Perhaps people are jealous because the 'fairies' get all the girls.

duraaraa got a reaction from CarlosAndSveta in All Legal Same-Sex Marriages Will Be Recognized for Federal Tax Purposes
It's great to see that people have the right to marry anyone they please, and not have to choose their partner by gender. The more we embrace all of our different varieties of people, the more enlightened we all become.

duraaraa got a reaction from Darnell in What is your "Social Attitude"? Here's a test to find out
Radicalism 91.25 Socialism 93.75 Tenderness 40.625 These scores indicate that you are a progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a liberated atheist. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a pragmatic attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear communist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as left-wing.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, an idealist with many strong opinions.
This concludes our analysis; we hope you found your results accurate, useful, and interesting.

duraaraa got a reaction from Glyn and Kathy in Fury over 'Million Muslim March' scheduled for 9/11 - even thought the Islamic group planning it has only 57 supporters
Any religion which suggests the necessity of covering one's body and killing people for practicing their sexuality as they want is a religion I don't support.

duraaraa got a reaction from Darnell in Woman says cow is her reincarnated husband
Well, this may or may not take it in another direction, but I really do believe in reincarnation, but only in a scientific manner.
I'm pretty sure I posted about this belief of mine before, but here goes...
If I were to be brain dead, but revived and woken up again, I would retain my memories, at least to some extent. If the cells in my brain which store my personality and memories, even way after my death, were somehow recycled into another brain, would I not have been reincarnated?
Now, I mean no offense to Indians, but if you look at how dead bodies are disposed of in India, it's often floating them in a river... which people then bathe in, or even drink from. Is it any wonder that such places have the highest claims of reincarnation? If my brain cells are decaying in the same water you're drinking from, perhaps your baby will be a reincarnation of myself.
Although I think it's rare that reincarnation happens and memories can be recalled from a previous life, I'm pretty sure it does happen. I know that I am made up of all sorts of things -- whatever my mother ate when she was pregnant with me, and whatever they were made up of. It's kind of cool how everything is recycled.
So, in closing, if that cow's mother managed to eat the lady's deceased husband, or less directly grass which was fertilized by his corpse, I would say that it's quite possible that the calf is a reincarnated version of him.

This makes more sense than most of the common religions -- at least she has evidence (the cow likes the husband's side of the bed, walks around like he owns the place, etc.)
By the way, it's a pretty awesome cow. I wouldn't mind having a pet cow.

Congratulations to all of you who will be finally able to marry and finally treated as equal.
I hope all of your applications fly through with little difficulty!

Well, stating the obvious, it would have made the police more justified in shooting someone for no apparent reason...

Again, I don't think it's a racial thing at all.
Let's look at it this way:

Not likely to be pulled over for DWB:
I'm sure she could be pulled over for DWB despite not being black:

Just venting my excitement -- I last saw my loved ones in August 2012. Finally, tomorrow, we will reunite in the US.
Coming from a country with no McDonalds, Starbucks, highways, etc., they are going to be freaked out by the U.S., but we are all really excited to be together again!

duraaraa got a reaction from Sheepwalk in Evidence of relationship was returned... general questions.
About the pictures:
I made a black and white photocopy of the front and back of an original photograph, onto 8.5x11 paper. I then wrote the names, and July, 2011 on the back. That was the only photo of us together which I had sent in, and I was approved without any trouble.
Proof of having met was easier for me, because I lived and worked in Mongolia for a considerable amount of time, so I had things like drivers licenses, bank cards, long-term 3-year working visas, etc. etc. I think I just showed my Mongolian drivers license, and took copies of every page in my passport, and printed out the itineraries which matched the stamped visas.

Yes. When the folks in the lab coats show up. you know lots of people are going to die. The hoodies? I used to see that every cold winter morning while waiting for PT.

I think I can help you with this:
http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-134instr.pdf
On the instructional page, although it isn't technically called "Section II," there are four options regarding supporting evidence. They are labeled A, B, C, and D.

If someone is in love with someone else, they should absolutely be able to marry.
Now, we should fight for polygamy (yes, really.)
Polygamy is not for me, but some people would prefer to have a multimarriage.
People should be able to define marriage as whatever they please.

Any idea what this means for immigration benefits?
I would assume that people could now petition their same sex fiance(e)s. This would be tremendous for the people in that one thread about it -- forgive me for not remembering their names.
