    jsumner86 got a reaction from Soloenta in The Checklist Thread
    I'll start off for you .
    We received a checklist for a w2! (AOS Package). The W2 form didn't exist since my wife worked in the UK! (We have P60's, which she included). She also had a note saying the UK did not do w2's, only P60's.
    We were able to speak to a supervisor, who said they would remove the checklist- It took 31 business days to remove their error.

    You can get married in the US or UK, you need to have your Fiancee sponsor you if you wish to move to the UK, he seemingly is currently unable to do that and that seems your problem.

    There is no 3 month visa, B2's are usually but not guaranteed to be admitted for up to 6 months.
    Remember it is a visitor visa, there is no shack up with my boyfriend visa.

    I've never seen an issue with it before- that's your job as of now, while you're filling out the form. Knowing NVC they will take forever to review it (unlikely), and things change sine you submit it. If you feel it's necessary, you can tell them at interview that you are no longer employed at that company.. They probably won't even care about it to be honest. Haven't seen any issues reported about this.

    Expect problems, because on the surface it looks like you married an American in order to evade immigration law and facilitate your children's father's entrance into the US.
    Does your current husband know you are planning to divorce him? In order to naturalise under the three year rule you must be living together with your US citizen spouse in a true marital union.

    The moderator moved your post to the right location of what topic your post should be in. No link to send you about other visas.
    Are you actually adjusting status in the states, going through all just USCIS? Or are you actually at NVC?
    EDIT: Actually, see your timeline now.. guessing you are at NVC. You're not the only one getting messed about here.. go to the NVC filer thread and just look for updates and etc, -> Link is there. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/512491-nvc-filers-september-2014/

    Hi nanana,
    Nice to see you finally in the NVC thread!
    Just a couple questions before I can answer this fully! (I may have the answer -
    Has your husband been already offered the job? If so- has the employer told them what their earnings would be yearly? What is his start date that he will be working for this new job now?

    Most likely need to wait. They will still need to wait for a case number to be assigned before they can approve it, and send it to the embassy. (From What I read from others!).

    Welcome to the NVC thread! Few pointers- read the Wiki of course, make sure you have all relevant documents for your embassy. (Some embassies ask for more things than others!). You can find exactly what documents your embassy is looking for on the wiki, there is a link as well .
    AOS package is the one that gets checklist a lot! Few common reasons!:
    -People put the wrong amount for total income. Total income should be line 22, or total income (NOT ADJUSTED!) Only use adjusted if its a 1040EZ for the tax return.
    -People put the wrong amount of people someone sponsors for. If it's just you and your husband, and your son, it would be 3!
    -People who file the 1864EZ that left place of residence blank, instead of N/A received a checklist for that too..
    -Make sure you have your tax transcripts for the last three years, or the 1040's with the w-2 and relevant 1099 (if you have any). Don't leave any out because they will checklist you for it. If you haven't filed a tax return one year because you weren't required to, write a note in the cover letter, and a sticky note saying why, and that should suffice.
    My best advice is to read the 1864 instructions! Print them out, and go bit by bit. Have them side by side with a practice run for your I864, look it over a bit few times before you send it off to catch any mistakes. (This help tremendously!!!)
    Other than that, Good luck and welcome to the thread once again

    And wow, that's an awesome panel physician! Most would just administer the vaccines at the medical and charge up the behind to get them done.
    You're right, so no hitting
    To the OP: that question is asking for CURRENT annual income, so, it's not based on how much is left of the year, but rather how much they're currently earning per year. I know it may be a little tricky to understand, but just calculate how much he'll be earning per week, then multiple by 52.

    Welcome to another monthly thread for those going through NVC!
    This thread is strictly for questions and progress. If you want to rant about this ridiculous process, please do so in this side thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/513879-the-nvc-moral-supportranting-thread/
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Before posting questions, please read the wiki I wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites! For up to date time frames, you can view my spreadsheet here. If you would like to be added (or have your entry updated), then please fill out the request form here (please read the instructions at the top carefully, especially the update part as people aren't filling the form out correctly [they're filling out information not needed]). And before submitting the form, please make sure the consulate on your timeline isn't the default Armenia. I will NOT add/update you if it is. Also make sure your timeline is completely filled out up to the point where you are. If you want to see a visual of the NVC process, please view my flowchart here. I will be much less active in answering posts in these monthly threads, so don't bother asking me questions directly and please don't send me PMs with questions. If you send me a PM with a question that can be posted here, I will NOT reply. Just post them here for everyone to see and someone will come along to answer. Remember to be patient (re: just post once and wait) And if for whatever reason, you can't find the answer, try searching both on this website and on Google. It's amazing what you can find if you search
    If you're wondering about time frames, I've got a spreadsheet available for a reason And if that doesn't help, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process
    And once you've got a case complete, please join Dwheels's case complete/interview thread (currently October), here.
    New spreadsheet layout!! Please, please read this paragraph carefully before filling out the request form. Do NOT fill it out if you do not plan on staying on top of your case. Some of the dates require you to call NVC and find things out as soon as possible. If you are not going to do this, do NOT bother to fill my form out. This spreadsheet isn't for those that just want to get on my spreadsheet. It's for those that want to help in calculating average time frames for each step. This includes having the correct consulate listed in your timeline (not Armenia!) and having your timeline completely up to date. I'll still keep the "lighter" version available until the end of the year (or sooner, depending how things go), which you can find the request form for that above. Also, please take the time to fill out my form carefully. Pretend it's one of the immigration forms Because this time around, I will be issuing my own sort of checklist to people who incorrectly fill my form out. Trust me, you don't want to get one So, to summarize, only fill out the new request form if you're serious. All others need not apply. This new spreadsheet layout can still be found on the same link as the old one, it's just the second tab on the bottom, labelled 'New 2014'. If you are on the old layout (whether you have a case complete or not), you can still transfer to the new one if you wish. Just fill out the request form and choose 'Add'. I'll happily switch you over. Just make sure to fill out all the new dates! The link to my new request form can be found here.
    Thank you so much for saying this!. I have said this before, but I was bullied for making this comment. Who really has time to sit and and read all of these pages everyday? I actually have a life outside of VJ...
    Also, I am so tired of hearing people state that people need to actually READ the comments. Please take into consideration that people deal with this process differently. Some people may actually be reading, but need help understanding what is being said.
    Hi guys, congrats to everyone who got CC! I want to share my short update. My wife had interview on 8th August, visa was approved and we got passport in about 8 business days.
    I accompanied my wife for visa interview and I think it was useful to go together.Specially if you are in one of those countries where additional processing is a concern, I think it is definitely a plus to go together to make a stronger case. We came to US just this past weekend!
    Another thing that has changed since my last travel was US immigration now takes place at the departing airports in mideast - in my case at Abu dabhi airport. I didn't know that and I was late to go the gate but thankfully flight was late and they processed it. This just happens at the departing gate, no need to go looking for US immigration. So the flight to New York was domestic flight!
    I hope all this helps! Best of luck!
    Although yes, you can just have the vaccines done over again, if it were me, I'd rather take one titer test (so one shot) instead of taking a few shots. Although if the titer test comes back with no results, then it'd be a waste of a shot, sooo Up to the OP though, was just giving one possible answer
    P.S. I do NOT like shots whatsoever. It may be teeny tiny to you, but it's a day full of anxiety and not feeling well for me
    jsumner86 reacted to Nich-Nick in I-130 filing for DCF and contacting the London Embassy
    If you have legal residence in the UK, then you can file the petition with the USCIS office in London, instead of the Chicago Lockbox. The USCIS in London isn't "the embassy" which is part of the Department of State...different government agencies that have office space at the same location. You would get petition approval from USCIS, then get the visa from the Dept of State via the "embassy" or consulate. They are like neighbors who don't talk to each other or know each other's business. You deal with each separately in turn.
    If you qualify as a UK resident, your instructions start here http://london.usembassy.gov/dhs/uscis/i130filing.html
    And this is a well written guide by a VJ member about DCF London which will explain the whole process to you http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/DCF_London
    Our AOS fee has turned to N/A! Last scan date was July 22nd for an AOS checklist (the lawyer either forgot to include my 2013 tax documents or NVC lost them).
    I'm in the middle of the boonies in Scotland right now, with poor to zero internet and phone coverage, so I probably won't be able to call NVC until tomorrow night at the earliest. I'm relieved though I'm not sure we're in time for an October interview.
    Best of luck to everyone still waiting on their case complete. It looks like NVC is back to working 1 scan day every business day! Everyone on this thread has been super helpful. Thank you all and a special shoutout to Saylin for her work on the NVC Wiki! If you're new on the thread, please take the time to read the whole thing. I only wish I had found this amazing site and thread before I hired an attorney!
