We certainly didn't have any issues. I feel for those trying to do it right, paying the fees and standing in line. What gets me boiling is the free pass being offered to ILLEGAL people that trespassed the border and system to get here. Of course we all know they are being courted for the vote.

Others have covered most of what i wanted to say but I would just say to be open minded about the Ex, you weren't there and didn't know the dynamics of that relationship. For example I drove 800 miles round trip to help my 1st Ex move apartments but I will not cross the street to pee on my 2nd Ex Wife is she was on fire.

Baghdad and im so confused I've meet two lawyers and they told me I have to apply for her I-130 form which is gonna take 3 years from
now !!!! And it's so hard for us to wait 3 more years , please guys I need you advice , what's the shortest way to come here ..

And that is a fact..........I am sure we will get pushed to the back of the line because our applications are not the priority......

It's my understanding if you are above the guidelines then you just need the pays stubs, tax transcripts, W-2 and letter of employment. Occasionally they can ask for the bank statements if your self employed. Others can chim in and correct me if I am wrong.

We are only a month or so into our journey and have a ways to go along with many hurdles to overcome. But as combursome as this process is, there is a reason for it and honestly, I have no problem with the forms, the processes, the requirements for the K-1. These are in place to prevent the unethical from flodding this country. We are (or where) a nation of laws and as such we should follow the process and do it right. Circumventing it because you are frustrated is not the correct option. Follow the rules, have patience and things will work out. Don't and they won't.

Hey there. me and my girlfriend are aiming for marriage in about 2 -3 years time. and we know that the k-1 visa is the one well need.
but my question isnt what i need to do, but more how much it'll cost.
so far ive got
she files the I-129F - thats $340
then when thats approved, i apply for k-1
application for k-1 - $240
DS-156 - cant see anything as far as this costs
Medical - im not sure as i live in UK and we have NHS
Extras - how much do i set aside for all this? the police records, and other literature?
then the I-485 - $985 + $85 Biometrics
can someone hopefully give me a better idea as im going to need this on top of my travel money to get over there
