Hi all, WAC1725 here. I received the extension "notification" letter last week, today I received an approval letter! My case status was not updated, nor did I receive any type of email / text. I'll update my timeline when the actual card arrives!

Wow that is fantastic! I am still waiting for my biometrics letter or a letter saying that they don't need it like you received. Silly though, they sent you letter sayiing they can use your previous fingerprints then they sent you a biometric appointment letter?? 

Hello all, just an update for those still waiting for their biometrics notice. I received a letter today stating "This notice informs you that USCIS is able to reuse your previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics data. USCIS will run the same security checks and use your biometrics data as in the past, however, it is not necessary for you to appear at a USCIS application support center for a biometrics appointment. The biometrics fee will not be refunded."

I guess this worked out, would've been great if they sent something earlier! The biometrics data USCIS has on file is over 2.5 years old (at least I look nice in the photo they have!).

What You Can Do
* Ensure that we have your current mailing address;
* Verify that you are registered to receive mail at the address you provide to us;
* Follow any instructions in the notice;
* Respond to the notice by the response deadline; and
* Submit any requested information and the original notice with your response.

Reschedule an Appointment
If you missed your biometric appointment or need to reschedule, please follow instructions on the biometric notice to reschedule your appointment. Please note that:

* You must submit a request for rescheduling within 87 days of the date of your appointment;
* You must include the original fingerprint appointment notice; and
* We will not consider requests submitted after 87 days.

Definitely try it!! The main  - to be transferred to a Tier 2, who has a real access to your case and can see what's going on..

NO. It is not okay to go to the US on a tourist visa with the intent to marry. That is visa fraud.
OP, I suspect the easiest would be for him to go visit you, spend some time together and gather evidence of ongoing relationship (boarding passes, reciepts, photos etc) and then file for a fiance visa (K1). I am not familiar with how hard it is for people from the Philippines to be able to go visit the US otherwise you could come and visit as well. Meeting is one of the requirements for the K1 visa and it's also good for the two of you as well to actually meet in person and spend time with each other.

Not only is the current Administration totally incompetent it appears most of the major players in many of our public service offices are clueless also. In China the CDC director would be fired and possibly executed if it was decided he knowingly placed the public at risk of such a deadly disease. Maybe after the mid-term elections the administration will allow the flights from West Africa to be banned with the exception of military flights carrying aid workers and supplies to that area. It is sad that the entire population of the United States has been placed at risk of contracting a deadly virus just so the Administration can maintain their " Open Borders " policy in an attempt to hold onto the Hispanic vote!

We just got approved at the embassy! Flights booked and POE is October 22nd and wedding is October 30th! I'm soooo excited! Thanks to everyone on here for all your help, it really made things easier. Especially Tina and Johan, because we really knew what to expect for the interview from all you shared with us.

Hey when does this.new.process take effect is it now. I'm still reading about people saying that they have to wait 60 days for each packet to be sent. Can u post the link with this new information I can't find.it.

Don't wait for Montreal to send you Packet 3, you'll end up waiting an extra 2-3 weeks if you don't just send it in yourself! As soon as you have a case number from the NVC start your DS-160, and when your CEAC status says "Ready", submit Packet 3 to Montreal in an email, here are the instructions: Montreal K-1 Packet 3. When you email Montreal let them know you'd like to receive Packet 4 in an email, sometimes they even reply back with Packet 4 the same day.

VERY happy to report that Andre's Visa was issued today!!! 2 months and 1 day post interview and what seems like a million hoops to jump through! LOL We are SO happy!!!!

I just wanted to thank you, you majesty King Obama, for your DACA amnesty, put into place completely in defiance of the US Congress and Constitution. Although I doubt you care, in addition to the 7 months at the USCIS I had to endure without my wife, I am now coming to find out that the National Visa Center has extended the wait time for every piece of paper they process from 30 to 60 days as a result of the backlog created by your brazenly illegal amnesty polices. I really appreciate all the help you've given to people who have no legal right to be in this country at the expense of people patiently waiting in line to come here the right and legal way. I especially appreciate the fact that I will pass my first wedding anniversary next month alone and without my wife. That's hope and change I can really believe in, because unlike your empty promises to "fix the immigration system for people playing by the rules" I am sure this will come to pass.





In closing I would just like to say that I cannot wait to vote straight Republican in November (and I say this as a former OFA Deputy Field Organizer in Florida)and even to help the Republicans here in Virginia organize and get out the vote, in order to do my small part to further ruin the last years of your useless Presidency, just as you have ruined my life and shattered my marriage.

While definitely possible, USCIS some people on VJ frown upon doing AOS while on a tourist visa or VWP, they usually consider it fraud.
