the I751 receipt number is really an internal number for officers so they understand the wording of everything. she explained to me however thats why all the received at local office for the I751 number has been showing up. She explained to me that at the internal level the "local office" that the case has been received at is actually Vermont in my case and California service centre for others being that its for form Removal of Conditions. She explained that the files have been in storage for a whole year but until the immigration officer needs the files they will request it Or a bulk and when a worker sends it to them it will come up as Received by Local office so its no longer in a vault but actually in the office to be processed. When they start to work on it that update might come again and do remember they are in bulks so updates might not show up same time. She told me when the form gets transferred you will get a "Transferred to new office and that office has jurisdiction for your case" followed by the notice in the mail. She told me for internal matters the local office for each form is where u filed it based on your address. However the Local Field Office for a person is based on zip code. so local office goes by form and where they are filed and Local Field office is by your zip code. there was so much more I learnt from her however I don't want to bore you too much so I explained as much as I could. I went there for the extension stamp and was given a 60 day validity stamp as she said the system showing that I had a DOB and Name update a few days ago and yesterday my case was approved. also I was told most updates tend to show up 2 to 3 days after its entered into the system. So Im now waiting on my approval letter in the mail which she assume I will have by Monday. she wanted to print the approval for me which I didn't know was possible however it wouldn't allow her as the approved hasn't updated on the case status site yet but she could see I was approved.

Jamy2014 got a reaction from Derwood in I-751 April 2017 Filers
@Derwood you were right! I just got an email and of course they said that my case was in the processing times. LOL...They didn´t get it that I wasn´t asking about the case itself but for the missing transfer notice and they didn´t answer that at all instead they said I believe it was outside of the processing times...What a mess, do they ever read those service requests at all??? Oh well....it was at least a try...
Type of service requested:
-- Non-Delivery of Other Notice
The status of this service request is:
On March 3, 2018, you contacted USCIS for an update on the status of your case, which you believe is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been resolved.
Our records indicate that your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, was received at the California Service Center on May 9, 2017, which is within the most-recently published processing time specified on the USCIS website. Although subject to change, we are presently adjudicating I-751 petitions filed on or prior to September 7, 2016.
Please note that your Conditional Resident status remains valid until a decision is rendered in your case. You can continue to work and travel during this time.

This looks like an automated message you get if you have signed up for an account with USCIS. You can opt out for this "case inactivity notifications".

Jamy2014 reacted to Avandongen in Case Was Received At My Local Office
March 2017 CSC filer here. I spoke with a Tier 1 that said my husbands case WAS transferred to local office and gave me the Local office it was transferred to.
Spoke to a couple lawyers and convo was:
Me: I751 transferred to Local Office? Please help answer. I looked up my status today of my i751 (filed March 2017 at CSC) and it says transferred to local office. From what i understand they dont do (or arent capable of because of amount of workers) approvals or denials for i751? I have at seen at least 20 people with same transfer just today. Any insight? Thank you so much in advance. Answer 1: Posted Monday at 11:15pm it could be that, or it could be a transfer for interview to be scheduled. Answer 2: Posted yesterday at 12:16pm I'm not sure what you mean by not capable of approvals or denials. The I-751 can be adjudicated beginning to end at either the service center, or local office.

Still hanging in here....
I will apply for naturalization but have to apply soon for the retention permit of my German one since I would like to have both citizenships. Since the German retention application takes up to 12 months itself I think the US naturalization won´t interfere with the renewal of my GC...well...I HOPE...

I can confirm that. I had my biometrics yesterday at the ASC in Orlando. I asked for the stamp in my passport and the officer there referred me to the field office and InfoPass appointment since he said they won´t do walk ins. The guard said the same but said as well they might put a stamp in the passport or they don´t. It is up to the officer there. The other officer at ASC said they probably will do after explaining that especially overseas airline personal at check in or border officers sometimes really don´t know what to think about an expired GC in connection with the extension letter.

Sorry, am a little bit late with the reply but I see others already took care of your question! :-)
I´ve got through the automated instructions and instead of leaving me in the waiting line (like back in the days of our I-130 times) I could choose a call back option which I did. Within 5 minutes (although automated voice said 15 min) I´ve got a call back from an officer who couldn´t answer my question but forwarded me to a Tier2 officer. Both were very nice and willing to help. :-)

From what I´ve seen looking at timelines the NOA is received within 2 - 3 days after check is cashed. Hopefully it is "just" late and did not get lost on its way. I´ll keep my fingers crossed.

2 years and 9 months of being here on Conditional Residence? I got married in April 2013 - He finally got approved and came on a CR1 on June 6th,2015. Just applied for I-751 March 8th. When would I start applying for N-400? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question. I swear since I been in cancer treatment I have chemo brain (very forgetful and simple things are not as understandable) Thanks ahead of time.
