  1. Like I said before, wording is so vague. Medical expired because it passed 1 year, however vaccines will never expire. USCIS asks people to fill out I-693 for vaccinations because they dont have all vaccines that requires by CDC and their medical exam might be under 1 year. I would recommend to do the whole medical to prevent any problem such receive another RFEs or even deny your application.

Also, I read your signature which states that your husband did fill out I-693 completed vaccines. Why would they need another I-693 for vaccinations only when vaccines will not expire?

  2. I dont remember whether they asked for it but I did obtain it for precautions. I went to Uy Ban Nhan Dan ( People of Committee) to obtain it. They just write you a letter that states you have never married before and then sign/seal it. That is like 10 min. or so and there is no interview whatsoever.

  3. Here is the instruction for I-134 of US Consulate in Vietnam "When applicable, joint sponsor must include all of the documents listed above, plus proof of immigration status such as a photocopy of his/her U.S. Birth Certificate, U.S. Passport, Naturalization Certificate, or Lawful Permanent Resident Card. The officer will make the decision whether a joint sponsor will be accepted at the interview."

You need to read the last sentence, however I have heard few people got approved with joint sponsor for K-1. I would ask his grandfather to be joint sponsor and see how it goes. Best of luck.

  4. Alien Number is in your NOA2 approval notice of your I-129F. DOS number is the case number that NVC assigned for your case? If yes, then why do you need this case number? NVC sent to my husband( USC) a letter when the my file forwarded to Embassy and it has the case number on that letter. I also receive a letter/ package/ interview letter from US Embassy which also has the case number. If you or your husband does not keep those letters, then you can try to ask NVC and I am not sure whether they tell you. Again, why do you need DOS number?

  5. Ok, i will do that. Regarding the drivers license, i will check the link you sent me. I went to dps twice before and that's what they told me, they need green card. but i will try again, maybe il get a more knowledgeable officer lol

and the pics, do i have to send original pics?? (coz that would be a LOT) can i send an album? hahaha! or can i just print them out in a paper?

Am still wondering why all these are being asked.. from what i read somewhere, these stuff are usually provided during interview.. maybe because we're not getting an interview? i dunno.. sigh!

    thank you once again

I would print out the document that shows in the website and if they still deny then ask to speak to Supervisor or Manager. Since the RFE mentions about driver license and I am not sure whether they asked for it or a suggestion. Also, instead of submitting DL, he can submit a state ID which he can get more quicker. I got my state ID in the same day in Florida and of course, it will be different between states. If he cant get ID and no DL, then I would recommend to write a letter to explain why he did not have either DL and state ID.

To be honest, I have no idea how to deal with photos. I have submitted photocopy in my I-129F instead of original.

I would choose few pictures in different events and no more than 15. I guess you can submit the original if you have saved those pictures in memory card for your record.

Again, you need to gather most documents that have both names on as possible as I stated early ( joint tax, bank account, lease/mortgage agreement, pictures, etc.). Most of NPIWs were not asked to prove the marriage. It might be random.

  6. Yes, i will surely make a copy for mine. Ok, i can send them bank statements too (can i cross out our banks account number??) Do i sent the whole bank statements? it's a months worth. or just a page where it shows our name?

No state ID either. He has EAD/AP card. I don't know why but they won't accept EAD card as proof, they want green card, really frustrating

    Thanks Thanks

I would include the whole bank statement where it shows name and transactions. I would include 1 bank statement/3 months.

It looks like to me that you live in Texas, and I just read the requirements for driver license. It is indeed taking EAD or you can use I-94 with the receipt of I-485. You might ask the supervisor who is in charge of that office. There are Texan people in this thread and I am sure they know better than I am. Here is the link related to DMV verification: https://www.dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/documents/verifyingLawfulPresence.pdf

  7. First, Congrats to all who got approved! :dancing:

Second, last march 3, i sent an SR and their reply was my husbands case is still at NBC... so after a month, April 3rd, i sent another SR and their reply was waiting my inquiry to be assigned to a representative and no further updates after that...

So, today we checked our mail, and we received an RFE letter dated April 3rd! I am so disappointed and all! and now my husbands medical and vaccination is expired, well of course since we've been waiting for so long, few more days and it's a year since we submitted the I-485.. that's not out fault! And plus, i have a copy of what i sent to them and i did send all those.. Aarrgh! Am so upset!

Anyway, here's a copy of our letter!

Does my husband have to do the whole medical again?? or just the vaccination record??

What other evidence can we provide?? Pls. Help!

    Thanks!

    1) Request G-325A for your spouse and 2 passport photos. They asked your husband or you? My husband (USC) did not submit G-325A or his photos.

    2) I would include photo of you guys together with friends or family, trips, joint bank account, joint credit cards, health care card, car insurance, driver license for both of you, title of car, car's registrations, lease/ mortgage agreement, any paper that has both names on such as electric, phone bill, etc, and form 1040 or tax transcript, Note that all the documents I say above need to have both names. You might not have everything but try to gather all documents that you can.

    3) Wording is vague. I would recommend to do the whole medical because they did mention your husband medical exam is expired. Vaccinations could not expire.

  8. Firstly, I congrats for anyone who recently got approved.

Secondly, I hope everyone who still waiting will get approval soon such as MovingOn, KVE, Derwood, Shell20, etc.

Lastly, I want to ask a question relating to my driver license(DL). I receive my GC today and my DL will expire soon. Do I need to wait for 1-2 weeks before going to DMV so that USCIS has time to update my GC in their system or just go on Monday? Thanks.

  9. I just got approval! My dream came true finally!!

Got the message for my status update at 4.00 p.m.

Couldn't believe it's exactly the same date of my NOA 04/09/2014.

    Congrats!!

Hi everyone, I had a big rise and fall today. But the first thing that I'd like to share with you guys is that I finally got the approval, about 60 minutes ago.

On April 9, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us.

I had InfoPass interview this morning, talked to USCIS Tier 2 representative for my first time (as suggested by espared12, thank you!), and probably the last time regarding this application, and called the Ombudsman office afterwards. I did not expect this surprise, as none of the above endeavor gave me positive messages.

I'd like to share my experience today with you guys.

    1. InfoPass interview. The conversation with the Immigration Officer lasted for about 7 minutes. When the officer learnt that I was there because of NPIW, she spontaneously said there are plenty of such cases without looking at my case details. She told me to wait for a few more months. I mentioned some inconvenience caused by this unexpected delay such as EAD/AP renewal etc, her response was 'but it is free of charge'. I had to add that I must ask for days off to get these things done. I also asked the whereabouts of my case, she said it is in a field office but does not know which one at first. Then I asked her to check in her system. She mentioned a name that I don't have a clue. Basically, she asked me to wait.

    2. Tier 2 talk. I called USCIS and talked to Tier 1 representative first. He gave me the same status that I can see online, and asked me if I need him to create another SR. I thanked him and asked him to transfer to Tier 2 instead. Tier 2 representative called me back in one hour, but simply told me to wait, and that is the only thing that I can do.

    3. Ombudsman call. I submitted the Ombudsman form on 03-17 and have not heard any updates except for the automatic response on the same day. A lady answered my call. She said no one is looking at my case atm. Their office will contact me when they start to talk to USCIS about my case.

I actually accepted the fact that I have to wait for a few more months and decided not to spend more time on the status. Several hours later, I received two text messages stating Your case MSCXXXXXXXX is now updated. Check "My case Status" at www.uscis.gov

USCIS seems to have started to work on 2014 March and April filers cases. I think people who are still waiting will receive their approvals very soon. Good luck!

    Congrats!!

  10. I'm wondering about this myself, I have biometrics scheduled for April 16 but GC is in the mail and should arrive tomorrow. I called USCIS and the person I spoke to told me to wait until I have the GC in hand before I do anything.

If I recall correctly, there is a member whose status of their EAD/AP renewal had been withdrawn or cancelled or some such thing. I'll keep checking my case status on the renewal to see if USCIS withdraws or cancels it.

My renewal of I-765 and I-131 were terminated before I have GC in hand. They canceled the day before sending my GC because the applicant receives a status or benefit through other means.

  11. Update to mine. Looked at my case status online and the following message is there:

On April 3, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number [Case Number]. Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by June 2, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

    Congrats!!
