Hi guys,
Those of you who have been waiting on AP for a long time, do you sometimes wonder why its taken so long for you?? Example: you use to live in 2 countries or more, or age different or been divorce so many times ...ect............Im just asking so i can have a idea in my mind about this AP thing.
If you are talking about living overseas then what is the purpose of police report. I dont know what they want to verify.

Has any male applicants who has done their non-immigrant/immigrant visa interview this year gotten approved on a visa?
The only one approval that i know of is for Muzammil. He applied for K1. They are putting almost all males in AP, doesnt matter if he is in pakistan or out.

Well i tried like 100 times but no one answer the phone. You can contact them on the link below, usually they respond within couple of days.

yes, he will need to get police certificate from all the places where he lived for more than six months and i would recommend you to get them attested from Foreign Affairs if possible because Pakistanis are usually put in AP for verification of documents.
-
We our case was approved from USCIS and we had our nikah done only in Islamabad. They never asked me any question regarding Rukhsati in interview.
-
i guess they forgot to change the date this time.

so what???? if they put u in ap....! ?
be a man b a lion....!
INSHALLAH....! Allah sa barii power koi nahii....! koi kuch nahii ker saktaa...! Jo Allah ka hukam hoga wohe ho ga.... keep praying....! everything will fine soon....!
You are right that everything has a time but my dear you are new in this process and time comes when you will get tired of waiting and then you will realize why exactly we are so frustrated and mad.
btw
-
Well it has nothing to do with your views. They don't only put pakistani in AP they almost do with every immigrant around the globe. so don't be frustrate. Mine took 5 month to clear. So just relax and wait.
i agree with virgo2012 as almost ALL Pakistani males are being put in AP without any time to complete. Some Pakistani people are in AP for more than 2 years. I am a Pakistani and i had my interview in Abu Dhabi, outcome was same, AP. In my case i guess it was already decided. They just look at the place of birth and put everyone in AP.

Interview in less then 10 hrs.... please pray for my fiance and I hope she does ok!
Dont worry about her. INSHALLAH she will get visa. They rarely put females in AP.

Hi guys, i was wondering if its possible to change the embassy from ABUDHABI TO ISLAMABAD after the interview. As i was put in AP in interview and it is effecting my relationship as we are far from each other.
-
Contact embassy for sure they will help you out but you might have to wait for couple of month more. Call em.
-
So here i go again, after 5 month from the interview date at the US EMBASSY IN RIYADH and nothing new, we submitted the missing documents on june,17,2012 and they took his passport, i thought its a good sign but here we go 5 month after whenever i email them they say still undergoing AP.
very frustrating as my fiance's employer called him saying that he isnt comfortable not having my fiance's passport and that its taking to long so i called the embassy today asked them to send us our passport and they said it will be sent by fedex today.
now how much longer am i going to wait? its not fear having us all being treated the same way as terrorist takes 5 month to check on his background and god knows how much longer we gatta wait, we both are so stressed out the rules are so stupid because if some one wants to be bad or a terrorist he wont apply for a k1 visa and wait all this time, not everyone comes to america wants to be a terrorist or running awya from something, its just STUPID.
i contacted my senator and all she did is contact the embassy and say that the case is still going AP well NEW NEWS is it? should i contact her again to investigate whats going on at the department of state? and help? any one ever speed up their AP by contacting senators? and any one with experience at the us embassy in riyadh and AP?
:help:
First of all I am sorry to hear about AP.
If you look at the my signature, you will notice that i got AP as well but its been a week. They have been putting almost all Muslim males in AP specially if he is from Middle East or Pakistan.
I agree with you that it is wrong that we are being treated like terrorists and we know how important is the national security. If someone want to spread terrorism then they wont wait that long. they don't apply for visa and wait for years. I think that this whole process should be transparent. At least the beneficiary and the petitioner should know what going on with their case. What is delaying this process or there should be a time frame.
I would suggest you to contact your senator again and this time contact your congressman as well.

The good thing is I know my divorce is final. I just need the paper from them. I will find someone I suppose (family is probably out of the question, especially ex in laws).
Thanks
I wouldn't ask my new in laws of this just doesn't feel right. Surprisingly I don't have good connections. Unlike other folks who have normal families, unfortunately I will leave it at that.
I will try though.
Thanks.
Do you know any person there in Pakistan?
-
Since I don't live in Pakistan (tickets are not cheap either), if I can not find a reliable relative (my luck that my family isn't all that), what would you recommend? Would it be possible to hire someone (again trust then becomes the issue)?
you must have some of your friends there. Try to talk to them, everything is possible in Pakistan if you have good connections. what about your new in-laws.

As stated above her K-3 expired while she was in Pakistan, nothing was filed further. She has not been in the US since (As far as I am aware). So what exactly do I have to be concerned with?
My divorce occurred in Pakistan as there was no where for me to file any documentation here. If there is please do tell me where as I have no marriage certificate for USA. I never married her here. I sent my divorce letter to her and the Union Council. Anyone have advice how I can get the Union Council in Pakistan to send me a divorce decree?
Either you have to go or your family member to the union council. They will be able to provide you with the divorce decree. If you face some trouble then a little GREASE
will solve your problem and speedup the process.

Unfortunately, it's common for those in MENA countries to be put into AP. It doesn't look like you had any red flags and were put into AP because of that. It's most likely just to do background checks. Hopefully it passes quickly though. Good luck!
Thanks saylin. Yes, we didnt had any red flag. They are putting almost all the paskistani males in AP lately. I just pray to ALLAH that they complete the process quickly.

Hi guys, its been a while. I had my interview yesterday at the US embassy in AbuDhabi which resulted in AP
. Below is the link to the review.

I went to Abu Dhabi a day earlier. I checked-in a hotel near embassy. Next morning, woke up and left for embassy. I reached embassy at 7:15 am. There were 15 to 20 people already sitting on benches. There were more people in IV than in non-immigrant visa queue. I was the first non-Iranian there and after that few other nationalities came near 8:00 am. Security guard came and asked everyone for their interview letters. He dividing the IV queue in to two and asked us to move to a screening room near the waiting area.
They asked me to put all the things and empty my pockets in a basket. Then they asked me to walk through the metal detector. They took my cell phone and asked me to take my things after they did airport style X-Ray scanning. The guard asked me to go to the next room and then another guard directed me to the main building.
After entering the main building, was greeted by the security personnel and given a number and then asked to sit and wait. People were coming in one by one and the hall was getting full. Around 8:20 am couple of officers opened their windows and then started calling the numbers.
Around 8:40 my number came up on window 8. The officer was female (Iranian) asked me for my appointment letter and then she asked me to sit again and went inside to get my file. She called me again, she was holding my file. She asked me for my passport and then asked me following questions:
1. Who is calling me?
2. For how long we have been married?
Then she gave me my original documents that we sent to NVC but then she gave me my original police certificates and the wedding pictures back that we sent to NVC. She asked me to sit and wait for my number on Window 11. I was called on window 11 in 15 minutes. The officer took my finger prints and asked me to sit again.
As I was waiting, I saw only one approval and rest were put in AP.
At roughly 9:10, I was called to windows number 7 where an American CO (female who was in her late 30’s) took my interview. She asked me to raise my right hand took oath from me and gave me the DS-230 to sign. Then she asked me following questions:
1. Who is the M (Petitioner)?
2. How long we have been married?
3. How did we meet?
4. Who arranged it?
5. Where is she now?
6. Where does she live?
7. Where does she work?
8. What is her job?
9. When did she move to USA?
10. How long I have been in UAE?
11. What do I do?
12. Where is my family?
13. Do I have any relatives in USA?
14. Have I ever been to USA?
The whole time she was looking at the computer screen. Then she gave me my passport back and she then turned around and took a blue sheet(221g) out of a folder at her back. She wrote my name, case number, category and date on the sheet and tick mark the ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING box. Then she said that “You are done for the day. Please visit the website mentioned on the sheet for the next steps. She closed my file and wrote “OO” or “00” on the file and put it aside. Before I left the window, she said, “It is going to take a while to complete the process and she can’t predict how long.”
I was out of the embassy by 9:30 am.
