I filed on March 20, 2014 and got approved last night 03/31/2015.
Good luck to you all and the hope the remaining of March filer will get GC soon.
-
I am not sure whether Congressman or Ombudsman's help or it is my turn. My status was not changed around 12am EST, but I got a message around 1am EST. We ordered your new card on March 31, 2015. My dream ( yesterday ) becomes true even it is a little quicker than actual date 4/8/2015 and it might be a date of receiving GC instead of approval. I expected to receive RFE for medical exam because my medical is way expired and I missed flu and varicella shots.
Good luck to you all and hope everyone will get GC soon.

I cant remember their name but a member from India I think and Plato 2000 and I am sure there are many others and also Nat and Mark is it? Sorry guys if I dont remember your names or timelines, but we have SO many on this thread! Also Movin On is an April 1st filer I think. So yeah quite a few still waiting!
Perhaps an omen?
I might get stress after all of thinking USCIS everyday. I dont know who that person is.
keep finger crossed for getting your approval by 04/08
Thank you, ForBright. I hope you will get your GC soon. To be honest, I am still not happy at all even I receive the GC.
-
OMG! There has to be an approval for you very soon.
This is a nightmare for me such as that I dreamed someone at USCIS tells me that my application will be approved in 8 days which is 4/8/2015. However, it was just a dream.
-
I hope you're right. Do we have anymore March people waiting that you know of?
I am March filler and I have been waiting 1 year and 11days from the date of filing.
-
It seems to me that USCIS approves NPIWs most of time on Friday.
-
Thanks, Hypnos.
Do we need to schedule another biometrics appointment then?
You will receive biometric appointment letter as well as many of us. However, they only did one of my finger.

Opt. 1: If you choose the I-130 first, then there is no option to change I-485, I-765, and I -131.
Opt. 2: If you choose the I-485 first, then you can include I-765, and I-131 but not I-130.
I would choose Opt.2: then do one more times for I-130.
USC needs to fill out I-865 and send it my mail.

I called her last night and she told me it was ready to be put on the truck for today so hopefully it'll get here, the thing that really bugs me is the fact every dumb, useless SR response comes through fine, when it's the one I'm actually waiting for it ends up with issues
I believe this is USPS's fault not USCIS. I am sure it will arrive today. Good luck.

I have a question....I am getting ready for EAD/AP renewal apps. I have the cover letter, and a checklist.
My question is should I also include the copies of passport pages again, copies of marriage cert again, etc? I just wanted know if send everything like the first time, but include the copies of the issued ead card and the noa1's, and the photos.
I had calculated the renewal date of 4/17/15 however someone on here told me my calculations were wrong, so I recalculated and it said renewal date is 4/7/15 based off of 8/5/15 card expiration date. So I am getting all the paperwork ready now.
Can anyone help me?
I included the same documents as the first time + the 2 photos and the copy of EAD card (no marriage certificate is needed).

I just wanted to JUSTIFY my freaking out, the alert USPS gave me wasn't that they tried to deliver and nobody was in, they legit said my address was wrong and that it's being sent back to the sender, THAT's why I was mad, but fortunately I called and it was just because the Postman stuck it on the wrong route.. the thing that gets me is my expected delivery day was today so really the alert just caused unneeded stress... Ah well I'm just praying it does come today, T minus 9 hours till my mail comes
This was happened to me few months ago. Amazon had my address right but USPS's status was " Non delivery due to wrong address". I went to USPS main office to talk to supervisor and he told me that they accidently put my package in the wrong truck (route). I asked him that can I pick up my package now and he gave it to me.
If you can go to work late tomorrow, then I would recommend you to pick it up.

So how long do people have to wait to hear from the ombudsman? We contacted them and got the automated email confirmation on 3/16 so how long after that are people tending to hear anything? The site said they have 45 days to respond.
I contacted Ombudsman's office on 1/12 and they contacted USCIS on 02/20.
-
Ombudsman contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015, and unfortunately USCIS does not answer the inquiry until now.
I sent an email to ombudsman's office today again to remind them and they told me that they automatically sent a follow up inquiry to USCIS on 03/18/2015. We are both awaiting from USCIS and I can't believe that USCIS is ignoring Ombudsman's inquiry. That could explain why SRs are meaningless to USCIS.
-
Thanks shell20.
Ombudsman might be quick but USCIS is sleeping or on vacation. I just sent an email to Ombudsman few minutes ago to show them how frustrating I am.
-
I see that, but its the time of your noa 1 at the time of contacting the OMBUDSMAN in January and the field office processing times then, not now
. It wouldn't hurt your case to remind the OMBUDSMAN that you are still waiting,(and very patiently) youre now way past processing time and way past the 6 month NPIW letter! Ring them if you can they are only open until 3pm I think each day, I think its from 11am until 3pm. Time for you to receive your GC!
I contacted Ombudsman on 01/12 which my local office was working on 05/24 applications. I sent them an email which I said" This is ridiculous to wait 1 year+ and nothing is done. I have no idea what I could have done to make this process goes smoother and patience is out of my mind because I have waited 1 year+".
-
Well I would be ringing or emailing the OMBUDSMAN as a matter of urgency. I don't know what your local field office processing times were at the time of contacting them. If the USCIS were within there processing times, ie your noa 1, at that point then they wouldn't have been able to do much at that given time. I know for example my local office is only just working on July filers.
My local office processing time is currently working on July,18 2014 which is way past my NOA1 (03/20/2014). One year mark is past couple days ago.
-
I can't see your timeline so I can't comment on that. What I do know however is that the OMBUDSMAN form will ask if you have done a service request firstly. I guess they want you to go down every avenue available before contacting them. What the OMBUDSMAN go on is your local field office processing times, so if you are out of date there is a fair chance they will take up your case on your behalf.
I think the OMBUDSMAN is a great avenue, as it pushes the USCIS in the right direction and it also is sometimes better if a third party gets involved to stop any heated discussions, someone who can take a step back from it all and see if there is a delay with your case.
Interesting, when did you contact he Ombudsman?
Wish it was more positive, I have been thinking of applying for a government job as they seem to have better holidays etc, but no chance of that without the elusive GC. I might add some government jobs not only require a GC, but citizenship too!
I contacted Ombudsman on 01/12/2015 and they contacted USCIS on 02/20/2015. My congressman also contacted USCIS on 02/18/2015 and I have not heard anything either from congressman or ombudsman. It could be that the person who works on my case is sleeping at work.
-
Ombudsman will take 45 days to contact USCIS for me and then it would take 60 days for USCIS to respond the request from Ombudsman. USCIS does not respond Ombudsman's request yet (35 days so far). If you are considering to contact Ombudsman, then you should do it ASAP.

Congratulations!!! Wulcum to Merica!
Update just heard from Steve, "Due to reasons unrelated to our film, shooting will be delayed indefinitely". Where the heck I have heard that statement before?????
Due to camera problems not related to your action. We will anticipate a delay in recording this film. Presently, we anticipate that delay to be indefinitely from the date of this notice. We actually do not know where the camera is, so we will resume to record after locating the camera, ASAP. Please hang in there while we enjoy our coffee every morning. Note that our contract is still valid which means we will hold you as a hostage until we feel it is no longer necessary. Thanks for your patience.

I feel you, I've received a bunch of those already. What's your local office?
It is Jacksonville, FL.
-
I just received another responses which is "Useless Information" from my local office. I am not so sure when I will escape from jail (USCIS).
-
I put all my hopes on Ombudsman because my husband had positive experiences with them in the past such as DMV, SSA. However, I am not sure whether Ombudsman can make USCIS doing their jobs. The only thing that would make me laughing out loud if they tell Ombudsman that it will take 9-12 months from the receipt because my application will be 1 year on 03/20/2015.
-
Have you done your own service request or an info pass yet? I would certainly put in a service request as they are out of processing times, but alas in answer to question, it seems they don't care. You could always do what others did to get their GC's quickly and send them flowers or chocolates I guess.
I did submit 3 requests in the past, but the responses are BS which says like your application is pending. Your application will be processed in order of receiving which is BS. The other responses were copying word by word from NPIW letter so it is obvious the officer did not read the sentence where it says 6 months not 8.5 months. Congressman had submitted inquiry about 1 month ago but USCIS hasnt answered him yet. Ombudsman had contacted USCIS 15 days ago, however it might take up to 60 days to get response. I did not make INFOPASS because my local office is far away.
-
Did you see the post I just made. USCIS has updated it's processing times and your right on the border!
Does the USCIS processing time mean anything? My local office is processing applications of July 18,2014 which I believe March 20, 2014 is before July. My application is probably at NBC and USCIS hasnt answered my Congressman inquiry yet ( almost 1 month). It will be one year from the date of filling on March 20, 2015. This is beyond ridiculous.

Thank you and hope you will get your GC soon.
I would go crazy if that is the case, however it was 3/31 lol.
