Does anyone know if NVC has the day off on Veterans Day (Nov. 11, 2014)? Not everyone has it off but they might. Thanks!
-
Haha, wish I could have you ask about mine while you're at it! Let me know what they said, mine were delivered via FedEx early on 10/22.
Geez i was on hold for 51 minutes to have a 1 minute call! LOL
Received date of 10/23/14 - today! Yay....countdown begins now....
B/c there is a holiday in November (Thanksgiving), i assume my 60 day completion date will be 12/24/14 (62 days after today).....I'm trying to get in before the Christmas and New Years holiday
-
Yeah, it's the date NVC actually goes through the mail I guess and "inputs" the package in the system, which from what I've seen is like 2-3 days after USPS/FedEx/whatever delivers it.
I'm on hold with NVC now since I have not received an email yet and my documents were delivered via FedEx on 10/21. Thank you for info!
-
Yes they said they recvd them the 17th so that's what ppl mean by scan date ?
As far as I know, if the email says they received them on the 17th, then that is your scan date. NVC calls it a "received date" and we call it a "scan date."
-
I sent document on 10/17 and it reach there 10/20 and got email today that we receive your document on 10/21 will be take 60 days to review....
Thank you! I sent in mine on 10/20, delivered 10/21 but i have not received an email yet and am getting worried.....with NVC it's hard not to worry and i absolutely hate calling them!
-
Is your scan date the same day they send the email? Bc I just got an enail saying they recvd my documents
I'm not sure because some people were given different dates than what is on the email. Hopefully someone else responds. When did you send in your docs? When did you receive the email?
-
You should get something by Friday telling you about the 60 day wait and scan date..
Ok, thanks! I'm anxiously checking here and there lol
Hey, looks like for various reasons we still have the same timeline.
My packages are going to be delivered today. Looking forward to seeing more updates from you!
Likewise! Keep us updated with your progress as well
-
How long does it normally take NVC to scan our packages into their system? My docs were delivered yesterday, 10/21 early in the morning and am wondering if I should expect an email today or tomorrow?
-
It is finally out of our hands and into the NVC. Don't look back now and let's get through this as quickly as possible - just promise you'll come celebrate on here when you get it (as you'll be a day ahead of me with scan date I believe!) -- of course after you celebrate it with your hubby!!
Of course! I plan to keep following the NVC thread in order to be updated. If you get a CC before me, also let us know! Hopefully it takes less than 60 days but i am not planning on it so i won't be disappointed.

Nvc still working on August they haven't even start with Sept yet the only reason this cases are being close with Iv scan mid Sept is because the AOS have a scan date of August and they are reviewing cases together..
My checklist scan date 10/3
That's a bummer! Oh well, at least they may start on September next week and maybe they'll move along quickly.
-
Yep it's true ! Do you think there is hope for a November interview still ?
I read in the other thread that they finished scheduling November interviews on the 17th. You might have a December interview but then again, you never know! NVC is so special
Also, congratulations!!
-
Congrats!
I wonder if they are truly working on mid September cases or just reviewing cases together with old scan date first. I hope the former is true!
I hope so as well b/c that would mean that September might actually be finished by first week of November! I hope they have truly sped up as they keep saying.

Yaay! I've been MIA lately on this thread...just got our package sent today (10/21) - I'll post my delay in a new message so others can perhaps benefit (or the few that are in my neck of the woods...) But congrats, we will probably have almost the same scan date together so let's see what happens...praying for both of us!!
FYI I saw somewhere that it is better to just paperclip? I know you already sent it but it's just for the fact that the reps will have to 'unstaple' and that takes more time away from them.
I sent in my package yesterday 10/20/2014 and it was delivered this morning 10/21! I'm hoping they scan it in their system by tomorrow 10/22 and my 60 days begin. B/c of the many upcoming holidays in the USA, I am not expecting a CC until about the very end of December (30th perhaps).
I'm so excited and so happy at the same time that i am done with putting things together and paying fees. All I am doing now is praying to my Lord Jesuschrist that I do not get a checklist!
Best of luck to you too!

I'd suggest putting each respective address on their respective envelope (and the write the name of the package on each one [Affidavit of Support package / Immigrant Visa package]. Then, for the actual FedEx mailing envelope, just choose one. NVC will redirect the packages to the correct department.
Will do, thank you so much for the quick responses!
-
You're welcome!
Obviously, writing the case number isn't a 100% guarantee the documents still won't get lost (you know how special NVC is
), but I'm sure your chances are much lower of that happening if there's some identifying numbers on each page.
Yes, of course. NVC is extremely special lol
By the way, sorry for the double post but i have one more question. I am sendg out both packages today but each cover sheet has a different Attention to: (AOS has CMR AOS and IV has CMR). Since i am putting these in a FedEx envelope, does it matter what address I send them to? Is there a preference of one over another?
-
By all documents, I meant all of them (except the cover letter and cover sheet, as I mentioned).
The whole purpose of writing the case number is in case one of the papers falls out of the package and gets misplaced. If there's a case number on the document, then it'll be that much easier for them to relocate it to your case.
But it's entirely up to you if you don't want to write the case number. I suggest you do though.
Thank you Saylin! I will do it
I've seen too many people get dinged b/c NVC lost one of their docs. Thank you again!

I am sending out both AOS & IV packages today. Since they are both going via Fedex (i am putting each pkg in a separate folder inside the FedEx envelope), which address do I send it to? I have the one for CMR AOS and CMR (for the IV) but since they are both going inside the same FedEx envelope, not sure which one I am supposed to use. Does it matter?

Hi everyone,
I know Saylin says in her WiKi to write your case # on the top right corner of all docs submitted. Should I also write it on the I-864EZ form? Has anyone had any issues with this?

Awesome! It's funny how NVC process is so crazy that makes us be happy for paying a bill LOL
I know! LOL. . . had never been so happy to see $325 available on the screen! LOL . . . on the bright side, it now shows PAID and the DS-260 is available to fill out which I plan to do tonight with my husband!

Its always safe to attach Translations along with the originals . It makes it easier for them to review...Thats how sent it ...I put All Originals and Translations together and then All Photocopies. It will be cumbersome for reviewer to know which translation is for which certificate
Thank you! That's my fear, that they won't know and here comes a checklist! Thanks again
One more question, did you staple your documents? For example, did you staple the entire AOS form? Staple each IRS Transcript/return, etc...? I know it's a silly question but you never know with them, that's why!

I was able to pay my IV fee today!
It finally unlocked!
