NO there absolutely are hate crimes, holy smokes there are over 300 million people in this country, one can find cannibalism too.
What I cast doubt on is that there is a special need for alarm as if this is a "big" problem, I would suggest it is a very small problem or not even a problem just a reality to be dealt with.
If you want to focus on race being an element of crime, you are wasting your time hunting down the Klan, turn on your evening news and see who the perps are and who the targets are.

I need a liberal telling me about respecting the office of the President.. That's funny after all the crazy anti-bush rants from all the left, you guys want to preach about the office of the president..
Why does this make you so mad. Obama will not enter the fray and it will go away after a few days. Bush use to stay above the fray all the time. If Obama jumps in it, then it's on. This is a sound byte. A publicity stunt it will pass.

...What a great story! Thanks for posting your experience. I have never heard of this issue before. This is a new one from the CFO. If I were in your shoes, I would have panicked too. I'm really glad you got it straightened out.
What would you have done if you hadn't talked to the BIA guy? Would you have tried to board your flight with the emailed document you had in your hand already?
Message to the CFO: I hope you are reading this thread and you have the courage and humility to post here that you were wrong and that you caused your kabayan unnecessary stress. Not only do you owe her an apology, but you should apologize to all of your other kabayan who you misled.

I love it when you all do that. Absolutely no defense, so you whip out the ol' well someone else did something wrong so it's not so bad. So if I beat my neighbor into a coma, it's ok because someone else beat their neighbor to death. Liberal Logic.
So if Obama wins who you all going to blame in 6 years or 8.

Amazing how pathetic people in the tank for Obama are. The fact that you find it acceptable for them to outright lie to the American people is sad. Truly shows the integrity of the American left is in the toilet.

I didn't expect I'd feel this way. It was all bright and sunny and blissful five months ago when I have my I do.
I left everything I loved for someone I love most. To build a life with him is worth letting go of the life I knew. To be his wife, to bring him good all the days of my life... That is now my calling. His wonderful-ness as a husband makes it a delight. The cost, on the other hand, is unexpectedly painful: death. Loss. Grief.
I used to have friends... Lots of them. Genuine friends. Now, they're miles away. Hardly any contact. Thoughts and feelings bottled up inside. I have only my husband to share my joys, tears, fears, disappointments, and victories... I feel like I'm depending on him too much for emotional support.. It's frustrating because I was very independent; I never felt like I needed anyone that much. Not anymore. At least for now.
I used to earn my own money, doing the job I enjoy. While I love being at home and obsessing on recipes and housekeeping and keeping myself pretty for my husband,I miss school. I miss being around kids. I miss talking to parents. I miss being a teacher... And being known to be excellent in such a field.
I used to go places whenever I want. On my own. Now, I can only go as far as my feet could take me. Got no driver's license yet. Public transport not an option. I'm limited to my husband's availability, which is whenever he has no work.
I feel like I lost myself. Many of the things I knew about myself seem to be gone. Try as I may to hold on to them, I could not. They're gone. Maybe they'll come back someday, but there's no point in waiting for something you're not sure will still return. The only thing I can do is to let go.
    And embrace.
Embrace the new me. Whatever that would turn out to be.
Embrace my new life. I'm now the wife of the most wonderful, loving, patient man I know. I'm blessed to be called his girl.
Hurts for now. Dying dying. Dying to my old self. Like autumn leaves falling.
Spring will come. New beginnings. Soon.
After all that emo, I wonder... How many of you could relate to such?

    Well...
I've deleted my FB and have been "deactivated" for more than 1 year now. I couldn't be happier! I had that addictive need to attend to FB'ing. Then it hit me, why is the owner a BILLIONAIRE. IF he wanted us to be on FB, we SHOULD be paid to be FBooking, JUST as a journalist is paid to post news. Make NO darn sense!
I do miss the old days of "sharing/chatting/chewing the fat".
    It's a matter of perception.
Three people at my workforce have been fired for posting photos that MY boss deemed inappropriate even it was during their off hours.
I am NOT going to lose my job over FB. There are parts of MY life I don't want to air out my laundry or for the world to see.
It's not easy to part from FB, but there's a whole 'nutter world out there to be explored.

    First to Chocnut;
Your words deeply express so much more than your current difficult situation, they speak volumes about who you are as a person, the obvious true love you share in your marriage, and so much more. Without doubt, you have touched the hearts of many, including myself. I sincerely thank you for posting this here today, not only for your own needs, but also for the great benifit of all who read it. I am rarely moved to such intense emotion and deep introspection, you have innocently opened my eyes in a way that I dare say no-one else could have. I'm sure many others share my view. I sincerely thank you.
May you find comfort in the knowledge that you are really not alone, you are deeply loved and respected by all who know you, and your beautiful new life is just beginning. I have no doubt that you will soon have many close and dear friends in your new home, I'm confident those new bonds have already begun, your new friends and family are drawn to you simply because you are who you are. That is inevitable. And much like your dear friends and family back home, your new friends and family will be with you forever.
As painful as it may be right now, your future is very bright indeed, and a whole new, wonderful world is now at your feet. This is a Beginning, not an end.

It's Important To Remember Where You Come From.

It's Important To Know Where You Are Going.

    And;

It's Important To Always Have Something To Look Forward To.

Much wisdom is expressed in this entire thread, I thank one and all for your contributions.
I for one, now have a much greater and more valuable understanding of the needs of my own fiancee'.

You use to help someone back in the summer but don't now and you carried some unwanted clothes to Goodwill. I am sure the down trodden and burdened appreciate your great sacrifice. The thing about you Lib's is you are real good and exceeding how to spend other peoples money, but when you are called to serve... Well you score a Big Goose Egg on giving to others don't you. You don't really care about others your just pissed cause others are financially successful and your not. It's the class envy syndrome of Big Govt Liberals. Mitt Romney has done more for the poor in a year than you will do in a lifetime, but yet you mock him ? Joe B gave 1.5% to charity last year , but he cares ???

We Are The Art reacted to Obama 2012 in BREAKING: Federal Appeals Court Strikes Down DOMA In Opinion By Republican-Appointed Judge
The law is not unconstitutional because it's discriminatory. It's not in the slightest bit.
The problem with it is that it violates the full faith and credit clause of the constitution and should be struck down.
DOMA doens't stop individuals from marrying the other sex. It doesn't care about sexual orientation. It doesn't specifically stop anyone from doing anything that their state doesn't already allow them to do.
The problem is that it makes a contract within one state not binding in another, which IS a problem for states that allow homosexual marriage.

I said the law is unconstitutional, just for a different reason than they are trying to pull out of a hat.
Homosexuals are not a "class" of people. It's a mental state, a human behavioural state, but not a class of person. Attraction has to do with emotion, brain waves, etc.. It has nothing to do with who you otherwise are.

Ok take the gloves off a second and let me ask you a serious question. I grew up in a small town in Mid-GA. My father was a Doctor and I visited the county work farm on more than one occasion to visit a black inmate that had been beaten half to death. I remember as late as the early eighties us having 3 rest rooms in the courthouse. I don't have to explain to you why 3, I am sure. A black holding a real job or running for public office was not a reality before the mid 80's. Heck my first 4 years of school, no blacks allowed. If I were completely honest I would say some form of Bondage was real and healthy until the Mid-80's. I feel you and I understand why you feel the way you do. It's justified
Let's fast forward to 2012. . I live in a county that is about 55% Black. 90% of our violent crime is committed by young black males. 85% of black children are born out of wedlock to single mothers with a large percentage of those on some form of government substance.. The schools have such discipline problems that they are ranked some of the worst in the state. There black nuclear family has been destroyed by welfare. apathy and drugs.
So back to the 90% of violent crime being committed by young black males. What is your answer. If you are the person charged with public safety what areas do you target. Do you treat a group of old white women with the same scrutiny you do a group of thuged out hipsters. Just curious ? What other than giving more and more government money away do you suggest we do to make the world safe for people like me.
I am 50 years old. I have busted my butt all my life, Served my country. I pay almost 50% of my income to the government in some form of tax. I will get up at 5:00 AM in the morning and go work 10 hours. Should I be able to go to the local mall after dark ? right now I would not dream of it ? Should I be able to stop for gas without witnessing someones ####### hanging out their pants and hearing MF GD every other breath. I think I should.
As I said in the start. A lot of White folks think that when the slaves were freed , everything was just fine the next day. it was not. However things have come full circle. Black people have to start taking some responsibility for thier actions as a race. America is 78% white and we just elected a black President 4 years ago. How can you blame over whelming racism on the plague that affects the black community. Every single immigrant group that comes to this country surpasses African -Americans and thrives. That includes Blacks that immigrate from the west Indies and Africa. They all thrive.
What is your answer as a black man. ?

Unless someone does something that is not the same as your choice. Then they are ridiculed, made fun of and their choices are dissected and blasted as some form of mental illness. Their family is ridiculed, attacked...even children scorned and attacked, their accomplishments belittled and spat upon. Nice.
It means you are not pro-choice. It means you do not love choice. You love everyone to be like you, or like you imagine you are. Commenting on others feelings about marriage and children, when one has neither, is based in ignorance. Choices and opinions based on ignorance should, at least, be disclosed. Perhaps in a signature disclosure "the opinons above are not based on any actual life experience" or something of the sort. Whatd'ya think?
