Income is based on IRS for W2? If so then yes
Yes it is, thank you!
Yes, as your annual salary is an earned income
you meet all requirements to use that form.
Make sure you don't leave the "address if different" question blank. Just repeat the same address as before, if your mailing and physical address are the same.
Thank you! I felt silly asking but rather be safe than sorry
Yes, I have read that a lot of people get checklist for this particular part so I will make sure I do not leave it blank. Thank you!
Yes your are eligible, but please, please pay close attention to the income section when completeing this form. It was confusing to me and I put the wrong numbers and got a checklist for it.
Thank you! Yes I read that that section causes much trouble. I understood that I need to provide my total income on this section for all three years I am submitting. Is that correct? Also, can you let me know if you left any areas blank, or put N/A or None? Thanks.

Hi Guys,
I'm wondering if I am eligible to use form I-864EZ? Here are the requirements:
(a) I am the petitioner of the family member sponsored on this form -- YES, I am
(b) I am only using my own earned or retirement income -- (I am using my annual salary as my basis for the petition -- would this be a YES?)
© The sponsored immigrant is the only person immigrating based on the underlying visa petition -- YES, he is the only person immigrating
Thank you!

Just seen your ship date to NVC - about the same as ours - Let's hope for good news and we move out of NVC together quickly
Seriously, nothing would make me happier!

My wife put USA for her country of domicile even though she is in the UK with me for almost 2 years (leaving in a week now though!).
No issues seems to come up, plus what you're doing, it's not like you really gave up your US residence. Your job is in the US, you are going to school in the US.. Are you on any type of visa for Mexico, or are you just using your passport as a tourist?
I'm just using my passport as a tourist. Wonder if I should get a visa at this point that says I am temporarily in mexico? Thank your for responding. This truly helps a lot!
Does your wife have a tourist visa?

I have a question regarding question #5 on page 3 of the I-864 and the questions regarding the sponsor's information. Here's the breakdown:
I currently live in Mexico (Tijuana) with my husband but I cross the border into the U.S. everyday for work (M-F) and on some days for work & school (my school is also in the U.S.). I pay a lady monthly rent basically to rent me her address so I can have a place where all my mail is delivered. I am going to be the only sponsor for my husband. Here are my concerns:
In regards to question #5 on page 3 where it asks Country of Domicile, can I put USA? My work, school, legal docs all have the US address I rent but I am not sure if this is different.
In regards to the section where it asks for the sponsor's mailing address & place of residence, can I also put my US address?
Thank you for any advice! (Sorry for the double post but no one responded to my other one). Thanks again!!

I called NVC today.
I spoke to Yvette.
Our case was received 9.4.2014.
I was on hold for 28 minutes.
RobbieG that is wonderful news! So happy for you. . . .Not sure if you read that there might be a new process where both packages are to be mailed in together (in our case, I think we have EP) and they are going to be reviewed together? I really really hope this is true so we spend less time in NVC and move out of here quickly.
Unfortunately, we might be subject to the new increased fees
but even that doesn't matter to me as long as I can get out of NVC as quickly as possible! . . . now you just have to wait for DS-261 to become available. Best of luck to you and thanks for keeping us in the loop!!
Also, just observing, that your case was received before the 5 weeks they quoted me after NOA2. YAY!
That's also good news for those of us waiting . . . .

Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding question #5 on page 3 and the questions regarding the sponsor's information. Here's the breakdown:

I pay a lady monthly rent basically to rent me her address so I can have a place where all my mail is delivered. I am going to be the only sponsor for my husband (I meet the poverty level requirement). Here are my concerns:

#2a -- 5? if you mean the second page for family member and if you are only sponsoring one applicant, 2a-5 are blank...write N/A next to 2a, 3a, 4a, 5a and 6a.
if you mean first page, mailing address....this really does not matter. either is fine... but I prefer petitioners address if she/he is in the US. so NVC can contact directly without worrying about any lost mail due to oversea mailing.
but after you filled out form 261, choice of agent, they don't really mail out anything, instead of snail mail, they just send you emails...so you will get all the info through email.
Thank you!! I was referring to page 1, sorry.

Part 2 question 1a to 5 is all about the beneficiary which is the principal immigrant. While Part 4, question 1a to 6 should have the details and address of the petitioner.
**sorry for the double post, couldn't edit my previous post**
Petitioner's address. This form is all about petitioner.
Hello, I was following this thread because I have the same question but am a little confused. Is it the petitioner or beneficiary's info that goes in part 2, #2a -- 5? Both of you answered but am unsure who is correct.
Please advise, thank you!!!

Called NVC this morning...not sure who I spoke with but it was someone nice. Case has not been received yet. I was told to wait 5 weeks from NOA2 date for my case to be "received" by NVC. I think someone posted that they told them 25 business days which is essentially 5 weeks so I guess that makes sense. The waiting continues

I was over at the NVC thread and noticed they're speaking about fee increases. As of September 12th the AOS and IV fees will increase.
AOS now $88 will be $120
IV now $230 will be $325
What a joke after they take so long to do their jobs. Grrrrr!!!!!!!
http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/fees-visa-services.html
Thanks for sharing.
At least we can prepare for the increase...but this really sucks! If they only used the increase to hire more people, then it could be worth it right? Lol.....wishful thinking!
Anyway, thanks again...better start saving some more!

Got NOA2 on 8/15/14, notice of shipment on 8/26/14 FYI.
Thanks! I was approved 8/18 and received the email today that it was shipped (11 days just like you!).
I have a question for everyone: my 129F was also approved on 8/18 and shipped today 8/29. The 129F is obsolete at this point right? I ask because the NOA2 they sent me had a visa deadline until 12/17/2014, so I wasn't 100% sure anymore if that visa was obsolete or not.
Thanks!

Our NOA2 was approved 8/18/2014. I called USCIS yesterday to check if our case was shipped already to NVC as we have not received an email confirming this yet. Rep said I had to wait 90 days from NOA2 date for NVC to receive the case and communicate with us. WOW....that's a really long time.
I emailed NVC on Monday 8/25 asking for my case number & IIN (I know this is going to take a while to get). I will call by mid next month if I have no response but this backlog is insane.
Just fyi....in case others are also waiting for this "shipped" email or some type of response from NVC.
Good luck to the rest still waiting for NOA2. Hang in there!!

Hi,
There is only one original.
How would you get an original birth certificate issued years after your birth?
You are imagining a problem where there is none.
I said I had my original and was asking if I needed to get a certified copy. Thanks for your response though, you are right, there shouldn't be an issue.
-
Hi everyone,
Reading up on Ciudad Juarez's website, I saw that the petitioner (US Citizen in my case) has to provide the original or certified copy of his or her birth certificate (as well as the applicant).
I am the petitioner and have my original birth certificate from 30 years ago. My question is this: has anyone who has interviewed at CDJ been told that their original is no good because it's too old or something to that effect??
I was born in El Salvador so obtaining a certified copy is not that easy or fast and if I can avoid having to order a new one, that would be awesome! I just don't want anything to delay the process.
Thanks for any replies!

Yes, you can email them at nvcinquiry@state.gov
You need to put your USCIS receipt number in the subject line
In the body, you list the petitioner's and beneficiary's names and DOBs before beginning your request
Expect to wait a couple of weeks to a couple of months for a reply, but in my experience they always do reply. I got my case number by emailing them, they replied directly to my original inquiry. I had also called a couple of days before the written inquiry unit responded to me, so I already had the info, but nice to know they do reply to emails
ETA: If you provided the petitioner's email address on the G-1145, NVC will write to that address when the time comes to pay the AOS invoice and fill in the DS-261. When I called, they had my husband's email and confirmed it with me before asking for mine. There is no benefit to knowing your case number before the AOS invoice and DS-261 are available, so don't stress yourself out too much with having to know it.
Awesome, thank you! I'll do this since calling can sometimes be an issue for me. I submitted a G-1145 with my USCIS packet and it had my email address (I am the petitioner). I assume USCIS sends this form to NVC as well right with the entire file?
Thank you for the information and quick response!

Hi everyone,
I obtained my NOA2 approval on 8/18/14 via email/website. I know there is a huge backlog at NVC and I won't get my case # and IIN for a while BUT my question is this: instead of calling, can I email NVC asking for this information? If so, do I email them at NVCInquiry@state.gov ?
If I email them, do I provide my USCIS case #, petitioner/beneficiary's names as well as email addresses where they can communicate with us so they know which case I am inquiring about? I assume this is probably the same information they ask over the phone in order to find your specific case right?
Any guidance is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Yes it is down.

Hello,
I-130 was approved yesterday and I have a question regarding email correspondence with NVC. I am a bit confused about what NVC says online:
How to Enroll Your Case for EmailTo establish email communication, an applicant, agent, or petitioner must enroll the case by sending an email to nvcinquiry@state.gov.
Can I do this now with the USCIS case # or do I need an NVC case #? Or do I need to wait for them to "receive" the case before I can enroll?
Thank you!

One question, if both 130 and 129F were approved today, 129F is obsolete right?

As far as I know, you have to wait 3 years (if you are married to a citizen) and 5 years if you are not married to a citizen. But more accurate information can be found at USCIS' website: http://www.uscis.gov/us-citizenship/citizenship-through-naturalization/naturalization-spouses-us-citizens

Hi,
I noticed on the cover sheet under Financial Documents that it asks for IRS transcripts (which I have) and Federal Income Taxes and W2 (I was planning to send in only the IRS transcripts). Do I check N/A for Federal Income Taxes/W2?
As for Proof of Relationship, not sure what type of proof I can send. Can you guide me? My husband appears on the Tax transcripts with me since he has an ITIN # (to file taxes jointly).
Proof of U.S. status? I sent in a copy of my passport to USCIS to show I am a USC. Do I need to send this to them for the AOS as well?
I'm not at this stage of the process yet, just trying to plan ahead. Thanks!
