So i was in hold with NVC through Skype for 40 minutes when finally Jake got my call. I was about to give him all the info about my case when my husband call me on facetime and guess what? Skype TURN OFF MY FREACKING CALLLLLLL

As if my life needed more drama.

So, I called again (husband was still at work, so we decided I'd call and he would just wait QUIET for my call back)

30 minutes later Max got my call and when I asked:

"I wonder if you have any news about my case?"

He said:

"well, we received and accepted all your docs, now just waiting for a interview to be scheduled"

I was like

"Wait..so do I have a case complete?" (I need to hear that)

he said "Yes m'am!"

I wa slike "MAX YOU BRIGHTENED MY DAY, HOPE YOUR FRIDAY BE ### GOOD AS MINE WILL BE!"

he laughed, thank me and said "Glad I could bring some good news to you."

Also she found out by N/A so that means the CC was actually yesterday or maybe really early today???

I don't really know how the N/A thing works. Some people get N/A in the middle of the day after checking it in the morning so it may be instantaneous? Not sure though.

My case hasn't been reviewed yet oh well... had to try! I got a very nice man on the phone though, which was a big plus. I didn't catch his name. They told me they received my mail Oct 24 (??? Oh well, I guess no one knows ) and that he was sorry he didn't have any good news for me but I should "expect it very soon", most likely next week. Eh, nothing lost!

On the bright side, no bad news, and I can stop checking CEAC until tomorrow... or Monday... maybe.

Hello Everyone!

I've had a most happy and incredibly stressful morning. So it's been creeping up to the 60 day limit (and no N/A on ceac) from my last scan date and I decided I would call NVC to see the status of our case and guess what?! CASE COMPLETE TODAY!!! AND interview scheduled!

But talk about giving absolutely minimal notice of everything! My husband and I had holidays planned from dec 23-Jan 5th in Boston with his parents. So I have exactly one week to do my vaccinations and get my medical done in Vancouver. Contacted Dr. Cheema today and praying he's able to fit me in next week..then from Boston i'm planning to fly to montreal for the interview and then back to Vancouver. Phew. Did not expect the interview to be in January...was definitely thinking it would be in Feb! Anyways took me all morning to figure out logistics but i'm finally feeling good about it. At one point i thought i would have to reschedule the interview but VJer's suggested that was an incredibly bad idea with Montreal. Thanks for all the advice everyone! Will update on the ever-continuing process...

Don't hang up....you may get some good news! I'm annoyed with NVC.....but then I remember they get thousands of cases per day so I try to get over it

I swear NVC almost gave me a heart attack LOL . . . i just hung up with them (nothing new) but the guy said my case was sent to a supervisor for review b/c the IV Fee didn't show as paid. I was like "Yes i paid it like 2 months ago!" and then he magically found it. He was kind of "nice rude" lol (can't remember his name) . . . anyway he said that no the case had not been sent to a supervisor for review b/c there is nothing for the supervisor to review and that i should have a result soon.

In the end I just asked, so my case is just being processed normally since my documents have not been reviewed yet right? He said yes. Wait for a result shortly.

I ended up more confused than ever and freaked out thinking i did something wrong and a checklist was coming! Horrible feeling.....I hope I get a CC and not a checklist.

That's my status of the day. Hope we get more CCs today.

I have a feeling that we will get a wave of them over the weekend - it's what has happened the past few Fridays I've seen. Dead and then Saturday hits and we see about 3-5 CC's over the weekend from the delay on the computer. Really hope I'm right (although I hope I'm wrong and someone gets it today! Eeek!)

AFS/AMM received CC today. Scan date was 10/09 i believe and NVC changed it to 10/24. Called in and found out about CC, which is great news.

I hope so too for our sake! To be completely honest with you though, I don't believe 100% that there will be a second round of interviews... I really really really hope I'm wrong and I would be lying if I said I didn't hold hopes for a January interview but I think I've heard this rumor about a second round of scheduling a few times before and NVC is random at best. For now I'm trying not to worry too much about it and "just" settling for a CC.

Seriously! I know this is dumb but every time I log into the CEAC site I feel like it's never gonna happen come on... two more days...

I know and this puts the interview on hold as well. I read on this thread or the other one that NVC will start scheduling a second round next week so I need CC by mMondayto get in i think. It would be best if my husband and i can get a January interview since he starts school again at end of January and would have to miss almost an entire week (limited flights, etc.). If we can go in January instead of February, it would be best you know. I really hope we get it by Monday or over the weekend.

Yes, the AOS changing to N/A is a good sign as many have said that is a sign of CC. You usually receive the email from NVC confirming the CC 7 days after it was actually completed. I don't know anything about the CEAC tracker though, sorry.

From what I see, imse82 is checklist for IV package, buuut they're doing EP - another member (scan date 10/15?) mentioned the other day that they asked NVC and EP is currently a few days behind regular mail (sometimes it's faster, sometimes it's slower from what I've gathered).

AFS/AMM is AOS checklist, also doing EP. There's our answer, I think.

I see.....what a fail on NVC's part! lol....hopefully there will be more CCs today and tomorrow.

imse82 & AFS/AMM . . . are you two checklists or "new" packages? Have you called today? I believe AFS/AMM is past the 60 days at this point and tomorrow would technically be the last day for imse82.

my finger was on "refresh" all day yesterday on the CEAC website lol . . . Yes, i already checked it twice today LOL . . . I don't know if i want to call. I'm at work today and their hold time is sometimes ridiculous. *Sigh* I just want the PAID to turn to N/A so i can be happy Only problem is that that is not always reliable.

You know, i used to think that they reviewed cases by their scan date regardless of whether it was a checklist or new package but i've noticed that most CCs have been for checklists (which makes sense). I hope they start working on new packages shortly though so we can move onto the third stage of our process

That depends on how busy the embassy is. I believe NVC will start scheduling a second round of interviews next week for january (i read another user said this) but how fast you get a date and how far out all depends on the embassy/consulate you are set to interview at.

The only thing i have noticed so far is that most of the CCs have been checklists (which is great b/c you guys need to get out of here already!) I think only laurenmat was a "new" package. They need to start on those pronto! I feel like i am going a little crazy over here lol
