Should I apply for my parents to immigrate to the USA as a green card holder or wait to become a citizen?

Hi all,
My husband had an interview last month and was told he was approved and everything was okay, they even kept his passport. We got an email for a 2nd interview and CEAC says refused, I am so confused. My husband's medical expires in September, he needs his passport to do another medical. Any advice?

Hi All,
Do they require that the medical CD be shown during POE? My husband had an interview and the security there opened the CD package. Will it be okay since its been opened? Or should we try to get another one?

Hi all,
I wanted to double check if my husband needs to obtain a PCC from Kuwait. He was living and working there for more than 10 years, but left his job there in 2013. I read that he still needs a PCC but also that he can't get one unless he resides in Kuwait. Can someone please help me out, I am so confused.

Hello, Was wondering did you get any update?
thanks
Yes. It seems like my case was sent to NBC. Not entirely sure why becasue TSC seems to be doing fine. But... apparently transfer due to workload???
I guess im supposed to expect the same processing time as where it originally was filed 😶🤔

We got an email from US Embassy and we got confused about the I-864. On the email they said bring the copy of I-864 on interview date but my husband submitted the I-864ez, the shorter version of I-864 which also allowed if you are a qualified petitioner. We have emailed and called the embassy for clarification but they only replied to bring whats in the list. Do we have to furnish again the I-864 even though the NVC approved the I-864ez already?
Pease attached screenshot of the email.
Thanks in advance
Yes I believe they want you to take a hard copy to the interview also.

seems like the processing just hit a roadblock ... 😕 no cases since 29th
Yeah I also saw that my case was transferred. Did anyone else get this?

Yeah you can't really do much during AP but wait. My husband's case was in AP too. Reaching out to congressman doesn't really help, or at least not me. I got a response that my case was being worked on and they couldn't help me. Also as others have said, unfortunately Pakistan is one of those countries like mine where usually men go through AP.
-
Yeah, I am sorry you are going through this. But all you can do it wait. What I ended up doing was filing a FOIA to see if I could find anything to help me reapply. I am still not sure why my case was labeled as fraud but hope that this round is better.
It is definitely a long and hard journey when something like this happens, hope it turns out okay for you. Keep trying and don't think about why others are approved and why yours is taking so long.

My Husband Is in Lagos Nigeria, have already had interview January ,2018 we have been in administrative process and now they sent our case Back to USCIS. For what reason they have not told us they it is being reviewed it's been there for 6 months and it's with an officer but don't no when it will finish just for us to wait it's at Potomac ..this been 2years we bee going through this wow I miss my husband.anyone going through this or have any suggestions
My case was in AP and then sent back to Uscis previously. For me, I was sent an intent to revoke and had a last chance to send in any new evidence. After that, my case got revoked. I went though this whole process for maybe 4 years and just reapplied again this year.

Country for i130 spouse beneficiary shouldn't be a factor .. (well hopefully not)
something that sure can help is calling uscis on repeat, sending email just somehow compel them to bring your file up a bit.
Does calling them help? I did do that the last time I filed but not this time, it didn't seem to help.

Hello guys,
I got married to my spouse in December 2016 and filed for a CR1 petition. Everything went smoothly and quickly until his visa interview day in February 2018. After replying all the questions, the officer kept all the documentation without the passport. He was given a paper where it said we will be contacted in 30 days. He was called to come in for a second interview and on that same day I was interviewed too on the phone. They contacted other family members for more verification. In September 2018 he was called by the consulate and all his original documents was returned to him. They also told him I will be contacted by the NVC or USCIS. Until now, I did not receive any mail from these offices, I called they NVC and I was informed that our file was returned to them, which they transferred to the USCIS in October 2018.
Please, have anyone here gone through this kind of scenario?
What can I do at this point? Would a lawyer help?
Please I need your advises.
Thank you all !
Aww I am sorry this happened to you. It is very hard to deal with. There are others in the same boat, hope that helps.
My husband was also denied a visa and it was a very long journey. I also did not get a reason for why it was denied at the time. I filed a FOIA with a lawyer and it isn't clear but it seems that they suspect fraud in my case also.
Bangladesh is a high fraud country but also when I look back I did have some inconsistencies, or maybe an "abnormal" timeline which were probably red flags to USCIS. Did you have any inconsistencies? Maybe something that seems confusing on paper? Did you use a lawyer?
For me, I did not use a lawyer the first time and it was a big mistake. I could not afford one at the time and it cost me so much pain and suffering because I made stupid mistakes. Also since then I have visited my husband many times, whereas I couldn't before due to family obligations. Things like that I could not explain as to why there were gaps.
Seems to me like USCIS wants a straightforwards story, you have a ceremony, get married, hopefully your spouse is "of the norm", you have all paperwork...I have seen others with these things who get their visa, some things are overseen but others become red flags to them. And it hurts that you can't do much. But, keep trying.
That's what I keep telling myself, that one day I will be with my husband and we will be together, thats how strong our love for one another is.
Hope I helped!

Hi,
My husbands case was also in AP for a while before it was denied. There is nothing you can do during this time. I had also reached out to my senators/congressman, you should be able to find a form for your reason in their website. Although most likely they will tell you what you already know, or send you a letter saying they are unable to asist you.

They are? I just checked it says September still. Where did you see this?

Do you guys know if there is a way to create or add more to a timeline? I had applied a while back but was denied, but sent in application anew again in April. I wanted to keep my old dates along with the current ones. Thanks in advance!

I have to send in more evidence to USCIS and I do not have much. I have receipts of when my husband sent me money but his name is spelled wrong. He used to live in the middle east and when he sent me money, the person at the counter would look at his all Arabic ID card and sound out his name to put it on the form. Only one letter is different. Should I send them in as evidence with an explanation? I am not sure if it will help or create more problems.

Hi everyone,
I finally received my NOIR letter and am accumulating evidence to send to the USCIS again. I am unsure if I have to send copies or originals this time. Does anyone know?
Thanks
Need Money Transaction as Proof?
in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America

Hello,
Not sure if this is a dumb question, but would we need documentation of sending money back home to bring parents to the USA? I know it was needed when I applied for my husband, not sure if it would be needed for parents.
Thanks!
