  1. If you know for a fact your case was transferred to your local office and youre awaiting an interview then you should check the timelines link at the top of the page and search for people who also filed at your local office. You can then get a general idea of the processing times and how quickly or slowly your local office is moving based on the time between the transfer date and the interview dates.

If you havent been transferred to a local office yet and youre still at the NBC then checking the timelines wont tell you anything because theres no way to know how long youll sit at the NBC.

Thank you...I'll have to call 1-800 and talk to somebody to find out more...

You should get your EAD/AP approval in about 2 weeks, i got mine approved the 25th and got it in the mail Saturday. As it relates to the AOS interview, IDK what the hell is going on with that, i see a lot of people who has interview scheduled for feb & January so hopefully we hear something soon

Thanks djricky4...i got home and ther it was EAD card that serves as AP also...So now it is just a waiting game(again) for interview...never a dull moment with USCIS :)

  2. Rossana HAS THE VISA PACKAGE!!

she just picked it up from DHL>. they did not want to deliver for safety reasons of the content..

now she is freaking about.. NOT OPENING the wrong envelope.. lol.. we will skype later tonite.. and see this so called package together.. lol

still no POE date.. but will visa in hand.. she is not confident to make final preparation to leave

    fantastic!!

  3. Hey I have a question for anyone who did a small/courthouse wedding and are doing a bigger one later on - did you exchange rings at your first/legal wedding? Or just sign the papers?

I'm trying to figure out if we need to buy rings soon, or if we have a few months! (Legal wedding will be 01/01/13, as long as POE goes smoothly before Christmas, big wedding is 05/18/13)

It varies from county to county...In Texas no rings, witnesses etc. are required just the two of you and somebody with license to marry :)

  4. I read on the another post that a lot of people are not getting to the text/ email notifications. They just have to wait for the hardcopy. The wait definitely sucks. Even after I got the text my case is not showing up online so something is definitely up with their system. At least it helps to finally be married to my love and not have to go crazy about being a thousand miles away

yes...the good thing is we are together and married but what sucks is witing game all over again... USCIS is taking it slow as usually

  5. Ok so the people on the other October aos forum were not as active as us January filers. And I think I was the only k1 on it. Hopefully now that I am in the US I can be as active on here as I want to be! So I see you guys are worried about your applications. Hopefully this will help. We sent our packet on October 18 and got the usps confirmation that it was received on the 21st. I was creaking out because we still had no text or email but it finally came in today! It seems like this is normal so hope it puts you guys at ease a little!

Well, here, you are definitely not alone :) Yeah - January K1 filers are very very active bunch :) ...Thank you for sharing , it does start to sink in with me it takes them some time to initially process...Sent mine to Chicago lockbox on 10/22/12, USPS confirmed delivery on 10/24/12....so now it is a waiting game...no notice, check hasn’t been cashed yet...

  6. Ja sam od svakog naseg susreta u BiH, mozda poslala po 2-3 slike, ukupno oko 8-10 slika, ja mislim. Na svakoj pozadi napisite, gdje i kad. Nama nisu pravili nikakve probleme.

    Sretno :)

  7. I sent mine in the 16th of October and got the postal card that it was received on the 19th at Chicago but no letter, no text, no email... I sent a cashier's check so I don't know if it has been cashed or not. I'm not sure what it going on. I did include the form that lets them email or text. No idea what the hold up could be.

I hear ya...we are kinda in the same boat...not sure what's going on...considering their Fiscal year just started you'd think they would be rockin’ and rollin'...ah well....the usual USCIS...I'll give it few more days and then start calling...

  8. So glad you started this new forum Sparclight. Even though my AOS is going to be a while, I'll be here and watching.. wishing everyone well... plus I get to learn from all of your experiences... :P

    Good Luck to you! :)

Oh it will be here in not time:) :) I agree...I think my biggest takeaway from I-129 January Filers forum was learning what, when and how to do things and , of course, a place to vent with people who understand me:)

And of course, likewise my friend-good luck to you too!!!

  9. How are things with you sir? Long time no see :)

    Hey NOW!! :)

I know it has been a while...All is well...Ever since I came back I’ve been slammed at work and just doing paperwork and all kinds of errands kept me busy last month or so...Well, we got married two days ago and now we are getting ready to file AOS paperwork...It seems fairly straight forward but in any case we are together and here :) -nothing else matters

Congrats on the approval :dance::dance: and visa in hand :) :) now get packin' and start dreamin' :)

  10. You know the way each of us dreamt at some stage to go to sleep with a smile on our face and wake up without hoping and praying that this very day would be the day we can breath again?? Well are you ready for those promised tears of happiness??????

    POST DECISION ACTIVITY !!!!

OMG I am just after ringing Terry, we were crying like little babies...

Thank you guys for being there for me and I promise to be there for all of you who are left waiting and I will be updating you the way I have been every single day!

Congrats Sabi...loooong ovedue but hey...now everything moves fast...:dance::dance:

  11. Thank you guys!!! Approved!!!! Will write a proper review later but had a really good experience, no problems, very nice interviewer who asked the usual things (how we met, whether i wanted to work in US, if we'd spent much time with each others families, when our wedding was planned for). I was wiping away tears when she said i was approved and she said "stop it, or i'll start too!".

Called Andrew to tell him and I'm pretty sure he will need to be told all over again when he actually wakes up, i think he was sleep-skyping!

Thank you for all your support, jan filers, you all rock :star: I don't think it's sunk in yet but right now i'm gonna have a big glass of irish champagne (TEA!) xxxx

Wonderfull news :) congrats :thumbs: ....Great way to start a week...Lets hope for more good news!!!

  12. Hey guys, safely made it to Texas and sitting with my Hunny right now! (L)

Border Patrol was good... no hassles when crossing. :)

I think I missed almost 30 pages of our thread in 3 days, wow we are good!! :D

Can I just get a quick update? Any approvals?? I sure hope so!! Hope everyone

    is well!!

    Thank you!

:) Welcome to the great state of Texas:)  Now y'all enjoy it:)

  13. Not to call anybody out, but I wish our veteran VJ members would return and start actively posting again. I know a lot of them do, which is much appreciated, but I'm thinking particularly the member who had a nice chat with the VSC Director (pinned topic) and had a friend who is an adjudicator. Maybe they could have shed light on what's happening at VSC, but alas they have gone inactive. That's too bad :(

Maybe this can help a bit...It is common knowledge but hey..hang in there

Increased number of H1B visas + understaffed/untrained service center employees = delays in VSC....

if you want to read more... Last years conference but it can be applied to this year too..

  14. Well unfortunately I can't chase those people as I am the beneficiary and Terry feels bad chasing and ringing those people all the time. I don't know why but I just can't convince him its ok since we are customers... So he is giving up pretty quickly... All they tell him, he just accepts it as a fact when I am getting more frustrating each time i hear their excuses... All we can do is wait in that case unfortunately. We have sent the papers to the senator last night, so will ask Terry to give them a ring tomorrow to see if they got them amd what can they do for us...

Feel free to chase them..they are elected and they are suppose to serve their constituencies....You will more than likely ended up talking to a staffer...but at least it will bring their attention to a particular (your) case...Immigration is not the highest on their priority list but pleasing any potential voter prior to November this year counts:):)Good luck!!

  15. all I want to do on Fridays is cry... I hate weekends... and specially today, what a sad day! It's 10 pm here and I will be going to sleep disappointed again... 6 months worth of tears, I'd say I cried a river already and it might be an ocean by the time we are approved...

It is tough...I felt the same not so long ago...but , God works mysterious ways...Everything id going to be beautiful...You'll see..and once you get your NOA2...everything shifts from snail like pace to lightning fast....

    Head up...
