sometimes they don't like to give the IIN number for some stupid reason. You definitely need that to log in.

Called the NVC and got our case number today YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked what the IIN was and the agent told me I could use either the case number or the receipt number. So I attempted to login to the US department of state website and Im getting this error-

"The selected Case Number and Invoice Identification Number combination you entered does not match our records. Please try again or contact the National Visa Center for further assistance."

Should I call back to the NVC or is this normally happen? I'm so confused I am positive the case number is correct I had her repeat it and I repeated it back to her. Please help!!

Finally today I called the NVC to find out they received our case file on May 7th. Olivia is who I spoke with and she said to call back 20-30 days after the receive date. I said okay ill call back on the 27th is that okay? She chuckled then said yes that is fine. I don't really know when I should call back. The 27th does make it 20 days since the received date. Should I call back sooner? Any suggestions, Im excited to spend this money I have been hoarding.

Checking in I sure hope we get a case number this month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys after waiting 192 days got approved! I am so happy, NOA2 date was April 30. I am so happy that it finished and just it is done! Thanks guys for being attentive and encouraging me. Austin thanks for making great work you made everything clear about our spreadsheets.

Thought I'd try my luck sooner and got through after a 25 minute wait on hold. Our case was received and scanned into the system today spoke to Gus this time, possibly the nicest man in the universe.

yay so it looks like it is taking 10 days for NVC to receive the files from NSC.....

you must need to be patient for few days .. then you ll need to call to NVC ...good luck

thank you so much. I know I have a few weeks till I get our numbers. I called the NVC this morning and the lady said it wasn't in the system, then this afternoon I got a text telling me to check my account. I saw our file was sent to the DOS and got nervous.

ahhhh I did a search and figured it out. Although there are two numbers one for NVC and one for DOS its the NVC Ill start calling.

You can call every day if you wish, but realistically, you might expect the NVC to receive (and scan in) your I-130 info about two weeks after the USCIS says they actually mailed it.

It took 25 days for me. In my opinion, this is the biggest waste of time in the "system". 3 1/2 weeks to ship a document from Texas to New Hampshire means they shipped it via Pony Express.

It has only been 5 since we got our NOA 2 I know the wiki instructions say to call once a week until the file is received at the NVC. Realistically how long should I actually wait until I call to inquiry about the case?

i am getting impatient all day more and more! 183 day waiting, come on Nebraska dont make me to regret that i got picked by you and not CSC or Vermont! Do it for me please. (Do it or i will never see Nebraska in my life in USA even i wont go through it ) Guys need more coffee and red bull!

Wow congratulations to all the approvals!!!!!!!!!!! I am beginning to think that the folks who were not transferred and sent directly to the service centers will have a long wait. I came to this conclusion after reading the emails someone had from the USCIS. At any rate we haven't waited that long but my patience is beginning to run thin. I can only imagine how I will be several months from now if the wait is long.

Hey guys just wanted to provide an update to the numbers I watch from NSC. On Monday 4/14/2014 17 people I130's were approved. Its the biggest number change I have saw with the numbers I track. There appears to be a lot of movement in around 160 numbers before mine. Does it mean something? Sure one day Ill get my approval. Until then ill just keep getting excited about everyone else's approvals. The other thing I wanted to mention is that I checked these numbers at 8 am yesterday morning and nothing had changed. So at some point yesterday or last night they sent out the approvals based off Monday so hopefully we will see others on VJ who got approved on Monday.

Someone once said the folks from USCIS monitor Visa Journey. I believe it is a proven fact after reading page 151, its good to see they are some what listening to us. I wonder what information was blacked out. At any rate thanks for sharing and occupying my evening with a good read.

sorry dear its hard enough keeping up with NSC. It consumes my time and anxiety.

I just got the approval email (NOA2) from NSC after waiting for 6 months 1 week and 3 days!

It took longer than I had expected, but it's better than never!

I hope this week is going to be a great week for us! Come on NSC, TSC, and VSC! Drink lots of coffee and work harder!

Ran the numbers this morning and amongst the numbers I watch on April 10, 2014 there were 4 RFE's and 6 approvals given. On April 11, 2014 no RFE's 7 approved and 8 ARN numbers were changed. This feels like its going to take forever. At least we know Nebraska is working...

It may be a similar sequence of numbers if your application is also located at NSC

Manually looking the numbers up was driving me crazy

I just did a test then, and it took me 3 minutes to look up 200 receipts. I had to take an internal delay off, and I know that I could do it faster, but can't really be bothered to code it right now

I hear what you are saying regarding the visa numbers, but I don't think that is exactly how they do it, thought I may be wrong.
