If you check the VJ stats you will see that not really, they aren't. They might have some odd October filers left but the majority of those have already been processed along with some filers up to February and March.

I'm sorry but why should she be the one doing all the effort? Why should she bend herself to be 'what he likes in women' if he supposedly loved her in the first place? Why should she promise him things will change since she will start working too? Which things? She never did anything wrong. He should become this 'better person'. And she can choose to accept this effort (and try to rebuild the relationship) or not. Waiting for her to come over is not an excuse to cheat.

Hollyday reacted to titantom in Short question about tourist visa to Russia
I just got my passport back today... 3yr, multi-entry, tourist. First VISA since we were married as well, but I also had 4 previous VISAs. The application asks about relatives in Russia and spouse info, so I was concerned about that because you can do a private stay or your Russian spouse can make the VISA request for you. I still wanted to go with the tourist type in case we were ever traveling separately or to varying destinations in Russia, which is possible. Also, its good for a 6 month stay on any given entry. Hope this helps...

Can't we all just agree that we'd like to have approximately the same timeline for both (maybe faster for families with kids) and just stop at that? Enough of the bashing already. I'm happy for people who have fiances coming over in a month, etc. etc., but i'm nearing 8 months of waiting now and would like to see the end of this.
The concept of married people being less committed somehow looks like an oxymoron for me, but oh well. Let's just stop, please? It's not a productive discussion either way at this point and not helping matters.

My fiance and I have also "started our lives" together. We make daily decisions together, "landlord" a house together, make financial decisions and plans together, are each others' legal beneficiaries, cry when we're missing the other, feel like throwing things at the wall when we hear of yet another delay, support one another, and do everything that a married couple who lives 4,000 miles apart and is also trying to be together would do (except on top of all of that, we also have to try to plan a wedding when we have no idea when we'll be able to get married). That stuff is already happening. It's not like we live completely separate lives until one day we get this magical piece of paper and suddenly our lives are joined. They are already joined. We have already started our lives together. Or as much as anyone can from this distance.
I agree that USCIS should not be a root cause for divorce, but it ALSO should not be a root cause ANY couple to split. The end result is the same: Two people who were in love are now going their separate ways. I don't want that to happen to anybody.
I've been married before, I know what it's like from both sides. Marriage is not a magic wand that amplifies the pain of being separated. It's a piece of paper. Being separated from the person you love is being separated from the person you love, period. And if my fiance and I were to split up for some reason, it's not like I'd just shrug my shoulders and "get another" fiance (any more than you would just turn around and "get another" spouse).
I am very sorry for the couples here that have to be separated for so long, and it does appear that CR-1s have to wait longer and there is no excuse for that. It should be equal. Loved ones should be reunited at the same pace.
But the things you've said here about being "legitimate" and "more powerful" or that you experience "more pain" are pretty darn offensive, especially when the only reason we're not already married is because we're waiting for the government to let us!

I suggest you check the VJ stats. You can sort them by NOA2 date starting with most recent ones and then you'll know from which months they were.

What could possibly happen except the authorities identifying the poster by it though? There's no private data shown in the tracking tool in USCIS site. Anyone can check anyone's number anyway. So just asking out of curiousity.

And the rest of us going through stress deserve it ?
Anything in life can cause stress , she should probably be in a different profession if she cant handle it.
There is no reason to get a special pass just because of your profession.
Imagine if all of us started doing this, the real and genuine reasons for expeditions would suffer!!

Well, first you need to decide which visa you want to pursue - K1 or IR-1/CR-1. Apparently you're choosing the latter (we did too, so i could keep working in Russia till the last moment and then be able start working in the USA immediately) , for this visa it really doesn't matter where you do it - could even be a third country. As some posters already said, if you do it in the US, you have less stuff to translate. But you will still have to go back to Italy to wait for the visa. It would be possible to visit your husband in the US in meanwhile though.

Okay, here are my $0.02 regarding the letter:
    0. Thanks for all the effort and the extent you're going to help with this!
    1. Do you maybe want to mention how we got to the estimate of this 88% like make some intro that there is a community gathering statistics of the members, etc.? Because the phrase 'a vast majority (around 88%) of our I-130 petitions filed in March remain un-adjudicated' will undoubtedly lead to a question where we get this info because there's no official statistics by month as far as i'm aware.
    2. Speaking of this 88% of March filers: if we take the stats without DCF my calculation shows more than 12% processed, so i'd use a more generic phrasing like 'over 80%'.
    3. Just for my understanding: which federal law are you referring to when you say adjudicating those petitions should be their first priority?
Thanks and keep up the good work.
