Hi, I just wanted to know if its possible to send DS230 before the petiotioner sends the AOS. What happens here is that my co sponsor is on vacations and coming back in a couple of weeks. I already sent the choice of agent and my wife paid AOS fee. We are waiting the IV pack and pay the visa fee...so i thought maybe we can save sometime and send the DS 230 and then when my co sponsor comes back we send the AOS package. Thank u all

There are two tracks in NVC.1st is the AOS and 2nd is the IV application. Yes you can send DS-230 but only after IV fee has been paid and send AOS later on.

SO I just wanted to know if anyone has called the NVC and asked if there interview was assigned they said "NO, you missed the deadline for August"? BUT still received an interview date?

There is no such thing as DEADLINE. They schedule interviews everyday but it depends on the available slots in the embassy.

You know earlier it said my name under the petitioner and under status "Not invoiced" Now I am checking and it does not have my name nor anything under payment status. Is this normal? Is that a sign that it will be invoiced soon?

they are working on your file and soon you will not be able to login. but dont panic, it will be invoiced soon. maybe a day or two.

Interesting thing to note: though we never submitted the original PCC from Malaysia (just submitted the receipt), it still says O next to police certificate She will have the PCC with her though at embassy if everything goes as expected.

This is what VJ members might recommend: call a week out, then call a week later, after that start calling every couple of days. After 3 weeks, call every day. Average time from NOA2 to case number is one month. Hope you get yours sooner!

If you look at some timelines from the past, it only took a couple of days. It's been 6 days and no word yet. Maybe I will re-send the email.

Just wait for couple of more days. Resending the email wont delay your case.

Calm down man, People are just trying to help. Sometimes there are delays in the process but with a reason. Sometimes they need to do additional background checks or could be some other reason but if everything is normal, it will take a WEEK to review your document.

No need to yell at people. These people are not getting paid by you or anyone. They are trying to help everyone. They spend their precious time on this GREAT forum to answer your questions.

Just found out that its a fake checklist for IV and AOS. They reviewed my passport copy and my UAE residence visa that i sent them to change the embassy looooong time back.

They changed my embassy after two days of getting my passport copy. NVC email system is sooooo sloooooooowwwwww.

Just got DS-230 Part 1 checklist from NVC calling them now to find out more info about it.

IV packet delivered yesterday morning. How long it will take for NVC to complete my case if there is no RFE?

I guess that form is for Iranians as there are only two languages in the second page (1st English and 2nd Persian). Called NVC and asked about it from the operator. She was shocked and told me that she has not seen anything like that form before and in fact it says "PLEASE COMPLETE AND RETURN WITH FORM OF-230 (i)." She also said that we can always take it to embassy at the time of interview if it is required.

Mailed our IV packet yesterday. It should arrive at NVC around 3pm today.

Area Union counsel office should be able to provide you Nikah Nama.

if not, then nikah registrar is the best person to get that info.

Well my wife's interview is today @ 7: 15 am in ciudad Juarez hope to get visa approved! Wish us luck VJ family. Hope to report good news later. Good night big day ahead.

First three letters of the case number are the abbreviation of the interviewing embassy.
