I believe biometrics is by the service center and interview scheduling is done by the field offices.

yeah from what I've seen biometrics are within 3-4 weeks from NOA and then it takes 3-4 months. I hope it is faster thou

Hello, everyone! I am new to this website but I would like to join to May filers We applied May 19th, 2015, Vermont Service Center. But still haven't gotten anything yet... I see some member who applied the same time don't have anything yet too, does anyone know if there is a problem?

I would definitely call to see what is going on... :oops:

Normally you would hear something within 10 business days...How did you pay? Did you send a check? Have they cashed it in yet?

Just got done with an interview...WE ARE APPROVED....super easy, less than 5 minutes...So - now we are good for about 2 years than again... Good luck to all of you still waiting

I'm in Dallas..just got notice for interview on 8/9...file was received 11/5...so yeah...about 10 months....

Anyone having any luck with the local office in Texas? From what I can tell, my case is still at NBC. Almost a 10 month wait for us thus far.

The last processing action taken on your case   Receipt Number: MSC139XXXXXXXXX  Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS  Your Case Status: Decision  On June 20, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.   During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

Well as we all can see...update on USCIS means diddly squat...Update happened on 5/Novemebr21 and data is of 3/31....so technically it is already late 2 months...Does that mean they should be processing December filers...not so much I’ve figured they do two weeks’ worth of filings in a month...so they are more than likely in mid -late October Early Nov filers as of today....my two cents (or maybe just my wishful thinking)....it is funny how deadlines and timelines mean one in private sector and totally another in Govt entities....Ah well...c'est la vie....

Just scheduled InfoPass appointment wit DAL immigration officer...People on the phone don't know s#¥t...I can read case status online-don't need them to repeat it to me verbatim...hopefully I'll find out more what the holdup is...this is just insanely frustrating

Actually, a lot of people get GC without an interview. For K-1s it is something like 50%.

The lucky ones get an interview. Those who don't wait a long time (like 6-9 months).

I talked to one attorney and he told me the opposite...very few get GC without...non the less...You are right it seems to be 6-9 months nowdays...used to be less a year or so ago...

I am not understanding your rationale. It is clear that interviews are being conducted on west coast and east coast local offices, and they are listing the same processing dates as those in the Midwest and South. However, they are being sent interview letters, and these are not associated with I-130's.

What don't you understand? My rationale that majority will need an interview or that local offices have significantly differnet times even in the same state...Houston, Dallas,El Paso in my case all have different processing times....Also there is a significant difference in AOS process for family based visas K1/K3 vs. employement base visas...each will have different processing times.

at my local office,people who filed on December they are getting interview already,

one of the members there interview was today at my local office and they filed on December,

we are 2 months earlier and we haven't heard any thing, I am sure there will be no interview for all October fillers who still waiting.

but the confusing, how the transfer case's works!!! and for How long!!!

Not sure what to tell you...I would like for that to be the case but my understanding is that very few get GC with no interview...Processing time is diferent for each case and depends on how extensive background checks are (what county the aplicant is etc..)

well,when it says As of January 31st they processing case's received on august 13 ,

and we are in March almost 31st,so they processing case's received on October 13,

that means I am close,

BUT when my turns comes,are they going to schedule interview? AND if there is no interview,Are they going to send me the card right away,Or they going to transfer my case some where else,and wait for few more months to send me the card?

most people who filed on October already have there interview,and the rest who still waiting it seems there will be no interview for them,

For my understanding,NBC process the case's,then they send them to the local office's,the local office's choice's some case's for interview and the rest they transfer them again to CSC,and from there they issued the cards,but not sure How long CSC will keep the case's,it might take a year,

There is no guaranty you will be called for an interview (but vast majority has had interviews so chances are you will too). My understanding is once they ship your case from NBC to your local office you will receive a notice and then shortly an interview scheduled...

So guys,since I field October 25th, on the case statues says acceptance,and the case processing in NBC,

at my local office says as of January 31 they processing case's of august 13 I-485,

So,is my case been transferred from NBC to my local office already?

do you think I will be interviewed after all that time?

Hows that works any way?

Since update is as of Jan 31st (and we are almost at the end of the March) you may add month and a half to 2 months to that date...So in actuality they are processing early October(one would hope)...Realistically - in a month or so you should hear something. Once NBC transfer the case to your local office the interview will be scheduled shortly thereafter (unless you are the lucky one not to have one) but generally once NBC clears and preps your file they are sending it to the local office to schedule an interview...so it looks like you are close...sit tight (I’m in the same boat)

I'm an October 2012 AOS filer. I haven't been transferred. Haven't heard a thing since my October 19th NOA1. I guess no news means good news!

Same here...If you haven't heard anything chances are RFE is not needed...Now it is just waiting for them to process the file and schedule an interview at the local office...(looks like Dallas office is running behind-they are showing July 30 as last processed date...bummer)

Thank you LCL... yes it is my lucky number!! My favourite number! So I was very happy to get the appt. for that day.

Hard to believe it's been almost a year to the day since we filed our K1 petition for the interview to come. Long long wait, and almost to the end!!

We got the EAD but still no word on scheduling of the interview...

Same here...Any method to the madness of how they selct who gets an interview invite and who they just process AOS and mail GC?
