Yay the status on the Elis page has updated again from May 6th to July 10th I pray any day now we will see closed. The joy of waiting......

Good day, I have a question. My husband has been here now for 8 weeks, when he first came we went to the social security office to file for a card the woman told us that a card was issued May 7th. The problem was this on his biographic sheet from the Embassy his mother was listed as my name. The lady fixed the information and resubmitted the correct information and he received another social security card. Still he has not gotten his green card. On the ELIS website it says that he is optimized and processing with a status update of May 6th. I paid the $165.00 on April 1st so I know the fee is paid. I tried to call to speak to someone about the greencard to see if the changes at the social security office is the reason it is taking so long but I cant seem to get a representative. I push option 2 although when I put in the receipt number the voice tells me I didn't put in enough numbers. Please does anyone know the trick to talking to a live person?????????

Have both of you updated addresses in ELIS and/or gotten your SSN?

Yes SSN came 10 days after POE and I updated the address on the ELIS website.

We are still waiting Poe may 6th. ELIS says optimized and processing. The fee was paid before POE

I paid my green card fee on April 28, 2015, POE May 12 and got my Social Security Card 2 weeks later. Now the issue is that the social security card came with my name incorrect in that they combined my first and middle names as my first name. All documents in my possession proves that i did input all my names correctly. I went to the local SSC office to get it sorted out and they informed me that if they change it on their system I will be having verification issues until both cards, immigration (green card) and SSC, have the same information. I have called USCIS to give them the correct information before they produce the card. The person I spoke to kept insisting that i had input the information incorrect but the USCIS immigrant fee receipt proves that i did input correctly. They agent said they have added a note to my file to show the correct name. I am not sure however if there is more I should do. Can I visit immigration at the airport to have them correct the info on their system? Or should I just visit the local USCIS office to ensure that all is correct?

My husband and I had the same problem the difference is we went to the SSA to apply the woman told us we had already applied for the social security card and it was issued on May 7th, as well the first and middle names were all together from what she told us. She also said she would submit the change but she didn't know if they would approve the changes. She was a bit rude and my husband showed her his birth certificate and such to make the changes. A week later the social security card came in the mail and his names were separated. I am worried about the green card though but then again he has only been here for 32 days so we are just waiting it out. I just really hope that the changes at the SSA wont hold up his green card.

! While at the ELIS website it is optimized and mentioned in process, do both websites report same status or the status check has more info ! Thanks

I don't understand the reason why either but your not alone. The ELIS website says optimized but when I check the case status it says my receipt number is not recognized. My husband has only been here 20 days today.

Yay my husband was approved this morning!!!!

Just heard from hubby! Pending his medical they said he is approved!! His medical is delayed because we were expedited and they had 2 squeeze him in. He said she asked how & when we met, what kind of work I do, has he ever been 2 the states & why does he feel that we deserved to be expedited. He said she was very nice. They kept his passport & said he will get it back with the visa! Thank you everyone for all of ur support!!!

Ha yes I see your interviewing in Dakar. I am curious about the fees as well. What I have been told is the only fee at the interview that is left is the 165.00 visa fee upon approval. I will know for sure in the next few weeks though.

This is normal. Mine went back to Paid when the CEAC status changed from at NVC to In Transit. And as long as you have the P4, no need to be worried.

..i'm confused now.....AOS fee is changed to 'PAID'....It was N/A. Our case is completed and we have already got the interview letter(P4) today. is it normal the change of AOS fee to PAID?.....now i have only 2 N/A's.

I don't know if the change is normal but ours to has changed back to the word paid instead of NA. Although we also have our interview date too.

A scanned copy should be fine since most companies provide them to employees electronically for printing anyway!!!....I sent my mom a printed copy for her interview last year (they did not even ask for it).

Thank you. I didnt even think about that even though for the last 2 years I have printed my daughters w2s offline.

What do you all think. I am wondering if I should send my original w2 for 2014 to my husband for his interview or, can I just scan a copy to him for the interview?

Ok I just screenshot a bunch, and he printed out random pages of places calls back to 2012. Yeah I actus can't even remember the original package! Seems so long ago! I feel like now we have everything we need. Just hope that it's all filled out ok and things go smoothly. I miss him terribly and he's aching to meet his firstborn baby who is turning 2 months next week

Wow really? How far back? I go back to October! I have been dating 3.5 years, 7 trips to gambia and a child together. How can I print out viber or talk Rey? I have hsd several phones since then which always deletes messages when you switch phones. How far back do you recommend?

To clarify I go back to October meaning I oribtrd phone records back to oct 2"24, because tmone doesn't go back farther than that.

Ohhhh I see you can screen shot some of your chats. We only did a few screen shots a month, Just use what you have. You sent over evidence with the initial filing right?

Yay CEAC says our case is READY! Last update Feb. 9, 2015 wow it feels so good to be so close to the finish line, even scheduled the medical today.

Okay well long as he just tells that to CO and proves that he doesn't live there. NVC probably didn't know Gambians interview in Senegal is all. So not to worry about it.

No he does not live in Senegal. He lives in The Gambia he will have his CR1 interview in Dakar Senegal.
