You are right. I didn't say the decision is soley in the best interest of the child.
One thing I think that needs to be remembered is that most of us are talking about children that are old enough to have a say in the matter. If I had a child say, under the age of 4 or 5, I think it would be a no brainer, at least for me, that they child would come with me, or my Fiance would come up here. And that is part of the discussion we have had. We have been in a relationship almost 2 years now. So when we first started talking, there was no choice to be made. He was coming here, end of story. But two years down the road, my kids have gotten older, he now has his daughter full time, situation has changed. The end result we want is the same, for our children to be happy and healthy and for our relationship to be able to develop, to get married and be the couple we so desire to be.

I called today to enquire abut my case number and there is a message that the DoS number for public enquiries will be changing to 202-485-7600

Hannah, I feel you. I also had to wait for my divorce certificate, had to wait for my fiance to get his certified as a true copy... it is a never ending cycle of waiting.
Cathy, not to be negative, but don't put too much stock in those early approvals out of CSC. I have heard that they will go through spurts of random approvals. But we can all hope for the best, and I wish us all a speedy approval. Who nows, maybe we will all see NOA2 in August or September rather than November or December.

Thank you Teddy. It is a very difficult choice. I have talked with my children over and over about it and even the youngest has said, she just wants me happy. If my kids didn't have all thier family here, I would never leave them, but they will have loads of support from family as long as my ex cooperates.

This thread is not really for bashing other people for what they're doing. I understand that you're expressing your opinion but we tried to start it so that some people who have to make VERY difficult decisions in their lives, have some support of people who are also in the same boat. I do not love my child any less than anyone else. I love her enough to hope I'm doing something that makes her happy, by letting her keep living with her Dad. I am trying to do what makes her the happiest without sacrificing all that I am as well. I have seen how that works out. My MIL has nothing She has to live off the good will of other people. She put all she is into raising her two wonderful boys, but she is a shell of what she could be because she never stood up for herself ever. Even to her children because sometimes you need to.
My husband also loves my daughter very much. We both hope very much that she wants to live with us.

I am not denying the Noveber and December Approvals would put them ahead, remembering that they were processed out of order concidering how behind CSC was, but that doesn't mean VSC has come to a stand still. VSC, According to Igors list, has 17 July, 44 Aug and 19 September Petitions left. Where as, CSC, despite their rush of approvals still has 57 Sept, 71 Aug and 35 July. My Point is, that while CSC has be cranking out the approvals in one month, VSC has been slow and steady over the last however many months. The Rush at CSC just makes it look like VSC has stopped working because they aren't matching the pace and playing catch up.

For anyone who can't get them, as I had the sme problem, they don't keep them longer than 10 years, Ask your doc for a teter test. they will check you blood for the immunities and can update any that are needed.
