As much as I want to go visit him and his family, like yesterday.... I am hoping and praying, that I will see him sooner in the airport here.... He'll be so tired and worn, but so excited to see his new city and home. I will have to figure out how to take pictures, carry bags and drive all at the same time. LOL it's a little off topic, but the recent posts, brought it all back. and being where we are in the journey (NVC) it just feels good to dream of what may be

I got a new Jewish friend. He is hanging out in our group.(Phil-AM) never shuts up about born a Jew or can't be a Jew. Jesus was a Jew so how could anyone not be Jewish. It went on for like 30 mins.. Most self centered jackass I ever met.
I almost converted to Islam on the spot just to get him to shut up.

No, it's just intended to throw some poo in the general direction of anti-Zionists, hoping some of it will stick. Because of course it couldn't have to do with being opposed to ethnic cleansing, colonialism, land theft, depriving people of their rights for 70 years, etc etc etc etc etc
The “New Anti-Semitism” = criticism of Israeli policies and actions
The “Newer New Anti-Semitism” = support for Palestinian human rights

Point blank- if you are needing to consider hiring a PI at this stage in the game, just move on. Its a violation of trust on your part to spy on him = bad. Its bad if you are considering this next step if you don't have 100% trust already established. Even the strongest relationships have failed. Love doesn't happen just once in a lifetime. There are great partners out there-- someone that will move your world and theirs to be with you-- someone who won't let you doubt, and someone you can share your doubts with. When you find that person, you won't be here asking the VJ world for advice on spying.
If the foundation is shaky, this building is going to fall. Its only a matter of time.

I really hate double standards. If this was a female reporting a male for this kind of behavior, many people's reactions would be so much different.

An angry, controlling, manipulative person is not just made from a little stress or a bad situation ... You hear the story all the time from the more common female victim.... "but he was so sweet! he promised me the world!!" ...and then he gave me a black eye.
Sure we're in a public forum and God only knows the truth behind the stories, but abuse does happen to men too.

In my opinion he is acting on behalf of the child. Just because you carry and push it out doesn't give you a license to inflict your mental abuse on the child. That's like a "go down with the ship" mentality.
Granted, we've only heard one side of this situation, but from hearing this side and the advice of the police for her to get help I see there is a need for the child to have an advocate...the father seems to be taking that role, I commend him for that action.
I know this fact from my own experience, my ex-wife (who as you so aptly acknowledged carried and pushed out two children mind you) slid into mental illness and drug abuse (And I know not what came first). After trying to help and get her help numerous times I finally errored on the side of the children and became their advocate.
After two years of hell before the separation, I finally filed for divorce.
I have full custody of them now. In court I was my own attorney while she hired two attorneys during the lengthy divorce process. But sometimes truth trumps expensive legal council. After being divorced for 2 years I can tell you she never got the least bit better during this whole time and my choice was not easy to come by.
Was it the right choice? I have no doubt in my mind that I did what was required for the children…does that mean what comes around goes around…I sure hope so. I'm no hero, I did what was required, I wish more did the same.
Men can raise children just as well as women can, (the key ingredient being LOVE) it's not ideal, but rarely is life ideal...that's my two cents.
PS. Carrying and pushing out a child has been done for millions of years, by millions of women...raising that child takes up the other 98% of the nurturing process. Just because we don't have a uterous doesn't make us the devil.

Post partum depression can present many ways. Symptoms can be worse for persons with pre-existing mental disorder. If things turn violent - get baby out of house and call police. She can only be helped if she will accept the help!! You can NOT force a person to seek or accept treatment. Courts will not commit a person unless they are a danger to them selves or another person. Even then it takes 2 psychological reports from Psychiatrists recommending commital before courts can act! If you have custody of child, she gets nothing!

I went through nasty divorce 8 years ago, where are my suggestions. 1- hire a good attorney, preferably a female attorney. Courts don't like male attorneys attacking unstable females. 2- tape record her violent outbreaks, ie hidden tape recorder or video tape. You MUST have evidence to prove her unfit! 3- hide all evidence you have!- leave at work or with friend and never tell her you have evidence. During outbreaks, make sure you KEEP your calm and let recording show that she is the problem. 4- watch out, dont put yourself in compromising situations. She will make accusations about you! As for the child, she cannot leave country with child without your permission. . Keep a cool head, and get an attorney!

1400 years of Quranic exegesis and Islamic scholarship says it's wrong under the circumstances and that the methodology used is expressly forbidden. Those who transgress don't care a whit about any of that though.
In this country, laws forbidding activities are broken all the time by people who don't care that what they're doing is unallowed-their selfishness and wants take precedence, or they think the rules just don't apply to them. Their not following the rules doesn't mean that therefore there must exist some kind of true, real allowance for them breaking the rules just because they say there is.

"Administrative processing" in US visa applications

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP USA January 29 2010 When your employee applies for a nonimmigrant visa at a U.S. embassy or consulate abroad, keep in mind possible (and sometimes unforeseen) delays due to what the U.S. government calls "administrative processing."
The U.S. Department of State (DOS) website offers a helpful "Visa Wait Times" list here. The posted Visa Wait Times indicate the usual number of days it is now taking a particular U.S. embassy or consulate to schedule a visa interview/appointment for your employee, issue the requested nonimmigrant visa, and return the applicant's passport to him or her.
However, you and your employee should realize that not all visa applications go through the process without delay. While, with fastidious preparation, an applicant can often avoid delays stemming from forgetting a document, presenting an inadequate set of documents, or presenting incorrect or incomplete information that triggers either a denial or a field investigation, there is one factor that is largely beyond your employee's control. U.S. consular officers can issue a "provisional" (temporary) denial based upon "administrative processing."
Administrative processing can mean many things, but in most simplest terms, it means that the U.S. government has determined that some sort of additional security check or other clearance is necessary before the visa can be issued. Various factors can lead to such additional check, including but not limited to:

the company requiring, or individual possessing, education or experience in a discipline such as nuclear technology, supercomputers, global positioning systems, etc. that appears on the U.S. government's technology alert list and that triggers the consular officer's decision to seek extra security clearances; the applicant's past arrest or conviction for an offense; or a "hit" that results from some government data mining (such as your employee's name being similar to someone who is on a watch list, a prior address being the same building as someone of interest to the government, etc.) If administrative processing occurs -- which is more common now due to the Northwest/Delta incident and the earlier issuance of a U.S. visa to the alleged terrorist who was on one of the government's lower grade lists -- you and your employee can expect a delay in visa issuance for anywhere from two weeks to several months.
While your employee cannot generally do anything to avoid administrative processing and while the U.S. government will, absent extraordinary circumstances, not short-circuit the usual time frames for this extra processing to be completed, you and your employee can take a few steps to minimize the inconvenience if the U.S. government triggers administrative processing:

Alert your employee's manager that he or she is applying for a U.S. visa and the possibility of delay if a security check complication ensues so the manager is not surprised; Have a Plan B available that enables your employee to live and work abroad if his or her return is delayed due to administrative processing; and Recommend that your employee purchase airline ticket insurance so that if he or she has to change the U.S.-bound return flight, he or she does not face a substantial penalty when booking a new flight.
