  1. Congrat babyfurl, you came on here first to seek help going through the immigration process. We might not be expert here but everybody's experience can enlighten your journey.

It is good new things come up during this thread and it is fair to explain before hand what good news come up your way.we are here to discuss and share different type I visas and immigration related topic. I am not attacking your personality but it seems you are selfish and egoist full of yourself and ready to bite anybody who think you are wrong leaving the thread hanging.

It should not take hammer and axe for you to feel like answering anybody but the moment you post something you are expecting people to contribute and it is the right to know the WHY your fiancé won't need the interview anymore but will be coming ...

When I first read your post I said maybe your fiancé got his DV lottery or you the petitioner convince immigration that you are aero phobia or acrophobia so you will want to have your fiancé flies to you...

You see how it helps when you make a clear post?

Have a good day and all the best

    Very well said.

  2. International Arriving passengers is where you will wait.

For Pinkrlion....there are 2 gates (side by side). Its not too clear which gate because there is not an A or B indicating which is which like on the arrival board. I had to ask someone. Actually Kevin got through pretty quick. No additional waiting for him. Asked for his paperwork, took his finger prints and said you have 90 days to get married, welcome to America.

  3. My fiancé was just approved!!! Over the moon happy right now, yet concerned as there is a hurricane headed his way as he is rushing to get home. I have his DHL tracking number- how long should it be before the DHL site even shows the package exists? Right now it just says "no results found for your tracking inquiry". What will it say first when it appears in the system? He also opted to have it delivered to his workplace in Ocho Rios. Has anyone else had it delivered to a business like that? I'm wondering if it'll slow down delivery.

Hope everyone is well and to everyone in Jamaica PLEASE STAY SAFE!

Some people got the visa ready to be picked up status within 4-5 days. Others took up to 3 weeks...AP review. All you can do is keep checking. As for having it deliverd....thats not an area I can answer. He picked his up in Kingston.

    Congrats on the approval!! :)

  4. I've always had to go to the DMV in person (in GA) to renew my license as they need to see my GC. EVERY time, they've asked me if I wanted to register to vote. EVERY time I've said, "I'm not a US Citizen, I'm not eligible to vote."

Makes me wonder just how many non-citizens do register... whether accidentally or otherwise. What's scary is, if it goes through... no checks and balances for that?!

Sounds to me like you did the right thing - DMV workers shouldn't even offer the option to register for non-citizens. Doesn't absolve us of personal responsibility - but you took the proper steps to correct the *mistake* once it was discovered, so hopefully that will show that your intention wasn't bad.

Good luck with it, please keep us posted.

"accidental or otherwise". I agree! hmmm

  5. When we went to the DMV to get his ID they asked him if he wanted to register to vote as well. He said yes, at first handed it to him but then the agent pulled back the form and asked him "are you a US citizen"? He wasnt so they took back to form completely. In my opinion its just a mistake. I'd take the forms and letter and explain. I wouldnt worry too much. All explanable and the DMV's error to give youthe form without asking if you are a US citizen.

  6. should I look on another section for this info?

Basic process for entry? Fingerprints? Assume I should allow extra time between flights (POE and second flight to Texas). Just passport/visa needed correct?

Once we are in US I will need info on next part of the process....Social Security Card, Employment Authorization, etc. Where can I get more information.......

    Thank you so much

For the next step you will find the information in AOS (Adjustment of Status) forums. All the forms can be found in that section. Just like in the K1 Forums. Obviously need to be married first before you can adjust his status. But you will find all the forms in there that you will need. EAD, AP, Conditional Green Card etc. Good luck. More paperwork, more money and more waiting! tons of fun!

  7. I say this with the sweetest intentions....I think you are tooooo worried about this. I had only 5 pictures on our K1 visa and only 1 trip down there. AND I didnt go down there for the interview. We were approved. If you havent already you're going to stress out that Jamaican husband of yours ;)

Relax. Get organized with the documentation that he brings to the interview. And stay calm. He will soon come!

  8. First...Im sooo sooo sorry to hear about your denial. How horrible!! I personally dont think her going to the interview would have sealed the deal. When he was denied he would have given the slip indicating why the denial. Because some of the pitures not being dated doesnt make too much sense. I only had 5 pictures (all dated) in total!!! Have him email you the document the embassy the document he got. It will explain a little more. Then you can also get your congressman involved.

  9. Hello Everyone. Congratulations to all who have received their NOA2 this month and my prayers to all those who are still waiting. I am new to this site and I need some clarity on my situations. I just received my letter in the mail from USCIS stating that my I129F Petition For Fiance was approved and forwarded to the listed Consulate. And that I should contact the consulate with any further questions about visa issuance. My question is What's Next. Should my fiance and I wait to hear from the Consulate in Jamaica or is there something that I can do in the mean time. I was under the assumption that the approved documents would be sent to the Visa Center then forwarded from there to the consulate. Am I missing something here? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My husband never got anything from the embassy until a week before his interview. Ricky is right...you can let it take its own (slow) course or we can help you move it along via email. Make sure your fiance has his non-impediment and police report ordered or in place.

  10. So, my question is how long should my fiances packet 3 take to arrive? It was sent to Jamaica from NVC on Spetember 19th and he still hasn't gotten anythimg. It was suggesed to me that we just send in the D-230 and press on without the packet. Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

He never got the packet until a week before the interview. Do you have your case number? If so, go ahead and send via email to the embassy the signed DS230. Going forward you can work via email with the JA embassy. PM me if you have any other questions. Happy to help!

  11. My husband and I have been together for almost 3 years and just married this year. I started the paper work 8/24/2012. So far it was sent to MO for background check and is now back in VSC. I have everything put together for my I864 and am just waiting to hear from them. We are trying to get all of the things he will need for his interview together as it takes so long to get things delivered and I am having difficulty getting my own phone record for my landline phone. DigiCel only goes back 3 months on his end and we need 3 years. I did not ever think I would need to "keep track" of my calls or my relationship with him, didn't expect to fall in love and be married but here we are. Has anyone had any luck with phone records and how long has your process seemed to take?

What phone service do you have for your land line phone?

  12. I’m trying to plan a cost effective wedding. I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions for an inexpensive wedding in Jamaica. I’m trying to keep a small wedding.

I’m thinking some where in Montego Bay.

On another not. I was meeting with a lawyer about the immigration process.

And her work of caution. Was have your fiancé provided you with a police record

So your 100% sure that the filling of the papers can work.

I never thought about this and have known my fiancé since 2007.

I trust his word but her you can never be to sure. He has agreed to get

In for me so we can move forward with out plans.

I cant help you with the marraige thing. But with regards to the lawyer and this process....I dont think you need to spend the additional cash. This site can help you out VERY much! Do a likkle more research on here and ask around..you'd be amazed how much you can do youself. Just a thought.

  13. Hi All I think I know the answer but......is it possible for me (the petitioner) to pay the Visa Fee at NCB bank or does it have to be the beneficiary? thanks for help

We are getting things together. Pick up Medical Exam envelope tomorrow and head to Kingston Thurs for our Friday morning interview~~~

He needs to use his passport to pay and he needs the receipt for the interview.
