You are correct. They are still scheduling for June. I do not think even the first round is done.
How and where to check this information?
-
New Delhi, India Embassy website says that : "The immigrant visa appointment schedule is posted for the current month by approximately the 15th of the previous month. "
Right now only available schedule of interviews on website is for May, 2014.
Thus i assume, that they may be scheduling interviews till 14th
.... i got a cc on 2nd, its 8th today, fingers crossed, still have 5 working days to get an interview date before they are done with June.

Did you call to find out about your interview date? Your CC email should be coming by Friday.
Yup, i called them today but still interview date is not assigned
. I don't know if New Delhi guys are still issuing interview dates for June or not. I have seen someone on VJ got 12th June date in New Delhi embassy.
Its not cc mail that i am waiting for (i hope it will reach by Friday) but an interview date. M afraid if i won't get a date by 10th then it may end up in July

Can I send IV packed before filling the DS 260...? if yes can you please guide me which documents I need to submit to NVC by IV packet. Why I am asking now is i am going to send petitioner (USC living in India) I864 paperwork to US(to Joint sponsor), so i will include my IV documents for advance submitting instead of sending from India. and can i include domicile for my petitioner living in foreign country??
Please help on this..
Thanks in advance.
There should not be any issues in sending IV packet before filling DS 260 as NVC guys will review both at the same time only.
I sent below docs in IV packet (i followed both NVC website and saylin's wiki) :
• IV Coversheet (with barcode)• Two (2) passport-size photographs of beneficiary (NVC Case Number, beneficiary’s full name, and date of birth are written on back of both)• Photocopy and Attested Photocopy of the biographic data page and full address page of beneficiary’s passport• Photocopy of page of beneficiary’s passport showing PCC issued for USA• Photocopy and Attested Photocopy of the biographic data page and full address page of beneficiary’s old (cancelled) passport• Original birth certificate of beneficiary (in native language)• Photocopy and Attested Photocopy of original birth certificate of beneficiary (in native language )• Original translation of birth certificate of beneficiary• Photocopy and Attested Photocopy of Original translation of birth certificate of beneficiary• Original marriage certificate• Photocopy and Attested photocopy of original marriage certificate• Original police clearance certificate (INDIA)• Photocopy and Attested Photocopy of original police clearance certificate (INDIA)• Original police clearance certificate (3rd country). This was issued on OLD passport as new passport has been issued recently. (Old passport documents attached).• Photocopy and Attested photocopy of original police clearance certificate (3rd Country) -
Wow... 97 and 18? Not to appear judgmental but that is a really big age gap. I think if we're genuine we should not have too much to worry about. At least I hope that's the case. After all, what do they gain from keeping genuinely married couples apart? Since we do see many fraudulent people on here filing for a 'spouse' I guess they're just being careful, sometimes over careful.
Let's hope and pray for the best. Nothing is impossible with God. You'll do just great at the interview. Don't worry
i think, all of us here on VJ are legal cases (genuinely married) only, so not to worry........ otherwise no one in a fraud case will be so desparate to meet their better halves as we all folks here are
:)

EXACTLY !
some nice tragedy with me is also that, i was in some other country for 1.5 years, and i got PCC from that country last december which their embassy issued on my old passport number (same passport which was valid during my tenure in that country).
Now i have a new passport number, and a pcc from India on the same.
SO like everyone else, i was worried NVC guys should not create a mess again for this, so in packet IV i sent them my old passport copies as well (so that they can co-relate that i have PCC from other country on my old passport number), and then on the cover letter i mentioned that i will produce both passports (old one carries a cancelled stamp now).
Just curious, they should not issue me a checklist for this now...
-
Its not applicable to any passport holder where the prior passport was not issued by a RPO inside the boundaries of india
go figure
don't worry friend... hope all will be okay....
i don't understand these PSK guys.... one of my friend got his pcc without his wife name on the passport....
i doubt what happened with me was that while filling application form for the PCC, i filled marital status as 'married' which is obviously right, that wat those guys noticed and asked me to reissue the same.
if i wud have mentioned myself as single on the form, they might have issued me the same without any other doc, as PCC that you will get no where mentions your marital status, it just says that PCC is issued for USA blah blah.....
But then again, there was a doubt in my mind that CO may ask me that why i don't have my wife's name on passport as its required in India.....
But now that depends upon CO to CO, my friend got his visa approved without his wife name on the passport...
-
My last passport has a US address. Verification must be done by the police prior to re-issuance.
They said it will take 60 days.
My embassy appointment will most likely be for the end of June.
Really dont know what to do
wasn't 'tatkal' scheme applicable to you?
-
Yes sirrrrrr
The PSK MADE ME apply for a reissue because my wife's name was not on the stupid thing.
They said and i quote "if you want sponsorship from wife and PCC, name has to be there"
i went through same process as well...
but while reissuing passport they took just 5 days, as the officer marked it as 'police verfication' not required....
but then while issuing PCC those idiotic guys said now 'police verification' is needed.... so it took 15 more days...
don't worry, if things went smooth, u will get ur passport even after police verification in a months time....
make sure to follow ur police station and as soon as they receive ur verification, go there, give them 500 bucks
:) lol.... and it will be done....
they take most of the time in verification only....
best of luck

So, my wife had her consulate interview this morning.... and was APPROVED!!!!!!! HOOORAY!!!!
Uff da what a relief.
Hang in there all... it does finally happen.
Many congratulations....
Deep bhaisab
You are right.
My problem is that my appointment will be end of june and right now there is no chance of getting a pcc before july - i submitted all documents to the PSK --- two days ago.
so much time in getting a pcc??? did you applied for passport reissue?
-

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Quick question, did you guys send one or two photocopies of passport bio page? And yes, I did read the wiki several times, just asking what people actually did
i took two photocopies, was thinking of sending both, but then they ask for just one photocopy on NVC website also, so there was no point in sending two. Then i though why not to send one attested copy from notary too. Then i sent one photocopy plus one attested photocopy.
I assume NVC will have photocopy machines if they need an extra copy...
I will carry one photocopy to interview.
i did send 4 photographs (though, now a days ppl say that they don't require any). On the back of two i wrote all the things and two were sent clean. I don't mind if they trash two of them.
-
So happy for you and specially that you didn't get a check list.
oh yeah, thank god we didn't get a check list for AOS, even when we had joint sponsor and my wife worked on and off in 2013-2014.
We got that filled from an immigration agent and he charged $150 for it. But i guess its worth when there is no checklist
Also for IV packet, i have submitted all the original docs, no certified copies... just to avoid checklist...fingers crossed.....
-
Yes very definitely a false checklist. Just disregard it. Your case should complete very soon.
Just end up with NVC, they told that they have packet IV with them but they have not opened it till now. So they have asked to disregard the mail.
If i follow our friend from Shri Lanka time line, i am 2 days behind him. so should get something by 1st May.

It's probably a false checklist, I had received the same one after I submitted my DS-260. But call NVC just to make sure.
i called those guys and i was told that AOS has been accepted. They told me that they are aware of the checklist but they are not sure if its false one.
Asking about my case complete, the answer was they can't say anything on that.

If you have not received vaccinations when you were a child (or do not have documents to prove it) you should answer NO. Then explain, that vaccination records not available and will be done during Medical.
Also, it is much better to take the vaccinations in a vaccination clinic or with a family physician before the actual Medicals - much cheaper and you can space it out over several weeks. Then carry this documentation to the Medicals. If you are still missing a few, they can give them during the Medicals.
Many a folks here suggest to get the vaccinations done in a clinic before the medical itself, but to be very frank, i always have a doubt in mind regarding this.
1. If i get the vaccination in a clinic, will they be acceptable (i mean will they be according to US standards). Also, am ready to pay more to the doctor during medicals, but don't want to get extra vaccinations again if the doctor says that its not according to US standards (which they can obviously say, to make money).
2. I am not sure about the exact list of the vaccination to get (don't want to get unwanted ones
).
3. If i get the vaccination from outside and during medicals doctor accepts the same, it may happen that he mentions this in the report and thus, embassy guys will reject it saying that it should be from the hospital they mentioned on the website.

Moreover, one of the VJ member also got the information from NVC agent that they are done with scheduling interviews for June with Mumbai consulate. So i was bit worried to get one in June.
