I am guessing until you've been a resident in your location 3 months? How does on prove that? New Drivers License I suppose?

If we gave special consideration to everyone carrying a future American citizen, then every couple would get pregnant to expedite their cases. Hey honey, it will take a year for you to get a visa, but if we get pregnant, your case can be expedited. How fair is that to those who already have US citizen children and don't plan on more kids, or to those who can't have kids?
Also, if we start considering "future American citizens," then how can anyone have an abortion? Isn't that the killing of a future American citizen? The reason the US government does not recognize any rights to a "future American citizen" is that not all of them will be born. The US is not prepared to give any rights to a fetus or someone carrying a fetus. A fetus is not necessarily a "future American citizen."

This is a useful tidbit of information. Ask for a military expedite. A regular pregnancy would probably not expedite your case, but moving due to a US military reassignment is a cause to expedite your case.

The context of the article you linked to not only has nothing to do with the discussion. Nobody is claiming they couldn't meet because the USC couldn't get a visa to visit Pakistan. They didn't meet because neither the USC or the Pakistani made any effort whatsoever to do so, in Pakistan or elsewhere.

Does your fiance/husband not have health insurance?
Why not just look into getting a job with good insurance or upgrading his current insurance?
I was scared of the US system when I first moved here from Canada, and also concerned with the cost of healthcare and having a baby, but honestly, the healthcare in the US is top notch if you have a decent health insurance. Doesn't even have to be the best insurance. I have one of the lowest plans and the Dr.s in my network are awesome.
You say you're looking to save money, but by the time you buy plane tickets back and forth, pay all your K1 and AOS fees for immigration and then apply again for the CR-1, you might as well just look into better health insurance, pay the 20% or 10% that isn't always covered, or pay out of pocket (usually Dr.'s give you a break).
Just my two cents though. Why bother even going through with the K1 if you are just going to move back after a year? Why not just have your fiance move there and then file for a visa after you have a baby?
    Good luck with everything!

It looks like the first card was canceled. The IB6 designation is for VAWA. I believe that you would have to wait until 2015 in order to file.
If you try to file this year you may be wasting the filing fee. My suggestion for you is to make an infopass appointment and ask your questions.

If you haven't yet you should join the Jan 2012 citizenship filers thread here:
    Jan 12 n400 filers thread
You can add your name and compare your times to others that filed in Jan. If you're not sure how to edit the timeline just post your info and ask someone to add you to the timeline.
    Good luck!

I don't get where people get such strange ideas. Lots of couples in Pakistan are marrying their first cousins. Did they REALLY never meet their bride or groom in person before marriage? Do these people think USCIS adjudicators know NOTHING about Pakistan or Islam?
They tried. Their excuses were lame. Now, it's time to do it right or not do it at all.

As a GC holder you must maintain US residency in order to keep the GC. What is US residency? Typically it is remaining in the US for more than 182 days out of a 365 day period. If you remain outside the US for more than 6 months but less than one year, it can be used as evidence to deny your re-entry into the US--you do not need to file any paper work if staying outside the US for less than one year. You need to have ties to the US like family, residence you expect to return to, file taxes, etc. You might want to look at the USCIS website to see what they say on this issue. Come back for a few days and then leaving again is more suspecious than just remaining outside the US for the entire time you require. Remember that the CBP person can deny your re-entry if they think you are not maintaining your residency in the US.
Determine how long you will be outside the US and file the appropiate paperwork before you leave in order to keep your GC. Otherwise you risk loosing the GC and will have to start all over again.
    Good luck,
    Dave

many k1 veterans have survived time apart. i think our longest was 1.5 years. that was utterly wretched. but that was 5 years ago. now hes sleeping on the couch just a few feet away from me. much nicer.

Travel with your marriage certificate. That should be all you need to show the reason for the difference in names.

I say "I would say.." and I still believe they will. My reasons are based on years of being on this site and what I've read. You're right it's hard to give specific advice because the OP's timeline is doesn't exist and their profile isn't set up. It's impossible to do a timeline search to verify without their info (they could easily do a timeline search if their timeline was complete).
OP and update your profile. You will find it a LOT easier to search for people like you if you have all your info completed and this site is DIY and about people sharing their experiences and timelines to guide other people (just like you're asking for assistance now, people will use your timeline info and profile info to help themselves).

I will have to echo the previous poster that said that this daughter in question is an adult, not a minor child. I moved to the US when I was eighteen and that was a decision I took as an only child of my parents. Do I miss them? Of course. Do I wish they were closer to me? Sure. But I don't plot how to get my parents to the US on a daily basis. Life takes us all in different ways.
If this is going to be an issue, then you need to look into moving to the Philippines, rather than looking for an illegal route. Have you considered that?

A 24 years-old is not a little girl, it's a grown up woman and the USA is not Disney land where anyone can just bring their kids, friends, cousins, in-laws as they please.
If she feels bad about leaving her daughter behind, then you can always move back to Philippines.

well you can alway move over there and marry her and live in the Philippines.
never have her come ilegally to the country, she would have no future here.
she can try a student visa or if she is a professional, some company could sponsor her.

Move out and do not have any face to face contact without another party present.
If you truly are worried about a "scene" when retrieving items contact your local police or sheriff to see if you can have an officer there when you enter the home.

I totally agree with the comfort thing.
I also don't think another column should be added... there's a ton of information we could TECHNICALLY put up there but it's really not necessary. If somebody wants to put EVERY little detail out there, they can do it in there signature/timeline.
