So I think it is safe to say that when AOS changes from PAID to N/A that your case is complete because I just spoke to Ivette and she was like "We have reviewed your documents ma'am and everything is fine. Your case is COMPLETE!!!!!!!!"
And then I yelled, "FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!" ::insert dancing emojis with sunglasses which I have been saving for Case Complete and now can't use them because I am on a mobile device::
Thank you so much to all of you with your patience and well wishes. I will continue checking VJ and commenting to support the ones that have supported me.
Let the PARTY BEGIN!!!!!! Lovemytico.... CALL girlfriend!!!!!

I could really use some help guys.
I need some help.
I've attached the page from my interview letter under "Required Visa Interview Documents"
I understand it all until I get down to the last three:
F - Petitioner Marriage Certificate
F - Petitioner Birth Certificate
11 - Petitioner Marriage Termination
The Document Status Code is "F" which means "NVC did not request this document" just as it did for the n/a items "Adoption", "Marriage Termination" "Court Records" all of which do not apply to him.
I just need to know if I need to send him the Petitioner Documents? Can someone help?

Maybe the OUTGOING mail is also running behind but I can't get this to work. I also haven't been told it was sent which could also be the problem.
I got case complete on 28May2014 in case someone has time to check on shipments to Ghana for me and I plan to call monday for confirmation that it has been sent.
Thanks!Don't mean Case Complete... I mean Interview date and the IL is dated 30May.

We have been in Jordan a little more than 2 weeks to visit my husband's family, and tragically my father in law passed away yesterday and was buried today. His father has been ill off and on for a few years, but we never expected this. I'm at a total loss and so horribly sad for my husband and his family, his dad was the patriarch of a very large, extended family. My son and I have to leave to go home on Tuesday(my husband was supposed to go with us) as my son starts a college internship next week, and my other son who didn't come to Jordan with us needs me home. My husband will stay behind an extra week to help get things settled here. Just sad
So sorry for your loss but I'm glad you were all together. My prayers for you and your family.

Okay so I have the IIN now the message is this I believe this is normal at first. I just need clarification that my thought is correct.
Summary InformationPlease be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error.
Did you read the first post in this thread? There's lots of useful information there.

Called the NVC and got our case number today YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked what the IIN was and the agent told me I could use either the case number or the receipt number. So I attempted to login to the US department of state website and Im getting this error-
"The selected Case Number and Invoice Identification Number combination you entered does not match our records. Please try again or contact the National Visa Center for further assistance."
Should I call back to the NVC or is this normally happen? I'm so confused I am positive the case number is correct I had her repeat it and I repeated it back to her. Please help!!
The agent lied! Gasp! I know, right?
Plus, its asking for the case number AND the IIN (invoice identification number) so without it ya' can't get in.
-
Congratulations!
Thanks. Best wishes for you too!

Another one bites the dust... lol.. Congrats!!

Ok guys, I've been waiting since early Tuesday morning for the INTERVIEW LETTER and was getting more and more depressed each day. I noticed this morning that people were calling to get the interview date so I though, WTH, and called.
A nice young lady answered the phone and said that my interview had been scheduled several days ago (Tuesday, Wednesday?) and they are behind in sending out the emails! You know, if they would put more effort into the emails then there wouldn't be so many calls! Duh!
Anyway, interview (for now) is July 9, 7:30 AM
-
Is anyone getting an interview LETTER or do we have to call now?
-
Welcome... your best bet is to read the NVC wiki in Saylin's signature in the very first post of this thread. Many questions will be answered before you even ask them.
BUMPIDY BUMP BUMP BUMP Lets get some action on this thread. WE NEED CC's today !!!
Yeah, what's the deal? Fist pump to you sistah! Your timeline is really ridiculous.
-
Just called NVC - interview scheduled today for 7/22
yea!!! Congratulations!
-
I don't blame you at all!!!!!! this process is the worst process ever! dealing with something that we don't have any kind of control or at least understanding of!
People outside of the US don't understand how hard it is to go through this!!!!
Every step in this process has a long wait associated with it from start to finish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Complete non-sense!!!!!!!!!!!
Every time I'm on the verge of pulling my hair out over all the waiting I make myself remember that each period of waiting is getting shorter. AND it's all better than wading through the black hole of USCIS and blindfolded !!!

Received false checklist for IV package.. Does this mean anything?
I think it means your AOS has been accepted! Yahooooooooooo!
Please, those of you who are sending good luck around, can you send a little bit my way that my re-submission of the DS261 won't hold me up much longer and that I can pay IV fee and fill in my DS260 soon?
Done.

Got my P4 letter last night and today my CEAC status is showing 'In Transit'. Huzzah!
Yea! You're almost there!

CONGRATS LISA !!!
I called this morning after reading your post.. Was told my file is definitely with someone. I asked if it is just received in the system or if its actually with someone. She said its with someone and under review . She told me to call back tomorrow and apologized for not having an update !! Nice but I really want that CC.
maybe they will get through the 5th and 6th today and 7th and 8th tomorrow ( wishful thinking?)
Call now the suspense is killing me
EFFFF the crystal Ball.... I am waving a magic wand for you !!
Thanks so much LoveMyTico. Still feel the same about your case and have been silently stalking you. lol This week is DEFINITELY your week.
-
Thanks, guys! Much appreciated, as always. Funny side note: My husband is floored by the quick responses I get whenever I post on VJ. I'll be like, "Oh, I got a response and someone said..." and he'll be like "Already???" He also thought you got paid for what you do, Saylin! I said no, she's just our NVC fairy godmother.
Love that! Saylin is our most wonderful NVC Fairy Godmother.

What a way to start the week off!!!!
Congratulations to you and good luck to everybody waiting for progress in their case!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much - we are very excited! Now where is that email ???
Congrats!!
Thank you very much!
Congrats!
Thank you!
Yay!!!!! Congratulations!! and I love that you called it the Visa Triple Crown
I thought it was a pretty good way to say it!
Sweet congratulations
Thank you.
Congrats! When did NVC receive/scan in the last package that you sent to them? Just wondering to see if it is anywhere around the time they received my last
package. Hoping for a CC this week.
Last package (IV) mailed on May 1, Recd on May 2 and scanned into system on May 5. Our timelines are almost exactly the same.
Best wishes to all who are still waiting at NVC and thanks again to all VJ'ers for your help.
-
Good luck to everyone this week! Hope you get what you want (case number, case complete, interview date, etc).
While you're on hold with NVC (and any other spare time you have), don't forget to read post 1!!
Finally! A win of the second leg of the Visa Triple Crown! Case complete May 27!
Thanks to all who helped (expecially you Saylin) and good luck to all who are still waiting... my prayers are with you.

Shame. What a waste of energy to convey to someone that is looking for information during the last few days of an incredibly long process. Hmmm wonder what he was hired to do... Maybe answer a customer service line? They surely do get tapped into a supervisor auditory visit at any given moment although I'm sure it's less of a priority to them while being overloaded with the mess you know who passed on to them. You called them 4 times today!? LOL!
I guess you're waiting for the good news of CC, eh?
Yes, they keep track of how many times you've called.
I don't know if they record the conversation though.
I just spoke to an elderly lady who was very kind and did the song and dance she's forced to give us: it's only been 6 working days since we received your IV packet and we have up to 30 days to review your package.
I thanked for her kind and informative answers. She says "you are our customer and you deserve to be treated with care for all you have had to go through." I told her what a breath of fresh air it was to be treated respectfully as the group before this stage was not as gracious. I told her that we kept up with all of them on the visa journey website and that she was going to get five stars. I could hear her blush as she said " you guys have to go through so much. Thank you."
I'm pretty sure her name was Edith. I had to call 32 times to pass through the busy signal and waited maybe 22-23 minutes on hold and the whole call lasted exactly 30 minutes.
I hope the supervisor of your "Visa Specialist" was listening in as that will certainly warrant further discussion at least.
But I still treat people like I want to be treated but if someone wants to get sassy with me I assure you I can take care of myself. These people ARE government workers and therefore work for us. If they don't realise that or understand what we have been through and how close we are to the end and are EXCITED then I hope they find another job soon and learn to regret their behaviour. I know, probably wishful thinking but as always, it is what it is.
I nominate Edith 2014 Visa Specialist of the year
NVC Filers - June 2014

Thank you Lakehouse. It's what I thought but then wondered why they even put it on the lt on the letter at all? Isn't the interview still mostly about the beneficiary?
Totally confused for almost a year now. Lol
