isabooo got a reaction from Arnel villarreal in "Married" in a same-sex ceremony but not recognized by PI GVT - ok to go through with K1 (split topic)
Well when I entered on K1 we then had to marry in a state where same sex marriage was recognized or it would not count. (that was right after DOMA was out, but before gay marriage was nation wide). So we had to marry in California then. I would guess that would be something similar. The marriage in the Philippines would just count as a ceremony, nothing legal.

Like other have said you'd probably be better just moving on. He left you, he's with someone else, there is no fraud in that.

He will do "anything" to get a green card and yet it is the other person forcing him into marriage? It sounds like sour grapes on your part. Get a *new* life, woman, move on.

Move on.  You have zero proof of fraud.  USCIS is weary of exes who reports their boyfriends/girlfriends for fraud after a breakup or cheating.

When a newbie posts such a fabulous story, is no one questioning it?  No talk of what visa, no talk except "dating".  You are going to turn a guy into ICE when you were just dating and he left you?

My husband and I are six years into this and I would personally suggest doing things the correct way.  We have never had any issues, nor have we been interviewed and things have gone very smoothly.  A few months to wait, for the fiance visa, is such a short period of time!  I have known two couples that have married either abroad or in the states and then applied and in both cases-they have been separated.  It is rather sad because one of the couples has had two babies from their trips back and forth...the father is stuck in his home country.  Our good friend is an immigration lawyer and she always suggests to do things by the books when it comes to immigration...the littlest things can cause delays throughout the way.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I would think it's related to the passport you will be using. You cant enter as a US citizen so you will have to check what are the rules for entering as a Jamaican

    Hi,
I'm a month ahead of you and Anchorage is my local office as well. We did our biometrics on May 12. We only received the letter, no other form of communication (and we signed up for email and text notifications). Of course our status hasn't changed at all on the site either, so their electronic notifications aren't all that reliable.
I'd recommend calling them and getting your new address into the system ASAP. Things have moved rather quickly for us. We got our interview appointment scheduled the same week we had our biometrics done. Since I'm a month ahead of you, you could very well be looking at a biometrics appointment in just a few weeks with a possible interview a few weeks after that (if it's similar to our timeline).

I don't know of any way to contact them by phone other than contacting the customer service line for USCIS and asking. I know it's a bit of a drive for you, but you might consider scheduling an INFOPASS appointment and going in to speak with them directly. They may even just do your biometrics if they are as slow as they were the day I was there. If your timeline follows mine even somewhat closely, you could have an appointment scheduled for next week and not even know about it.
Here is a link to the details about the Anchorage office. https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.detail&office=ANC&OfficeLocator.office_type=LO&OfficeLocator.statecode=AK On that page you will find information about how to schedule an infopass appointment.
    I'd say your options are:
    1) Schedule an Infopass appointment and make the trip. Hopefully they can do your biometrics then, or at least get you a scheduled time to return
    2) Call the main USCIS line and try to talk to a tier 2 or anyone else besides the person who actually answers if they don't want to tell you if you have an appointment. Even if you find out that you have an appointment, you still won't be able to attend without the letter, so you still may need an INFOPASS appointment to get that.
    3) Wait for the letter to be returned and see if they send another, hoping they don't just take the missed appointment as your dropping the case and them closing your file. I don't know if they'd do that, but it seems too risky for my personal liking.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help
