  1. Wow Ombudsman that is interesting, hopefully that might open up an enquiry regarding the delays? Perhaps, maybe. I honestly don't think I have read about the Ombudsman getting involved before, so should be more than interesting. Thanks for the heads up!

Ombudsman is the last thing I can request and they told me that if they can help, then they will contact USCIS. Otherwise, they will say No.

  2. You call USCIS to request an inquiry for your I-765. Customer service will ask you why you want to do so. You need to tell them that USCIS's website says that I can submit a request if my case is pending more than 75 days. You need to make sure your application is pending 75 days because USCIS will tell you that your application is not 75 days from the date of filling. Then asking for the confirmation number and that is it. I,myself, as along with other people had been successful by submitting the request.

  3. Well just checked USCIS status, it is like a religion now, dis-spells the boredom, that and shovelling snow. At least for now its the light, fluffy stuff and keeps me in shape. Guess what I got your fingerprint fee has been received. I was shocked to see that. Not!!

Any way Im sat here looking at people's comments and I can't help wondering whether the employee's of USCIS actually read them and have a quick chuckle to themselves. We cant blame them for the procedures and policies and it must be hard to constantly receive irate phone calls and to have to fob people off all the time. I know it would drive me crazy as I like to help people.

Then I got to thinking wouldn't it be great if someone on visa journey got a job there and kept us updated on current time scales. i also wish they would unlock my password so I can view my account properly, any one else on here locked themselves out of the USCIS website and emailed them regarding it, with no response? Curious!

Use different email to sign up the new account. I got locked multiple emails and they did not even reply my emails.

  4. Wow, they required to have Hep B, Meningoccocal as well?. The price for Varicella is about 100 dollar or more, and Meningoccocal is about another 100 dollar. However, Hep B is not that expensive as I know. Therefore, the total of 3 shots will be around 250 dollar, so the civil surgeon charges 200 more to fill out the form 693. I got Hep A, B, and Varicella at Department of Health in my state which they charged to my insurance. Hence, I did not pay for the cost of 3 shots. Did you try Department of Health to get those shots, and then find the civil surgeon that can fill out the form 693 for you?

  5. I called them again today and I was asked whether I can submit the request to NBC instead of my local office. She convinced me again, that the response I had last time was from NBC. I told her that it is not because my local office's address is on the letter as well as on the envelope. She still said it was from NBC and I told her that the post office's stamp does say my local office's city on the envelope. She hang up the phone on me, and I have to submit the request online that has 3 letter at the end of confirmation number as JAC, which is my local office again. I guess I will receive the same response as last time, however, I will continue to submit the request every 30 days.

  6. HI VJ's members,

I am sorry if this question has been answered somewhere. I have read multiple threads but I just want to make sure I am doing it right.

I came to US with K-1 visa on March, 2014 and filed AOS right after that. I am current having EAD and SSN, however I don't have my Green Card yet because my application is one of the selected Interview Waiver case.

I am filling the income tax as Married Jointly by using the paper form (not online). What documents do I need to provide to IRS as I am a nonresident :

This is what I am going to include with form 1040:

    1) Copy of my SSN.

    2) Copy of my driver license.

    3) Copy of my passport.

    4) Copy of my EAD card.

Do I need to write a statement about Nonresident Spouse Treated as Resident? and what else?

Thank you for reading my post and your helps.
