Nothing to worry about. The online system is unreliable and the card will be coming shortly. It's actually only been 2 business days since your interview, which is a normal time frame even if approved on the spot. If you see no card or update in 2 or 3 weeks though, I'd make infopass and remind your IO to push the approval button
Edit: Oh, congrats on approval!
I figured it would be something like that. Thanks for the congrats. It was thanks to help from people like your good self that I was able to assemble the package in the first place.

Had my interview on Thursday in Atlanta and was approved after a short interview. I was given a letter that congratulated me on my approval and how to remove conditions when the time comes. I was told that I could have a stamp if I wanted one, but there was a pretty sizeable queue and I didn't have a pressing need for one.
I'm mainly concerned because lots of folks seem to get their updates from USCIS later the same day, or the next at the latest. It has been a few days since my interview and no change. Anything to worry about?

My interviewing officer said I could get a stamp, but there was a sizeable queue and I didn't really want to hang around. I didn't have an I-94 as I entered on the VWP. I just want to get the online updates now so I know it is being taken care of!

Approved on the spot. She didn't asked for pictures, anything. We were in and out in less than 5 minutes.
Funny part, at the end of the interview, she said "so, the girls were an accident, right? I mean...not an accident, but you were not married...you know what I mean"
We thought it was hilarious
Congrats! Wonderful news

I'd definitely give it a go. I'm used to being up and on my feet most of the time anyway.

My status has yet to change online since my face-to-face approval last Thursday, but I don't know if that's to do with the recent website issues or if they haven't finalized things their end just yet?
I start my job in a week so pretty excited about that. I've been coordinating present buying with my folks back in the UK, they made an account with Amazon US and ordered things to be shipped here. It made what could have been a logistical nightmare that little bit easier.
Hope everyone else is well? Good luck to those with interviews this week and to those still waiting, I hope you hear something shortly.

Hello!!!!!!!!!! I know I havent been here in sometime but happy to see everyone getting good news!!
So guess what we got APPROVED!!!. The interview was really easy .. We got there around 12.40 the interview was at 1.. but they ended up calling us around 2pm.. the IO was really friendly and nice, first question on our way to his office was how long have we been married.. than he ask us about work and than we did the oath ha I think he was hungry because he even mentioned he wanted to go to lunch...he asked how did we met, how did my hubby proposed and more about work.. then he asked me if I have been back to Colobia I told him no, but trying to convince hubby to go with me.. they started joking about going to Colombia and how dangerous.. anyhow my hubby picking on me.. he went over the I485 and copies of bank statements car and renters insurance, some pictures and my i94.. so then he said you'll get your temporary Green card because we have only been married 8 months and explained the process .. said to look for it in the mail within 3 weeks asked if we had questions and that was it. We were done!!!!! oh boy Im so happy
forgot to mention at the end he got copy of our license but didnt give us any paperwork, nor my status on the web has changed... should I worry>?
I was in Atlanta too and mine has yet to update online...

Lots of folk still waiting in Minnesota right now. Hopefully you'll hear something soon.

We got there at about 7:40am for our 8am interview. For whatever reason we weren't seen until 9am.
The officer lead us into his office and asked us to take an oath.He had obviously read my file before we started as he asked me about the work I did overseas and whether or not I missed it. We then had a conversation, not really an interview - asking us to confirm details from the various bits of paperwork we had sent in (Nazi, prostitution and whatnot!)
He looked at our pictures and kept a couple. He also kept our bank account and credit card evidence. He then said he was approving us and gave us a letter detailing the ROC process.
The interviewing officer was very friendly and was always making conversation so we didn't have any lulls or quiet periods. It made the process that much easier!

I'm tomorrow at 8am! I'm excited to finally get this all put to bed. I just organised our paperwork into sections in a folder ready for tomorrow. Good luck for everyone and their upcoming interviews

Once you adjust your status you'll be a conditional resident, not a citizen. You won't be a citizen until you're eligible to apply for citizenship - you then have to pass the interview/take and take the oath. Once you've done that, you can apply for a US passport. It will take you more than 3 years from now though.

I started applying for jobs a couple of weeks ago after I received my EAD and SSN. I sent of 5 applications and received 5 callbacks. I just accepted an offer from the first company that got back to me. It's a great job with wonderful prospects and great benefits.
- I'm British so I don't think I suffered from the accent issues, if anything it was a great icebreaker and something every recruiter remarked upon and saw as a positive.
- I have spent a lot of time overseas and was told by one of my old bosses that he was contacted by someone checking my background information and could they confirm some aspects of my job role whilst working with him. I think companies are willing to check international background information if necessary.
- I ensured that for each different job I applied for that my resume was tailored specifically for that job and that it didn't sound too generalized or vague with regards to responsibilities, skills or achievements.
- I found my openings by going to places like indeed.com and midgeorgiahelpwanted.com and seeing who was looking. I would then go to the company's own website and apply there, rather than through a third-party.
- I didn't have any US references, all of mine were European/African/Asian and it didn't seem to do me any harm.

I just got my first job working as an Insurance specialist. Entry-level job, but starting salary of 30k plus full benefits. First job I applied for once my social security number came through too!

I got the job yesterday after 8 hours of testing and interviews. Starting pay of 30k with full medical benefits. I start on Dec 10th and couldn't be happier! Filled out the I-9 yesterday and got a call to say that it had all been verified today, also had to let them take a clipping of hair for a drug test - no big deal for me as I've never taken anything bad in my life!
I'm feeling pretty confident about my interview next week as a result

Did anyone find out there ssn before you got the actual card?
I didn't, but I know that you can pop into the office after a couple of days and they will tell you the number once it's been assigned.
Iaia - so sorry to read about your little one, but very happy to read that the ridiculousness with CPS didn't last long and that she's home now
Oh, I just realised it's only 10 days to go until my interview in ATL. Also on the job front I have an assessment and then an interview, depending on testing performance, tomorrow at 7:45am!

Hope everyone is well?
Been a busy week for me. I got my SSN last Wednesday so I thought I could start the job I had lined up, alas it fell through so I've been working hard on finding something new. Everything seems to move so much slower here compared to my experiences elsewhere in the world. I'm intrigued by the amount of checks and tests I have to go through just to get my application considered. Anyway, I have received some callbacks and have been to a few assessments - hoping to hear good news shortly...
We also took the time to open a joint checking account with Bank of America this morning. A really painless process and done in less than 30 minutes. We also opened a savings account. I have forgotten about Wells Fargo already!
It's my birthday tomorrow so we are going by my mother-in-laws tonight for dinner and cake! I have been working out a lot lately; 5 mile runs and benching weights so it will be nice to gorge a little!
Interview in 15 days!
