  1. Called the NVC and got our case number today YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked what the IIN was and the agent told me I could use either the case number or the receipt number. So I attempted to login to the US department of state website and Im getting this error-

"The selected Case Number and Invoice Identification Number combination you entered does not match our records. Please try again or contact the National Visa Center for further assistance."

Should I call back to the NVC or is this normally happen? I'm so confused I am positive the case number is correct I had her repeat it and I repeated it back to her. Please help!!

  2. Finally today I called the NVC to find out they received our case file on May 7th. Olivia is who I spoke with and she said to call back 20-30 days after the receive date. I said okay ill call back on the 27th is that okay? She chuckled then said yes that is fine. I don't really know when I should call back. The 27th does make it 20 days since the received date. Should I call back sooner? Any suggestions, Im excited to spend this money I have been hoarding.

    Congratulations on all the APPROVALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Will some please tell me where I should be calling?

On April 25, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly

I know its to soon to contact them but do I call the NVC number or the DOS number when its time to start calling them???????

ahhhh I did a search and figured it out. Although there are two numbers one for NVC and one for DOS its the NVC Ill start calling.

  5. You can call every day if you wish, but realistically, you might expect the NVC to receive (and scan in) your I-130 info about two weeks after the USCIS says they actually mailed it.

It took 25 days for me. In my opinion, this is the biggest waste of time in the "system". 3 1/2 weeks to ship a document from Texas to New Hampshire means they shipped it via Pony Express.

    Sukie

Thank you, I want to call so bad but Ill wait till this Friday. - Maybe-

  6. Wow congratulations to all the approvals!!!!!!!!!!! :) I am beginning to think that the folks who were not transferred and sent directly to the service centers will have a long wait. I came to this conclusion after reading the emails someone had from the USCIS. At any rate we haven't waited that long but my patience is beginning to run thin. I can only imagine how I will be several months from now if the wait is long.

  7. Hey guys just wanted to provide an update to the numbers I watch from NSC. On Monday 4/14/2014 17 people I130's were approved. Its the biggest number change I have saw with the numbers I track. There appears to be a lot of movement in around 160 numbers before mine. Does it mean something? Sure one day Ill get my approval. Until then ill just keep getting excited about everyone else's approvals. The other thing I wanted to mention is that I checked these numbers at 8 am yesterday morning and nothing had changed. So at some point yesterday or last night they sent out the approvals based off Monday so hopefully we will see others on VJ who got approved on Monday.

  8. It may be a similar sequence of numbers if your application is also located at NSC :)

Manually looking the numbers up was driving me crazy

I just did a test then, and it took me 3 minutes to look up 200 receipts. I had to take an internal delay off, and I know that I could do it faster, but can't really be bothered to code it right now :P

    You're welcome :D

I hear what you are saying regarding the visa numbers, but I don't think that is exactly how they do it, thought I may be wrong.

From the larger set of 200 receipts above, I found the following (partial) results which shows some oddities:

[-] LIN1490053932 Request for Evidence On April 7, 2014, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in

[-] LIN1490053933 Initial Review On April 3, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I130, I

    [-] LIN1490053934 > Not an I-130 visa <

[-] LIN1490053935 Post Decision Activity On April 8, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PE

[-] LIN1490053936 Post Decision Activity On April 8, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PE

    [-] LIN1490053937 > Not an I-130 visa <

[-] LIN1490053938 Post Decision Activity On January 24, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT

    [-] LIN1490053939 > Not an I-130 visa <

[-] LIN1490053940 Post Decision Activity On January 28, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT

So you can see how they are interspersing the different receipt numbers.

Anyway I'm getting a bit off topic, so back to our regularly scheduled program we go!

    Ahem... hurry up USCIS.

Yes we are at the NSC.
