Hubby came to live the American Dream so he can marry his childhood sweetheart, I gladly came to join because home is where he is. It's a better life here compared to our home country.

Cairo people, look at it this way...mango season is in full swing and can be enjoyed to the fullest without a pesky interview or international travel plans getting in the way (if you don't like mangoes, don't talk to me). Take a trip to Ismailia and get your fill of butter (zebda) mangoes. You won't find any mango as sweet or delicious in the US.

NVC you really jacking up the spreadsheet. Man so many empty slots for interviews. Why you doing this to my peeps. So not cool.
Sorry. Ya'll know if I was running NVC you would hve slots done. Heck I feel once you have Case Complete the calendar is open and you should be allowed to schedule your own dang date. But what do I know right.

OP, often seeing is believing. Consider compiling a budget, with income and expense items. Include current and anticipated expenses. Send it to her, with the figures perhaps converted into her country's currency. If she doesn't grasp the significance herself, she will surely show it to others who will go over it with her and explain it.
Early in our marriage, Mrs. T-B. asked to see a list of expenses. I compiled one for 4 months and showed it to her. She said, "I've never seen amounts that big." Perhaps your lady's eyes will bug out when she sees yours.

To the OP --
1) Where does your wife live ?? Divorce laws are very different state to state, so in some states it will be easy, and in some more difficult.
2) This is a big country and I can assure you that while you right now want to hide your face, no one here is going to care about what happened with your wife, but you won't really see that until you are here.
And then I think you will be surprised how quickly you adapt to a new culture. You can stand tall and be proud of who you are, and frankly no one will care about what happened with your wife -- but you won't know that feeling of total freedom until you are here.
And one thing you are not is screwed !! Every possible opportunity lies before you -- just reach out your hand and grasp your new life -- it all starts when you get off the plane and get the stamp in your passport -- it will be great -- actually better than great

Good luck with the rest of the process. NVC reviews documents 30 days or less from document submission.

this is going to sound a little harsh, so i apologize in advance. It proves that you're pregnant. It doesnt mean the peitioner is the father etc... You can send it, but it's useless information about your relationship (like ring reciepts etc.. ) Sending quality evidence such as proof you've spent quanties of time together (photos especially with family, boarding passes, etc..); evidence that you spend regular time talking and communicating, and finally send along any financial co-mingling if possible or naming of each other as beneficiaries on documents. An ultrasound has no weight, rather like affidavits. I do wish you the best of luck and I am truly sorry if it sounds mean. I am not trying to omply anything, just trying to explain the view of an outside person who likely doesnt care about you, or me, or anyone on this board. I do hope you have a safe and wonderful pregnancy.

Regardless of category, NVC only schedules interviews at a set time, that was the entire intent and it was very useful information.

What makes me so mad about all this is why should you or any of you be nervous and scared when you know your marriage and relationships are real, legit and above board!! Just makes me made when I see good people like all you all nervous and worried and why are we worried because we have to be judged YES judged by some human emotion Its a crying shame .
I am trying my damnest to fight. A CO is suppose to deny only when their is documented evidence of fraud or inadmissibility. Not a feeling, not a thought, "not a well seems like". Just pisses me off.

Have to admit haven't seen the spreadsheet look quite like this with such a gap and so many Case Completes. But it looks like NVC is really trying to get cases reviewed faster. Why they don;t have interview assigning open all month I don't know. I can't believe as they say they get just the next month. Why not the next two months start plotting people in.
If I am frustrated of the process I can only imagine how ya'll feel waiting. But soon that P4 will come and you will forget all this.

I really do not understand their processes, interview scheduling just started, let's hope early September fliers would get interview dates for May this week before we conclude on the next VB.

That's the spirit dearies!! Feb Scans are already rolling.. right now they are just mixing January and February Scans together. And it depends on whose desk your file lands during distribution. Some of those reps spend hours scrutinizing files looking for mistakes while others just correct for you the small box you missed to check.. Lolest.. I believe in the saying that "when you see your neighbour been blessed, know that God is in the neighbourhood and prepare to receive your own blessing!!" #HopesAlive

it will happen, nvc is just pushing them out....january scan dates are nearing the end of the month.
let us hopefuls remain optimistic and enjoy being positive.

Likewise married on Feb 23rd last year, last seen her in person on Mar 17th last year. You are correct that most people can't fathom the situation. I would go further. Well meaning friends and family make it worse with their questions: "How can it possibly take a year?" as if we're doing something incorrectly in pursuing the visa, or my favorite "You haven't seen her in a year???" making both of us feel like . And only slightly worse: "You have the patience of an angel"... I guess they never see or hear me scream into the void in frustration, alone in my apartment.Visiting her costs $2,000+ and uses vacation time that I have very little of. I guess it's not obvious that we'd like to save $ for a down payment on a house, or save vacation time so we can return and visit her family at Christmas, when she'll be missing them badly. So I just smile my sad smile, nod in agreement, and accept their pity.
In the meantime, I have this thread to give me hope that as NVC makes up time on their responses, that I'll end up reuniting with my wife a few days earlier. And I can't express enough thanks to ariani for making this hope possible by tracking the responses.
