My mothers case was approved today! Woke up in the morning and saw an email saying something like: USCIS have take action on your case...Logged in and saw that it was approved. Nice!

Anyways, if your local office is Chicago, IL the average time from NOA to Interview is/was 210-220 days. So, I guess you can expect your interview to be sometime in March.
If you local filed office is Montgomery, AL the wait time is approximately 280-300 days. In this case you should expect your interview to be scheduled for May-June 2019.

My journey is finally over, I was Naturalized just this morning! My boyfriend, his parents, his best friend and his wife, my "adoptive parents" (all 4 of them), a couple of other friends of mine and my best friend were all in attendance.

There was a line out the door, so if you're intending to get "good seats", @JonnyO, get there early. We got there at 9am, and already the line was out the door. 50 of us were being Naturalized from 17 different countries. I was the only one from Singapore. Half the congregation were from Mexico. They did a little Q&A session before the ceremony and once all of us arrived, they played a video for us, talked to us for a bit, had us stand when our countries were named, read a letter from the Secretary of Homeland Security, played a video of the President welcoming us as citizens to the US, gave us our certificates, and then we were golden.

They also gave us the opportunity to vote on the spot, so naturally, I did.

It was a great experience, but I'm glad it's all done. Now it's YOUR turn!

Wassup guys! I just logged in to old uscis case status web-site and found an interesting surprise. The case status said that interview was scheduled today. BUT...For some reason I didn't receive any email/text notification even though I did set it up and used to work just fine in the past. And the other uscis web-site where I initially filed my N-400 shows no updates whatsoever. 
 

 

Wow we already have one US citizen here! Congratulations PoohBear72. Ironically, you and I, we filed on the same day, but I have yet to receive an interview letter. What a difference. I guess this is the price that I have to pay for living in a beautiful Golden State, haha.

I know this estimate is a pure bs, so I decided to create my own, more realistic one. So I found 5 the most recent N-400 filers from my local USCIS field office and calculated the time from NOA to actual interview date. 
 
Here are the number of days in chronological order: 100, 106, 102, 109 and 105 days. So on average, N-400 filer at San Bernardino, CA office waits 104,4 days from the day he/she sends his/her application to the day of the actual interview.
 
Next, I added 105 days to the date of my NOA and came up with the following date: December 3, 2018 . So I am expecting my interview to be sometime in the beginning of December.

Just completed my "early walk-in" biometrics at Salinas, CA ASC. Was in n out in like 15 minutes. There was literally no one there besides me. Very nice and friendly personnel. Only a photo and 4 fingers of my right hand were taken. I asked if this early walk-in will speed up my interview date and the answer was no. Well, we shall see. 

I finally received some updates on my case. On Friday Sep1 at 11:00 pm PST I received a notification that biometrics appointment was scheduled and this morning when I checked the web-site I found a copy of the appointment letter online. The actual appointment date is 3 weeks from now. Will try to do an early walk in 350 miles away from my local ASC. Wish me luck
