You dont need to have any worries. My wife who was then my fiancee was 13years older than me. She came to Ghana once and spent only 6 days but I had my K1 visa very easily. Its all about the evidence and duration of the relationship. My and I were communicated for 18months before she came to Ghana.
I also know a guy who came here on a K1 and the fiancee now wife is older than him 21 years difference.

Togbega II got a reaction from CAPRICEJAH in KI visa 2013, joined Army, awaiting Naturalization certificate
My post was to provide answers to people who aint sure they can noin the military with 2-yr GC not YOU!! It's sad that we have people like you here who have nothing positive to say but to cast doubt and see things with myopic lenses from what people post here. So any foreigner who joins the U.S military does so for papers? I could still live my civilian life and still get my naturalization cos am still married to my wife. *In anycaes, everybody joins the military for a reason including U.S citizens. Most of them I met is because of students loans. Are you not doing your present job for a reason? What not any other job than what u doing now? Moreover, signing to join the US Army isn't a guarantee that u gonna graduate. So many people couldn't make it but I have made it. To serve the best Army in the world and be part of the 1% or 2%/of the people serving is enough satisfaction for me.
Thank you NLR. A word to a wise is enough.

I came here on K1 visa in Dec 26, 2013 to be with my wife. I received my 2-year Conditional GC in March, 2015 and decided to join the Army. I initially started with the Navy but my recruiter was too slow so I switched over to the Army. *You can't join the air force unless you have a 10-year GC.
I graduated 3 weeks ago and have now earned the title "American soldier". It was almost 10weeks of training. I had my Naturalization test and interview today which i passed. Am now awaiting my Naturalization certificate which I anticipate to receive soon.
I hope this provides an answer to somebody's question he/she is finding an answer for.

Just take it a day at a time. I arrived last year Dec 25 and went through the same thing your fiance is going through. I perfectly understand how he feels. I also have a daughter back home n calling to hear that she is sick shuts me down totally. My wife has been very supportive n patient. I never liked the food nor any other thing but guess what??? I now eat almost everything she cooks and settling down gradually.
Never be discouraged. Eventually, he will be fine like me. Treat him with much more love and care. Good luck

Like most VJ members have said, you will be in a better position to know what answers to give since this is your marriage and you know why you got married. My wife is 15 years older than me but we went through.
"How did you meet", " What does your family think of her" were the only questions asked in connection with her.
To be honest, yours is a big red flag. You being in the 20s is the issue. If you were to be in your mid 30s and the gap is still 30yrs, that wouldn't worry much but never say never. Your might go through and have your approval.
    NB
Please be careful of such questions on VJ cos it raises suspicion. I asked the CO who interviewed me whether she knows of Visajourney, and she responded saying they read it all the time.

Togbega II got a reaction from sarah86 in AOS+EAD+AP QUESTION
    Each application is different on its own. Each form must be accompanied by;
    1. I-94
    2. Bio page and visa page of passport
    3. Birth cert
    4. 2 passports photos
There isn't any cause for alarm. You will receive an RFE asking for what you didn't add.
item 4a: doesnt apply since we filed all three together.
item 4b: already in the packet with Form I-485 and EAD and AP. Should I have attached a copy of the I-94 to each of the applications separately?
    item 4c: not applicable
item 4d: and there goes the photos requirement again
Im sorry, i might be being a bit paranoid, and I should have asked these before hand but at least I'll know what to expect 1 Payment as required by USCIS. Use a personal check so you can track the payment. Money Orders are also accepted. Read the Guide to Paying USCIS Immigration Fees.
Note: Applicants filing for this benefit at the same time or while an Adjustment of Status (I-485) application is pending are not required to pay any fee as it was included in the "total cost" of the I-485. 2. Form I-765: Application for Employment Authorization properly filed out with correct filing category selected (see example for AOS applicants ©(9)) 3. If Filing as a category (a)(6), K-1 Nonimmigrant Fiance(e) of U.S. Citizen then: 3a. Copy of evidence of admission such as an Electronic I-94 Copy or (for older entries) a copy of a valid paper I-94 (front and back of form), passport, and K-1 Visa. Use as many of these as possible (I-94 is required); including a copy of the K-1 is recommended. Make clear copies. 3b. A copy of your last EAD (front and back) if any 3c. Two passport-type Photo's (see specification) 4. If Filing as a category ©(9), Adjustment Applicant then: 4a. Copy of the receipt notice or other evidence that your Form I-485, Application for Permanent Residence, is pending. If filing at the same time as AOS (in the same package) then you do not need to provide proof of filing (how could you)! 4b. Electronic I-94 Copy or (for older entries) a copy of a valid paper I-94 (front and back of form) 4c. A copy of your last EAD (front and back) if any 4d. Two passport-type photo's (see specification)

I went to the embassy yesterday for my interview. Ater submitting all my docs, i was asked to pay the visa fee of $240.00 (528 Ghana Cedis) to the cashier. Unfortunately, the counting machine wouldnt function anymore. Tried as much as they did, the machine still wouldnt work. I was therefore given a new appointment for today October 9.
I got to the embassy at 7.20am.
Once the cashier opened her window, i went there to pay. She was very apologetic for what happened yesterday. After paying, i went to do my finger prints. I retired back to my sit and started observing whats happening.
Everybody who went to Window 5 seem to be denied. Some passed by sobing and others with very red eyes. I became more nervous. Just when i was praying that i shouldnt be called to Window 5, i heard my name to come to Window 5. My heart jumped. WIndow 5????
    To my amazement, the lady at Window 5 was so nice and friendly. She also apologised to me for them not being able to interview me yesterday. I now became very confident. She then asked me to sign the DS156k in front of her. These were the questions she asked me;
    1. How are you?
    2. How did you meet your fiancee?
    3. What does your family think of her?
    4. When did she visit you?
    5. For how long?
    6. When did she depart to the US?
    7. What did both of you do for the 7 days she spent here?
    8. Do you have a daughter?
    9. How old is she?
    10. You stated she will follow you later?
After these questions, she gave me back all the Whatsapp chats, Fb chats, 37 photos, phone records, tax transcripts, etc. The interview was so quick that it didnt last more than 5 minutes. She said " I believe your relationship is genuine. Congratulations and report at the embsaay on Friday at 7.30am for your pasport with visa". I became speechless.
Thank you all VJ members for your prayers and support. My K1 journey has been flawless.

Why does the petition have to move 3 states before going overseas??
Completely illogical - I can now understand why many people enter illegally
