I received the response from Senator today by mail. That is a letter from NSC response to Senator on Mar 20. The funny thing is that the same resolution (background check clearance) but difference answer. Let see

- NSC response on my inquiry : Wait another 90 days

- SCOPSSCATA response on my inquiry : Wait another 60 days

- USCIS response to Senator : Wait another 30 days

Haha, the next is USCIS response to God : Wait another N days

Hope this week for all May filers approval

"USCIS records indicate that, following an initial review of your I-130 case by an officer at NSC, an extended review of this case was initiated."

Above is last response from USCIS to me. No idea, hopeless, frustrate, mad.....

Anyone knows what does that mean?

Write a letter and email it regularly. The one that got most attention for me was when I emailed the letter at 8am then again at noon. I sent it with a read receipt request so I knew they read it. When I copied Donald Neufeld ..that is when people started noticing . Send the same letter to the same people.

It is horrific how they make us beg and then the same service centers are processing files from September. its hard to be in the NVC thread because there are people getting case completes who filed in June. Sorry, but I'm not over being pissed off that my file took so long to approve.

And now that I think about it... I sent the letter to Rendell.jones@dhs.gov the morning I was approved and he read it early i the morning right after I sent it. I sent the letter but forwarded the response I got from SCOPSSCATA saying they were researching my case and would get back to me... I asked how long does it really take to look in to my case? It is ridiculous that I have to wait 11 months..blah blah blah That night i was approved. So who ever he is, it seemed to help.

I just received reply from Mr. Rendell L Jones 30 mins after I sent email to him. Hope this will work today or early next week

My I-130 has been approved!!!!! my NOA1 is may 22 2013, application was transfered jan 03 2014. it seems to be moving but very slowly. Hang in there guys.

Hi every one does any know how long the background check takes for i130 process? ???

My case is pending under background check too, but I am not Pakistan. So dont ask how long background check on each region or country. For the petitioner, does he/she had filed for spouse before? If YES, how many times and filling status on each time. On my case, I have filed for my first wife about 3 years ago. She had denied a visa in the interview, we got devoirce a year after. I also filed the form to withdraw that petition. And now, the lawyer tell me that is a reason why my case pending for background check.

Today, the case number next to my case number has approved. I cant do anything for the whole day, just checked my case for update, checked email and text . Until 7 PM, nothing happen so I know today was gone without luck (

USCIS is now showing for Nebraska that as of Jan 31, 2014 the processing time is 5 months for the I-130! Time to place your service requests people; I just did

They work really fast, I just emailed them on last friday. My Senator also said in the letter that he had asked a Constituent Service Representative in Atlanta Office to look into this matter for me. The bottom of this letter is noticed "Upon receipt of your privacy release, Mr. Spry will make an initial contact with the Nebraska Service Center on your behalf"

Wish my case will moving forward in this week

You have to Google to find Senator in your State. All of them had the website and contact form. You can send email from there

I sent email to 2 Senators and 1 Congressman last night. Lucky all of them replied to me, tell me wait until next Monday they will work on it. Many hopes

We were approved today! After constant e-mails with USCIS workers and Senators.. We had a response from SCOPSSCATA that USCIS confirmed they had our cause with an officer today to be adjucated. Just a few minutes ago we received an approval! .. Finally!

Congrats!!!! I recieved a confirmation from them the day before yesterday. Hopefully we will be approved soon too! Did u wait 30 days after scopsscata reply or emailed the service centre right away?

I would just keep calling them and put service requests in. The funny thing is though, service requests really don't give you an answer unless something really is wrong. So they just give you any response/excuse to give you until they actually get around to your case. Hope today is everyone's lucky day!

Do you know how long we got response from OLU? I sent them an email last Friday, same day as SCOP. Got response from SCOP but OLU still nothing.

The wife kept replying to their messages. They said whenever they would get a response from the service center they would be in contact with us again. This was last Friday. Make sure you do it around 8AM so the e-mail is at the top of the list.
