Our journey is finally done.  Guess in many respects, all of us in this discussion were pioneers pursuing new law that was never available for other couples before us.  Hopefully, people in our situation will be able to review this thread and sustain the courage needed to follow their life dreams.  Hope all of you are doing well in your lives.  Since there hasn't been much activity on this forum, I imagine everyone has completed their journeys. Best Wishes Always.

and in a few days it will be changed to "ISSUED" and will be ready for delivery/pickup. This whole thing about Admin Processing has got a lot of people concerned. They have to print the visa, and then it probably goes to somone else to be affixed to the passport and then it goes to the other person to be prepared for mailing, and then to the mail room and on and on and on. There is no better title to call this process other than Admin Processing. Unfortunately, it shares its name with the other Admin Processing, the ugly one, and it really sets off people. Think only that it will be in your hands very soon.

Today we received notice that our new card (Removal of Conditions 10 Year Green Card) was in production. No interview required. No additional requests. It was a May to November bromance with immigration. Here's your card. Best of luck to all out there.

Look for what is "right" rather than digging for wrongness. We went into AP right after the approval. It was there for a few days and then Shazam! Issued. Worry about the things over which you have control. Not, those you cannot wrangle. It will work out well.

HI. Your employment status there will have no bearing on the visa decision. My partner was not working when we filed and interviewed. It wasn't even a question anyone cared. They only cared that I was able to provide financial support while we both were living in the US.
14 months? That sounds like enough time to decide if you want to marry or not. There are still people out there using mail-order brides who only meet in order to satisfy the requirement. If you've met 14 months ago and you feel it's what you both want then no one should have anything to say.......
As far as the interview.....know the information in the packet .......read it over and over again. If they ask a question that isn't answered in the visa packet they wont' know if you answered correctly or not.....just know the packet information and know why you love your partner.

Divorce or not is your decision.....but soldiers are required by Army regulation to provide for their dependents. Army right? I would recommed you contact the nearest Army Community Service (programs designed to support Soldier Families) and speak with the Family Advocacy Program manager or case worker. These are the people on the inside that know what you can get and how to force the hand of the company commder to make it happen. How do i know? Once upon a time in the not so distant past this was my job. Google the nearest military installation to you. Contact the Family Support services, in the Army the correct title is Army Community Services and speak with the FAmily Advocacy office. They will help you.....as long as you have your ducks in a row and as long as you keep it honest with them. If they suspect you are pulling strings to get something you are not entitled to, then you will be shut out. Circumstances are different for each family so I won't go into telling you what you are entitled to, the Army personnel will do that. They will also be able to provide you with the other resources that are availabe to families in your/similar situations. best of luck.
