  1. tears began to roll down Raju's face. Some no doubt were due to the pain being inflicted by the chains, but he also seemed to sense that change was coming

Heartwarming? More like pathetic. First of all the elephant wasn't crying.....knowing it was going to be freed....so we can say the "rescuers" are liars as well as thieves.

Not only that what are they going to do with it? Let it loose.....so other elephants or predators can kill it...or it will just starve to death?

The least they could have done was shot it and fed some people.....as long as they are criminals.....maybe with this deed I could forgive them.

  2. She received a million dollars for the international rights for her famous 1999 interview with ABC’s Barbara Walters; she got another $500,000 for cooperating with Monica’s Story, by British biographer Andrew Morton. There was a million-dollar endorsement deal with the weight-loss company Jenny Craig,

I don't feel sorry for her one bit. She took home 2.5 million bucks on just these listed deals.

There are millions of people in this world that we should feel sorry for . She is not one of them.

  3. President Obama announced on Monday that he would, in the following months, be taking action without the approval of Congress to address illegal immigration and immigration reform issues.

I suspect Obama will require the border guards to wear blindfolds and then report how many illegals they saw.

Problem solved. No illegals seen crossing the border.

That Obama is quite the problem solver :goofy:

    2012 vote: 9% for Obama | 81% for Romney

Business Conservatives generally are traditional small-government Republicans. Overwhelming percentages think that government is almost always wasteful and it does too much better left to businesses and individuals. Business Conservatives differ from Steadfast Conservatives in their positive attitudes toward business and in their strong support for Wall Street in particular. Most think that immigrants strengthen the country and take a positive view of U.S. global involvement. As a group, they are less socially conservative than Steadfast Conser

  5. For the record I did not report you.. I've never reported anyone here..

I agree with your own personal policy. This is not grade school and there is no need for rats or tattle- tails. If someone is "mean" to me I either respond or just let them have their say. There are to many people, from to many countries, with to many differing veiwpoints on to many topics that it is pointless to "rat" people out who share opposing opinions. :ranting:

  6. Will the child be brought up worshiping the faith that killed her mother?

As long as the child is not raised Islamic, the child should be allowed to live.

That is why I post the warning to 'discuss the post, not the poster'

I agree. This should be a "sticky"
