I went and I'm glad I did for a number of reasons.Just woke up from a nap my fiancés visa was approved this morning.I just waited in the waiting room pictured above. She was gone about 2 and half hours and said the actual interview was less then ten minutes.I wanted to go to support my future wife and make her feel more comfortable and in case for some reason they need to talk to me I would be there. It cost more money sure I had to take off work and tickets were not cheap 550.00 dollars roundtrip airline tickets each from Tijuana(we bought our tickets six weeks out). They really take advantage of the people cause there is only one roundtrip flight(on Aeromexico not a cheap airline) and any other options just to save a little over 100 dollars you have to fly to Mexico City or Guadalajara first which would add lots of time to a flight or I could we could take a bus which would not be fun and take me away from work her son for more days.My fiancé is originally from Monterrey Mexico which is an hour farther and we have been there four times and flown from Tijuana and four that price it paid for both of us and her son.So they are taking advantage at least where we live in Mexico for people going to Juarez for there visas.
I was glad I was able to support her help her out in anyway and be with her because of any worries weather it be regarding safety here in Juarez or if they needed to talk to be at the interview or to keep her company for the four days when we she was not at the medical clinic or the consulate.
We will have to stay in Tijuana another month before we can move to the USA though so I can earn more money for rent and the movie to San Diego,California but for both of us it was worth it that I went.

If the interviewer is not 100% convinced that you have an actual relationship, they will ask if the USC is waiting outside the embassy. If the answer is yes, they will have you enter the interview to answer a couple of questions. It is rare that this happens, but it does happen.

To be honest I haven't heard of many cases being denied due to that reason. That's just what some people have been saying happened to others, while they were waiting for their Spouse's to return from their interview. I've heard from others that they didn't ask if the Spouse/Fiancé was there at all. If you can't go it shouldn't make that big of a difference in the approval/denial of the petition. Always depends on which official is giving the interview I'm sure. If you can it's always better to be safe than sorry. Worse comes to worse, if there's no way you can get there you can always send your spouse a letter explaining why you aren't there or something along those lines, incase the interview official asks. But I wouldn't worry about it too much, especially if you have enough provided proof of relationship. In that case they may not ask. I learned a lot of the information on the Reviews: Embassy/USCIS & POE on this site in the menu above. You can look at the comments from peoples experiences at the embassy the interview will take place at. Maybe that will ease your mind a little.
    Best of luck.

    Hi!
I wouldn't be able to say an exact time frame, from the NVC to the consulate it took a little less than a month for us.
Once your fiance receives the invitation letter (aka Packet 3) you may start gathering your documents, pay the consulate fee, and schedule your interview.
We got our interview on March 14 2013. You get to choose when you would like your interview from their calendar if the date is available. I scheduled on Feb. 14 and got it exactly a month later.
As to answer your last question, the Ciudad Juarez consulate does not allow for the U.S. citizen to enter the interview, not even the building. I am going with my fiance (I am the US citizen) to Ciudad Juarez but I'm going to stay in the hotel. Hope I cleared your doubts.
    Good luck!

    Hi Saylin and the Gang!
Its Friday 7.30am Friday March 1st here in Perth Western Australia and I am checking in. While reading through these threads I was on hold with NVC. I just when I decided to check in NVC answered and I was informed that my case was COMPLETED today. (28th Fed' USA time)
Our AOS and IV Package were sent together and received by NVC 21st Feb (USA time)Guys that 7 days including a weekend - I am NOT bragging, I am hopeful many more cases will be completed very soon. I had wondered if NVC attempt to close as many cases as possible near the end of any given month??
Of course now the waiting game again, as we wait for a Sydney interview....Saylin can you please check your crystal ball and tell me my likely interview month, date, oh and time of day too...
kind regards and warmest wishes to you all,
    Gab

Definitely add 'Supervisor Review' as the first part of the subject line. This will pretty much guarantee it will be looked at today. Hopefully something comes of it

I'm almost afraid to whinge about this, since our process has been relatively painless (knock on wood!) but MAN, it is tough going waiting on notification that things have been received! It's been 10 days since we sent our DS-3032 and I'm seeing on here that folks who sent theirs almost a WEEK before us are just getting notified. Of course, my worry may have been influenced by the fact that Hubs is a SEASONED worrywart who is convinced that everything is going to fall apart at the seams. On top of that, I'd LOVE to think that we could have an interview by April 15, since I took a year off of work after our daughter was born, so had very little income for 2012. I'm working now, but just started in January, so I'd only have a few months of paystubs to bring to interview. Come on, NVC! Let's get the hitch out of your giddy-up!
