  1. For Dallas filers only.....I'm goanna call this somewhat encouraging piece of information...Just updated this morning : as of July 31st : N-400 Application for Naturalization processing date as of January 30, 2016 ....
So July is processing end of Jan (almost February well lets just call it February)...Then August should be March (maybe even April) so September would be April and early May....so any day now us May filers should be getting something...most of the time notice for interview is 30 days ahead ....I just hope usually end of the year push happens and we get our interviews soon....Dallas has been so a$$ backwards forever...

  2. It's Dallas.... they normally run behind( not terribly behind but they are slightly out of processing times standard). I see you are May filer (same as I am) so I'd expect to hear something this month or early next month and then to have interview scheduled about 30 days from the letter...all in all I'd say we should be done no later than November...I know from the past experience that in the end, it will be about average processing time.

My wife filed her N-400 packet in May and had her biometrics appt a few weeks later, a normal amount of time. Yet, there has been zero change to the USCIS webpage that displays status, no mailed notices, and no indication whatever of being in-line or having an interview scheduled, etc. I see that some May 2016 filers are already taking their oaths.

Any idea what might be going on? We live in Dallas, where I understand the wait might be longer. Is there any use in calling USCIS or are they just going to give us boilerplate non-info...?

We haven't moved since filing, so I don't think there's any issue there.

  3. Keep in mind they try to push hard in the last month of their fiscal year...it ends on September 30 so...luckily we all will see benefit from that

AZ is really slow, even slower than tortoise.. Lol

I am curious to see the next update to find out in an average how many days of applications are they currently processing in each month.

As of May 30th, processing Oct 27th 2015.

As of June 30th, Processing Dec 16th 2015.

so in one month they processed about 1 month and 20 days of applications..

    As of July 30th.. ??

    As of Aug 30th .. ??

To me, seems like they are six and half month behind. So For those who have filed in May. I am guessing Middle of October if the current pace continues..

  4. Cheer up every body....most local offices are processing N-400s in 5 months or more....so with that being said...us May 2016 filers are on the verge of our 4th processing month where we should start seeing huge influx of online notifications and interview letters and notifications for interviews 30 days or so down the road....so I think we are too anxious after sooo long and we have forgotten how everything has its pace (and most of the time averages just as the timeline said)

  5. Give it a few more weeks...Looks like San Diego is running slower than other...7+ months for processing but they tend to pick up slack as their fiscal year is closing...

    So....
I checked the march timeline and everything looks pretty much done.
    April is stil going....
And May!?! I still havent heard anything from them :( nothing at all.... Got my bio done 18th of may... Its not even updated online.
    Anyone on the same boat?

  6. Fantastic - now you are DONE!!

    Hey everyone!

I had my interview today (the chart incorrectly says the 15th, it was actually the 12th - I'll fix it when I update with my oath date). It all went smoothly except for one thing! Here's a summary:

It was at the federal building in New York. Interview was at 8:35. I arrived at 8:15, but didn't get called until 9:10. The interviewer went through some travel dates and compared them to passport stamps. He asked some questions that were already in the application (e.g. am I a communist). He asked six civics test questions, had me read one sentence, and write one sentence.

The only problem was that when I arrived he asked me if I had my birth certificate with me (I'm Canadian). I said no (because that wasn't on the list of things they asked me to bring and I obviously had my Canadian passport). Fortunately I had it at home so he told me to drop it by later in the day and he would adjudicate my application today. He gave me a sheet that said I passed everything, another sheet that said to bring the birth certificate, and I was done. All in all, about 20 minutes.

I went home, got the birth certificate, and dropped it off within the hour. They said I would get a letter in the mail with my oath date,

I'm gonna be a citizen! Yay!

  7. best thing you can do! good luck

I'm still going to go to immigration and have them check the case and review what I take to them. I just want this to go over smoothly from here on out. Never would have thought this process would be so hard... But it will worth it in the end once we're together. God be with you two on your journey (F)

  8. Just plan on canceling process to take 30-60 days...they have to investigate and make sure it is not cashed

Thank you everyone for your responses, he is going to check the second money order today to see if it was cashed and if not he is going to cancel it and we are going to send the envelope again, I think we did some things wrong the first two times, we didn't have a table a contents and we didn't put the photos in plastic bag, I just saw that we needed to do it by reading other topics on this website...I really appreciate all the information you guys gave me
